I did not rent a hotel it was a villa/condo. It was nice and comfortable. I have recommended to a number of people. We enjoyed the nice, long screened in porch of the villa. Just waiting on my $100 security deposit to be refunded.

The condo was very nice, clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was that when we booked the room, it said that there was an indoor pool. We even spoke to people with the rental company to confirm our reservation prior to checking in. However, when we checked in we were told that the condo we were staying in did not have access to an indoor pool. […] That was one of the amenities we were looking for since we were traveling in the winter with small children. So that would have been good information to know prior to booking, that not all the condos have access to all of the amenities listed. That should be listed somewhere. Room was kind of clean. Sheets could have been upgraded and electronics also. Trash and food left from previous renter. Master bed was two twins out together :-(. But it was a very quite area and had local activities to do.

We stayed at a 3 bedroom Golf Villa at River Oaks. The King size bed in the master bedroom was 2 singles pushed together which leaves an uncomfortable crack in the middle which defeats the purpose of a king size bed. Really liked the area. It was nice pretty and all the greenery was awesome. Really would have liked to have been closer to the beach. The room itsself was great. Would have liked for the kids room to have had a bigger tv. The dvd players were also a plus. The room was furnished with everything you would need. It was like being @ home.

Condo was very roomy. Pool and hot tub very nice. Great area for golfers. Lots of stairs to room. We stayed on 3rd floor and had to carry everything up stairs. Rooms were very spacious and enjoyable. Loved the screened in porch. Had an enjoyable family vacation.

It's a very nice condo locations is close to the outlets on 501 but kind of a hike from every where else. room was clean and staff was accomodating. overall good experience. It is close to the mall and outlet on 501 so theres lots of restaurants and shopping. nice tennis court several pools indoor and outdoor.

We "checked" in on Christmas Eve. When we checked in, the office was closed. After driving around for a while and finally finding internet to get a phone number we found a box to check in. In the box was a map. We read the map on the front, and it took us about 6 miles down the road. After finding out that we needed to use the map on the back of the […] paper, we found our condo. The floors were gross. There was food all over the dishes and no soap to clean them. The heater was broken. No internet. You needed a password. There was a indoor pool that we were very excited about using, and we didn't have the code to get in the door. Nor did we know where the pool was. The front desk was closed and no one would answer the emergency number. We froze out butts off. I have two babies and they were very cold. On Christmas day we called hotels.com b/c no one was at the resort to talk to. We were put on hold numerous times for over an hour, we were hung up on 6 times. Finally, when we got the manager, all she would do for us was NOTHING! She kept telling us there was nothing they could do until they spoke to someone at the resort. We then told her we wanted to leave. We asked her to help us find another hotel. She stated that there were no two bedroom places available. When we told her that there were plenty out there, she then said ohhh ok there are some. The only rooms that are available will cost you guys more money. She was not willing to help us out on Christmas day. Our whole Christmas day was spent trying to find somewhere to stay. Keep in mind, we had no internet and had to drive to different places to get prices. We were cold and very upset. We ended up finding our own place. We will never use Hotels.com again. Read more

This is our second time at river oaks. We were in a different unit this time and it was not as comfortable. The master bed was 2 beds pushed together and it was tough to sleep like that!! The area is nice, but the bed was a deal breaker

The so-called "king size" bed was two single beds pushed together. Check in people were rude. No maid services offered. Beds were terrible like sleeping on pancakes wrapped in saran wrap. Awful experience. Amenities listed when booked were not like the actual amenities.

This was a great 2 bedroom condo for the money. With the Hotels.com discount is was well worth it. (especially if you a cheap skate like me) In all honesty, the room was not up to par with a good hotel room. At listed price I would have complained. My biggest complaint is that the beds were terrible. The mattresses and pillows wore probably done about […] 5 years ago. Check In Time was an issue, we even called ahead to ask for the room at 1:00 when we arrived ( so they knew we were there and waiting) . OK, so we could not get the room until after 3:00. That means ANYTIME after 3:00. Then they said 5:00. So we waited. Then they said, well, we (the staff) are staying until 7:00 so we can get everyone their rooms. I complained pretty bitterly, and they got me a room by 5:00. I believe wireless was advertised, there is NO WIRELESS AT ALL!. They specifically told us there was wireless in a conversation on the phone, then when we checked in they denied saying it was. Also, the pots and pans need to be thrown out. The non-stick was peeling badly, and you could nod use them to cook anything with. Great view of the golf course. Quick trip to the beach, although we did not go in peak season. WATCH OUT FOR THE EXTRA CHARGES. While waiting in the office for our room, I did personally witness a large stack of "creative" charges going out. including a broken patio chair ( we did not sit on ours because they look to be 15 - 20 years old and we did not want to pay for one) and not washing the dishes. They seemed to be more interested in accumulating these charges that they did getting our rooms ready. With a little work and better office etiquette, this could be a top notch condo rental. I think the drive to the beach might be a little painful during peak season. The last week of August was OK. The TV’s were old, so if you are used to a big flat screen, forget it. I read reviews about this palce before i rented. i decided to trust my intuition and try it. I was excited about the place. the room was spacious and everything i wished for was in the room. Everything was going great until 2 days before we were checking out, the water heater exploded at 1:30 AM and flooded the unit. I called the emergency line they sent maintenance down with four huge fans e a de-humidifier, they wanted to replace the water heater, remove the carpet and dry the water at 2:00 in the morning. I asked if they could move us […] to another unit but they were booked solid, then I asked if they could send us to a nearby hotel to spend the rest of the night while they fixed everything, they told me I was welcome to do that OUT OF MY OWN POCKET! I sent them away and told them to come back after 8:00, then I got a call from the office saying that because I was REFUSING the repair they would charge my Credit Card if there were to be any damage in the unit downstairs! I just hung up, called my bank to cancel my credit card and went back to sleep. They came back at 8:00 and moved us to another unit (didn't they say they were booked solid?). Making a long story short our last beach day ended up being a "moving and try to relax at the pool later day". Read more

As we were driving down River Oaks Drive, the surrounding communities looked fantastic! Condo was nice to stay in, very comfortable (except couch which was awful). Quick 7-8 min drive to beach, nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown MB. Indoor pool was closed during entire stay which was disappointing. Outdoor pool was nice, but seemed a little on the small side.

I am very pleased with my stay. The pool was nice and clean. The price for a 2 bedroom apartment is a bargain. Some of the united do have free wi-fi ask for it when you make your reservation. I would recommend this resort to anyone who is willing to travel 4 miles to the beach. Otherwise it is a nice, well maintained property.

This was a very nice location. We were right on the golf course as well as within walking distance to the pool. It was a very nice and clean unit which is what I expect after a long trip. As with other reviews, the king size bed consisted of two twins and very thin pillows. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.
