"Poor"
The location of the hotel was EXCELLENT! U just cross the st and the beach is there. However the hotel itself wAs nasty. You walked dlwn the hallway and is smelled like insect repellent and moldy. The elevator doesn't work, had to carry our luggage up to the third floor!!! It's super small! You have to hunt down housekeeping for towels! It was by far the worst experience in our lives. My wife and I booked this hotel knowing not too expect luxury at the price we payed however the condition of this hotel is deplorable! Old, dirty, smelly. Our room had roaches and blood spots on one of the towels. The noise was extreme and the kind of people that stayed in this place seemed to be like […] a bad neighborhood that you normally avoid. Don't try to bring anything to the staff's attention because they simply do not care an they are very rude on top of it. We have encountered situations where many of the guests had issues and were just ignored and treated bad. In addition to this drunk people, police and ambulances in the hotel lobby to top it off. Also in addition to paying for the hotel and other taxes mentioned when booking the hotel also charges a resort fee of $12 per day. Let me just say, I don't know who owns this hotel but he should be ashamed of himself. I would not stay this place again even if they would pay me. "Worst Experience EVER..."
Upon our arrival, we were instructed that they did not have the two beds that we had reserved and that all that they had was a king. After checking out both hotels to the left and right and finding that this was the only option, I obligingly took the room. We stayed there for a day and upon us leaving we were instructed that because we booked online […] that we were forced to pay an additional $15 for beach towels, the coffee in the room, and the bottles of water in room even though we did not use any of it. When I asked for him to show it to me he said that he didn't have an internet connection but that I could check it out online when I got home. ""DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY""
My girlfriends and I wanted to go on a 4 day mini vacation, and we chose the MAJESTIC.This was the "WORST" decision we could have made. The hallways and carpet were DISGUSTING.The cleaners never actually changed the sheets, they only turned them inside out. On the second day, the front desk called our room and said they were starting construction on […] the whole second floor, so we had to change rooms. They claimed they were giving us a upgrade, and moved us to the third floor. Once this happened our stay only got WORSE, because they put us in a room directly in front of the elevator that was being repaired. WE were scared right out of our sleep at 8am when the drilling and repairs began. I immediately called the front desk and they apologized, but said this was when the repairs had to be done. The manager Carla, then offered to waive the $12.50 BOGUS resort fee and any phone calls, which I accepted. Upon checking out, we went to the front desk to return the room keys, and they told us we have a balance for the resort fee. I advised we were told it would be waived, but they said they have no documentation of this. They advised they were not waiving the fee and will deduct the amount from our mandatory $150 deposit if we don't pay. I argued that is not fair and they told us to take it up with Carla. A éviter à tous prix ! Ocean Drive est une avenue très prisée pour son ambiance et très bien pour sortir, mais les hôtels sont vieux, bruillants et sales. De plus les photos avec vue sur la mer et l'accueil de l'hôtel ne correspondent pas à la réalité.
