"south beach for a night"
The wife and I were headed out on a cruise and decided to check out south beach the night before. The hotel was right on the main strip, which was it's one saving grace. The front desk barley spoke English and was rude. The armoires in the room were broken on at least one hinge. My room had a great layout and was very clean. The beach is right across the street from the hotel along with a playground for kids. I would have given this hotel a slightly higher rating if it was not for some of the maintenance work being done during my stay. I understand that work needs to be done but at 8am? "Convenient location"
My experience overall was ok. I came with my husband and we had a pleasant time. My only concern was the third floor it had a very unpleasant odor throughout the hallways. It was a stale odor . Harold is a member of the hotel management and he was awesome. He gave us good tips about places, but the hotel itself could be better. The first room that we stay was not very clean, and in the first shower, the shower tap (which was very old) just brake in my hand. "Hotel Oceans - not to bad, but could improve"
At first glance, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are very spacious and the interior is nice and complete. There are a few things you should know own before you decide to book this hotel. The most notable thing is that the hotel is situated above an Italian restaurant that has live music scene evenings per week. The performance is from 7 until 11, […] if you want to get some sleep before 11 you can forget about it. That won't be possible, the volume of the live performance is just too loud. The room is was supposed to have a bath, ours was equipped with only a (moldy) shower. A quick study of the floor plan showed us only one room per floor has a bath. The continental breakfast was kinda disappointing. No fresh ingredients, only bagles with cheese spread or jelly. The breakfast area (situated in the Italian restaurant) smelled of sewage. Eating breakfast there was virtually impossible. "Quaint & Comfy"
The balcony could use a hose down and furniture, the shower tiles had mold and the sprayer was at an odd angle and sprayed at one setting...very hard! The hotel is on top of a restaurant which is very loud music that your can hear in your room. The loud music runs from 10am to 2AM. Some of the staff members tried their best. This was the the only good experience. Hotel is not being maintained well. You can see the sign of it being neglected on the reception desk itself. We stayed in this hotel over the WMC weekend. Our toilet flooded twice, the maintenance guy never showed up, had to complain twice. We managed to get moved into a 1 bedder, ocean view hotel which was great. The staff were very helpful. The bathroom was not very clean (we found some hair on the wall in the shower and the second day they did not replace the body and hair wash despite it was finished). Positivt Bra läge, väldigt nära till restauranger, bra parkeringsmöjligheter i närliggande parkeringshus. Gratis att låna cyklar från hotellet. Negativt Dålig städning, bäddade egentligen bara sängarna och bytte handdukar, ingen golvstädning under den veckan vi var där. Vi fick tjata på dem för att dem skulle dammsuga en gång (blir rätt mycket sand […] efter några dagar på stranden). Perfekt läge nära stranden med trevlig personal. Tyvärr väldigt lyhört och då resturangen spelar musik och även har live musik med flamenco dansare det måste man tänka på. "Sympa mais bruyant"
L'hotel est situé dans un coin animé, avec pas mal de bars tout autour qui jouent de la musique jusque tard dans la nuit. Le calme dans les chambres est du coup plutôt moyen.
