Marseilles Hotel

Our room appeared newly renovated with plenty of natural light and windows that open. The hotel has it listed as a Junior Suite but I disagree by definition, nonetheless it was very clean with a tile floor, Jacuzzi tub in the far corner (not inside the bathroom therefore no door, no privacy) and a refrigerator sitting on the floor. We enjoyed the mainly […] city but also partial ocean view from our ever-so-tiny balcony. The worst about the hotel are the paper-thin walls - - - we heard the conversations from the hallway and every metal guest room door that closed on our floor with a resounding "clank and thud" noise which woke me up every time. Parking was disappointing- NO VALET OPTION - it's self-park only, walking a short distance (up Collins Ave 1/4 block, cross the street, and walk about 1/8 block), gated with a code, about 14 parking spaces total, and no attendant. The best is the hotel's location with direct beach access & lovely outdoor grounds to walk through on the way. I found the staff to be friendly & attentive-no complaints. I wouldn't pay top dollar to stay here but it's a deal if you find a 2 1/2-star rate. Read more

Hotel is being entirely remodeled so there is lots of dust and corridors/elevators are totally trashed. Also, we found it hard to shower since there was almost no water running and AC extremely loud. Once the remodel is over, it's gonna be a great place to stay !

Stayed Christmas Day, pre cruise. Hotel apparently renovating. Some of our groups rooms were on 2nd floor, and amazing. Rooms on 8th floor old, small,and iuncomgortable. Where to start... The pictures online are much nicer than actual hotel. But, with that being said, it was clean and bed was comfortable. It's just very old and the rooms are old. I went with my 16 month old son, the hotel and surrounding area isn't that family friendly or conducive to family stays. The location of this hotel was just what I wanted. Within walking distance of Lincoln Road Mall, and on the beach. However, on Saturdays they sponsor a free, very noisy party that lasts all day. The hotel in general was ok. The bathrooms were completely outdated, but the rest of the room was fine. The pool was decent, but seeing some of the other pools from the other more expensive looking hotels made it seem a little dinky. At least the room was not the typical cookie cutter room. It had nice windows and a beautiful curtain. For the money, you can't do better. Access to the beach, pool, palm trees. Across the street from Lincoln Road. I will definitely go back.

Really awful. What a terrible hotel. The beds were very squeaky and moved when you sat on them because they were on rollers and the floor was tile. The shower was absolutely the pits, as the cold water tap dribbled, literally dribbled water, so there was no pressure to have a decent shower. It was like standing under a gutter after a medium rain shower. […] We told the hotel about it on our first day, and they did nothing. The walls were paper thin, such that we could hear the moaning from the persons having sex in the next room...even the man's grunting. We had a 4 year old child with us, and try explaining that !! We also complained about the music from the same room. The hotel was clean enough, but really never again and I recommend that it be avoided if you want a normal stay. We only stayed there because it was on Collins Avenue, next to the beach, and had a large pool. The WIFI was very sketchy. We had to pay $12 for access, but were refunded after complaining that it didn't work all the time. Read more

Detta hotell ligger nära stranden och nära gångavstånd till restaurang och shoppinggatorna Lincoln avenue och espanola way med hundratals restauranger. Rummet var rent och städningen utan anmärkning. Marseilles Hotel ligger perfekt i forhold til Lincoln Road og Art Deco, og har en skøn baghave med pool og bar som grænser lige op til Miami Beach. Man skal derfor ikke krydse vejen for at komme til stranden, og hotellet yder også håndklæde service. Dette er vores andet besøg på dette hotel, og vi kommer retur. Hotellet gennemgik renovering i 2011, […] og alle værelser fremstår derfor pæne og rene. Vinduerne kan dog ikke åbnes, og køleskab skal man huske at bede om. Vi kommer inn i en litt sliten Lobby som ser ut som den trenger mer oppmerksomhet. Biljardbordet i lobbybaren er i god stand, som den eneste detaljen som er det. Når vi går ut av heisen i 4 etasje er det en merkbar lukt av småråtten fukt som flyter mot oss. Vel inne på rommet setter jeg meg ned på sengen som skriker tilbake. Hver milimeter med bevegelse […] frembringer et vanvittig knirkeorkester. Og det kommer fra BEGGE sengene. Jeg spør en dame i heisen senere om sengene, de er visst slik overalt. Anbefaler ingen å spise mat på hotellet, eller på den fryktlige Sushiplassen over gata, gå å finn noe annet. Dyrt og dårlig mat. Det er kort vei til alt og mye bedre kvalitet på alt, bassengområdet ser helt fryktelig slitent ut men man har blitt vant innen man kommer dit. 30$ for å parkere bilen pr dag (inngjerdet og bra, men sykt dyrt) 12$ for internett er bare ufint. Anbefaler dette hotellet hvis du skal på fylletur og ikke er så nøye. Read more

These places just needs taken care of. Location though was fantastic, just next to lincoln road and you could enter the beach directly from hotel back entrance. The staff was so so. They had a hard time, and often didn't know what to due, simply because of all the problems this hotel had, but thanks for trying. Een aanrader, op dit ogenblik (zomer 2011) is men nog steeds bezig met totale renovatie van de kamers. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is voor ons de derde keer dat wij hier logeren, de ligging is gewoon super en het hotel betaalbaar wat toch ook belangrijk is in Miami Beach; . Ik keer hier zeker nog terug.

Sehr alte renovationsbedürftige Zimmer und Sanitäreinrichtung. Für 4 Personen nicht zu empfehlen, sehr kleine Zimmer. Warmwasser konnte beim Duschen nur sehr mühsam eingestellt werden. Die Lage des Hotels ist jedoch ausgesprochen gut.
