"So close but so far"
Arrived at 6:30 to only one person working the front desk. Took forever just to check in. In our room there were at least 40 empty beer bottles and another forty empty beer cans in the closet. "Comfortable Stay"
No major complaints. Comfortable beds with high quality matresses and bedding. We were on a ground floor porch room and it being fall, ants were finding their way into the room hanging out by the window and door sills. "great location but poor service"
Arrived at 2:35, but had to wait til exactly 3pm to check into our room, then, the key demagnitized twice and the staff acted like it was our problem. Room was noisy from the atrium and the air conditioning didn't cool the room. We loved this hotel. We wanted a pool to enjoy and this one fit the bill spending many mornings/afternoons pool side soaking up some rays. The hotel has great food and the staff are friendly. We had planned our vaction to Spokane at the beginning of summer...our kids were very excited to stay at the Red Lion with the great Pool. We were also going to spend 2 days at Silverwood theme Park. On our way to the park the first day we were rear ended. The Red Lion transportation staff was very helpful and picked us up from the Urgent Care. They […] also accomodated us with a free Breakfast. "The Red Lion at the park- Spokane"
I will never stay at this hotel again nor recomend it to anyone else. The room was very cramped, never mind the bathroom was way to small. Only one person could be in there at a time so bathing my children was a bit challenging. We booked the hotel for the the outdoor pool and slide knowing our two boys (9 and 6) would love it. They did indeed enjoy […] it until all of a sudden the hotel decided to close the slide to anyone 16 and older. I guess there was some sort of inspection....it was never made clear to anyone at the pool. Also too we wanted to order drinks and were told that the beverage bar was closed for the week and if we wanted anything we could go upstairs ourselves. Really!!!! How about sending someone down to take orders???? The final starw was the parking situation. We were told we had complementry parking and then were charged 9.00 anyways for the parking and when I called to get it refunded was told the person handling that was not in and to leave a message. It was a great place to stay. Right downtown, and very close to the theater. Only negatives were that hotels.com didn't bother to mention the $9.00 parking charge. We had another nice stay at this hotel. The front desk people were very welcoming. Our concierge helped up get a shuttle, as quick as he could. The breakfast menu was nice and children ate free, which was a wonderful perk from the hotel, as we had our grandson with us. One night was a little noisy , as some parents let their children run up and down […] the hallway untill 11:30 . I am sure the front desk would have handled it, had I given them a call . Pet friendly hotel we brought out bull mastiff cross on our little Easter weekend holiday. It was great having the Park nearby as there was so much to do. The dog loved it! daily jogs additional walks. The kids enjoyed the Park and the rides provided there. Hotel staff courteous and polite!!
