"You get what you pay for"

"Gross and Loud"
The rooms were not clean and it was loud all night. If you want a good night's sleep this is not the place to go. The hotel's location is ok and the front desk worker was friendly enough but there were odd smells in different parts of the hotel and people running around screaming and talking at all hours of the night. "Stayed there previously"
We enjoyed the stay. However, when we tried to use a side door, our room key did not work, and we had to walk around to the front entrance. This is the second time we have stayed while visiting our son at colledge. It is a cheap stay with a good location for us. The staff was wonderful, helpfull so attentive. I think it is not good PR to have staff smoking at front entrance. Sheetrock torn off in our bathroom. Doors repaired improperly, jam missing parts. Comforter stained. Location was great, but the morning I left I had to carry my luggage down 3 flights of stairs because the elevator wasn't working. "Close to my route and ez to get around"
At first I was put at the end of the registration desk, the first door in the hallway. I asked for a substitution and the maintenance man was able to verify another room was open and available. Room was okay as far as cleanliness and comfort. Locks on the doors were too flimsy, the peep hole did not work, and there was no chain on the door. From midnight to 3 am there was a great deal of noise, yelling, and foot-pounding in hallway. Staff was only marginally helpful with dealing with this problem. My boyfriend and I stayed At Brookstone Inn this past weekend we were in the room right off of the lobby. The air conditioner did not work, we were gone most of the day and had the air conditioner set at 60 and when we returned that night it was not cool at all the room was muggy and very uncomfortable and had a bad odor to it. The lights kept flickering […] and one of them was burnt out. The bathroom heat lamp did not have a knob to turn it to a setting, and because of that after a shower the bathroom mirrors were fogged up for a while after. The door hand was replaced and there was no other type of lock on the door. It was a terrible night.
