"Small but affordable"
There were visitors in other rooms that were very noisy and other people who kept pounding on our door throughout the night so I didn't get much sleep. The fitness room was small with only a stationary bike and one other machine. If you are just looking for a room and can sleep through noise, this is the place for you. "Our Howard Johnson stay in LaCrosse was great."
Even though the hotel was "sold out" during a peak tourist season, we found that the service was very good in every way. It was quiet, the breakfast had a lot of good choices (there seemed to be sufficient for all), and the staff had time to give recommendations for eating places and places to tour.
