"Awesome lounge"
Overall it was okay, few maintenance issues, they charge for parking if you are staying there. They do offer free lower speed wifi which is nice when you are just checking email. The lounge was awesome though! It had lots of TV's with a variety of sports on, lots of seating, great food and very friendly staff! This was defiantly my favorite part!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Price far exceeded the service. Towels were frayed, room was hot. Gated parking would not let me exit. Overall, just a room to stay in nothing more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A bit pricey for what you get"
They like to nickel and dime you to death. Charges for everything or every service. $9 per day parking is a bit much. Room service is pricey too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"So close but so far"
Arrived at 6:30 to only one person working the front desk. Took forever just to check in. In our room there were at least 40 empty beer bottles and another forty empty beer cans in the closet. The rooms are dated a d the bedding was like sleeping on 400# sandpaper. Thankfully it was only a stop over on our way back home from skiing in Idaho. Would not […] stay there again. Even with the Expdeia discount we felt that while it was nice, it was expensive. $9/day parking, decent rooms but nothing out of the ordinary.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location and staff, "interesting" layout"
Hotel is nice and Staff was very pleasant and professional. The location was great for a walk to downtown and the restaurants. The hotel looks like it had been renovated but it looks like most of the renovations were outside the rooms. The bathtub in the room had a lot of pink spots on it, not due to lack cleaning but more due to age. It seemed some […] areas of the hotel/rooms were not updated by choice. I got a little lost due to the layout of the hotel. There are two different sets of elevators and same numbers given to floors that don't connect; for example 5th floor in one section of the hotel does not connect to the 5 floor in another section of the hotel. Perhaps re-labeling the floors would help, but this is not a deal breaker for me. I would still consider staying again at the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Based on the location and size of the hotel I would have expected a higher quality hotel. However the Red Lion seemed a bit dated and old.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice pool, great location"
We really enjoyed the pool. I am a runner so being able to access the Bicentennial trail from the hotel was a plus. On the negative side the room was small, the tub had two noticeable chips in the porcelain and there was an off odor (not gross or strong, more like stale) in the hallway and bathroom. The beds were fine, linens were nice, but the pillows […] were beach balls so we made a run to Walmart and ought inexpensive replacements. This seems to be an issue we have had at all Red Lion hotels. Cudos to the waitstaff and the breakfast buffet, the charges were really reasonable. All in all we would stay there again. "$9 parking at the Hotel"
The stay was great, the $9 parking fee which is not in the room price is outrageous!!!!! Breakfast is expensive, close to downtown, movie theater, and shopping..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was okay"
The hotel is nice, but the room was likely the smallest I've ever seen in a modern hotel. We don't need lots of space, but if space matters to you, keep it in mind. The room also had a strong chemical odor that wasn't unpleasant, but odd and annoying. The hotel is within easy walking distance from Spokane's downtown area where their is plenty of shopping, […] entertainment and restaurants. The hotel also charges several dollars per day for the privilege of parking in their parking lots. I have no idea why, but it amounts to the rooms being more per night than their listed prices — a somewhat sneaky way of having higher prices than their advertised rates suggest, I think. Anyway, it left me much less inclined to stay at another Red Lion in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"On the Spokane River and Park"
Because of our anniversary, we were upgraded to a executive suite, which was not ready for occupancy. The next suite was just an overlarge room. The final suite was pretty good. Because of the hassle of the upgrade, they were to send us champagne within the next hour. Two and half hours later, after a call to them, it arrived. Went to the lounge for […] a drink before dinner, restaurant was closed for a private event, and the fire alarm went off and we were ushered out on the deck. Luckily the weather was warm, the same restaurant menu was available on the deck. Had to laugh, but that is what has kept us together after all these years. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Riverfront Park"
We paid the extra money for a premium room, which was supposed to be larger than the regular ones. It was TINY! I would hate to see how small the other ones were. The room itself was very clean and the hotel was very quiet!! I had to wait 20 min to check in and their were at least 15 others behind me. There were 2 times that we tried to call the front […] desk to ask a question and no one ever answered. The parking situation in a nightmare!! You cant get out of the parking lot without your hotel key, and this seemed to cause a lot of confusion for some people. We only stayed 3 days but each day got stuck in a line up of 10 or more cars that were trying to get out but we were all waiting on one person that could not figure it out. The best part of this hotel was that it was clean and very quiet and you can walk right across the street into riverfront park. The customer service on the other hand I felt really needed some help. I loved how close the hotel was to downtown Spokane and Riverfront Park. The carpet in the room was filthy. My kids feet and socks were black after just a few minutes. When we booked the room we asked for ajoining rooms, and was assured upon booking that we had them but when we checked in our rooms were not even next to each other. "new parking fee!"
