My only problem with the room was the cleaniness the tube was dirty and the sheets on the bed had hair on it when I stripped the bed. No toilet tissue was in the room. Parking costs $10 a day but there is plenty of it and seemed safe enough. Great view from room 318 directly accross from the beach, and walking distance to so many good restraunts and stores. For the price, the hotel is good...It is on the beach. It wasn't in a terrible section of town although when we arrived at 2 AM we did see some "ladies of the night". Sure, we all know that the Ocean Surf is an older, budget hotel, but taking all of that into consideration, if just basic lodging and amazing proximity to the beach are important to you than this is your place.. The rooms are sparse, with just the essentials (including a small min-fridge) but are dutifully maintained by a staff of housekeepers who are […] eager to help you with anything not to your liking. On our most recent stay the TV remote was missing and the housekeeper immediately called in someone who brought a universal remote and quickly programmed it to the TV. Security in the room is fine, with double locking doors and a room safe (mandatory charge of about $2.00 a day, but still worth it) After few tips to help with your visit: Complimentary breakfast (7-9) in the morning is bagels, pastries, cold cereal, coffee. Thought we would take a chance and try this hotel out. The location is nice, walk across the street and your on the beach. It was not crowded and the beach area was nice and clean as well.
