Customer service was as if not available to those who book online. We called for help and recieved none. Apprently they were too busy with the large group that was there and neglected the others. "Not sure where the "Comfort" or 4 stars are from"
We chose this hotel for our trip to Silverwood because it was a) cheaper than Couer d'lane, and b) it had 4 star ratings. Considering that the rate was still not THAT cheap, and because Comfort Inn is an established name, we were expecting comfortable, clean but not luxurious. When we drove up the first time the first thing we noticed was that it wasn't […] in a good neighborhood. Second, it was apparent from the outside, but especially the inside, that this must have been an older hotel that CI took over. There were many dated nooks and crannies (the bathroom had peeling wallpaper). Also, we have certainly stayed in fresher looking (dirty comfortors) and smelling (must have catered to smokers in its history) in our travels. The beds were rock hard. And, while it may be a small issue, the hallways were stifling hot, especially at night. The staff were fine and courteous. I was scared of the neighborhood, and once in the halls I felt like I was in the Bates Motel. the lobby was nice enough, pool looked inviting but I didn't try it. The bed was very comfortable, as well as the pillows. We did, however, notice a layer of dust on the furniture when we walked in the door of our room and there were small pieces of wood on the carpet. The staff were friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed here because of coming into town for my sister's wedding that I was in. Basically we just wanted something inexpensive and decent...and that's what we got.