I thought this was the bargain, but I didn't consider a $9.00 daily parking fee that was added after I reviewed my bid on Hotels.com. Check in time is at 3pm but i could not get my room til after 4pm. I was there visiting for a funeral, i asked for a 45 minute late check out and they would not allow it??? Arrived at 2:35, but had to wait til exactly 3pm to check into our room, then, the key demagnitized twice and the staff acted like it was our problem. "Red Lion At The Park - Spokane Wa"
The Webpage made it sound like it would be close to Silverwood which was the reason for our trip. It is actually 45 miles. If I would have known I would have stayed in Idaho. Wasn't worth the money we paid. Paid extra for a premium room. Didn't get anything special. Coffee maker didn't work and requested a replacement. When it came, it didn't work either. I told them that I was going to go get instant coffee and all that was said was "Okay". So, I ended up having instant coffee. The bathroom was very small. Don't get me […] started on the breakfast buffet. I have had breakfast buffets at "cheap" hotels that served more then they had and I didn't have to pay for it. They charged $10 per person for some bread products, some type of eggs with tomatoes in it, some type of potatoes, sausage (that was cold) and bacon, fruit, oatmeal (that was good). "Mediocre experience"
Room wasn't ready at/after check-in time (3:45 PM), was told would be ready in 15 minutes, reality was closer to 45 minutes. They would not issue a key for me to drop off my bags, even though they knew the room number, and even with a paid reservation. The commitment was to call me on my cell phone in approximately 15 minutes after the room was cleaned, […] and to then provide my key. 45 minutes later, I returned to the front desk, only to wait a few more minutes. "Hard to say"
While my check-in and breakfast experiences were great. The dated decor and checkout experience were not so great. I found myself wondering if I made a good choice when I entered the room. "Bad Service, good hotel"
Even though I called twice to verify that we were arriving late at night and wanted adjacent rooms, which they assured me would be no problem, they gave one of our rooms away. The breakfast service was slow and they appeared to be not only understaffed, but undertrained and unprepared for the number of guests staying while fully booked.Genuine Expedia guest review
"You have to pay to park!!!!"
This hotel requires you to pay to park there! When I was checking in, I asked if that was included in the rate I paid from Hotels.com. She didn't know but said she would look into it and let me know. I was charged for the parking. How ridiculous is it to have to pay to park at the hotel you are staying at?? That was not mentioned as an extra expense […] when I was booking the room. It turned out not to be such a great value after all. The service at the in-house restaurant was poor, both at dinner and at breakfast. The food was not very good for the price. It was mediocre at best, but priced for fine dining. I would not recommend this place to my friends and family. If you are only concerned about being close to downtown, and don't care that you will be charged to park there, then it is okay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Location"
The hotel itself is situated in a nice location, next to a nice river, close to downtown, near Gonzaga, and overall just very convenient. The hotel is very dated in its decor and architecture - not exactly the nicest interior design in the lobby or even the rooms. I wasn't specifically a fan of the rug in the hallways or bedrooms and everything about […] the lighting was just very dark so I could exactly tell how clean the floors or walls were. The window in my hotel room looked as though it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly so I never really open the curtains. The outside view was VERY pretty and it was a shame that I couldn't keep the window's open or see through it clearly. Service was great, the people were nice and friendly and tried to make small talk. The doormen were nice in opening the doors in time for you to walk in. Overall it was a nice stay because it was convenient in various aspects of its location. The price was $130 for one night and I wasn't even sure if there was anything else included, like free breakfast, no one really notified me about any of that...but it didn't matter cause I would have preferred to eat out somewhere else. Room is noisy, must have been a huge party across the hall as everytime the door opened it sounded like it opened directly into a bar with a band. No music or pay for view movie channels.
