I've seen bathrooms that were bigger than this room! Brunt lamp shades, terrible odor, LOUD, NOT ocean front!! I'm 6'1" 225lbs; the bathroom is so small that I had to back in it..I could not walk in and turn around because it was so small! The refrigerator was utterly fifthly and disgusting. "Never again"
Everything in the room felt damp. Stains on the sheets and towels. Thankfully, I brought my own bedding. Hairs stuck in the towels. The pool was green. The guy running the place was rude to some of the customers. The building was in very poor condition.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cheap stay, what else do you want?"
I'll admit, I was hesitant about staying in such a cheap hotel, but my wife is a penny pincher, so we went for it. Looking back, I'm glad we did. We were on the ground floor, so all we had to do was walk out our door and we were on the beach. Never having to say, "Oh no, we have to walk all the way back to the hotel?!" any time you forgot something […] was the best selling point of all. Granted, you still have to hike up the stairs or ride the slow elevator if you're on the upper floors, but it's better than having to walk across a street or down a block. Speaking of blocks, the hotel is 23 blocks south of the boardwalk. I forget what the GPS said, but I think it was about 2-3 miles. Pretty far to walk, but we brought our bikes and they were perfect. There's a dedicated bike lane for all but the last two blocks so biking felt safe and convenient. Boardway at the Beach is also just over 3 miles away, though I didn't want to bike down the highway to get there. Maybe if I had been in better shape, but parking at Broadway has free parking, so I didn't mind. But back to the hotel. It was small, yes, but it was only the wife and I. The TV didn't work, no, but we were never in the room anyway and just read at night. The best was the mini fridge and microwave, which was convenient because we brought hotdogs to make as snacks when 1) you're not hungry enough to warrant a meal at a sit-down restaurant and 2) you don't want to get gouged for the boardwalk snacks (remember, penny-pinching.) That being said, the hotel served our purposes perfectly; it was a staging room and place to eat. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was nice, too. This wasn't bad for the price. The only bad things I have to say were the room was VERY small ( I had read in an earlier review that someone said you needed to leave the bathroom to turn around ..well they weren't kidding.), the TV was old and crappy and the location of the hot tub was a bit creepy (right off the parking area). ..but overall we were […] very satisfied. "Econolodge myrtle beach- average place to stay"
All in all hotel was average. Continental breakfast was kinda dissapointing, hotel could use some renovation and the parking was tight. Wi -fi only in the lobby, that was not really convient. Only other complaint was that the halls smelled like a fish tank aquarium. Pool was great, altho the hot tub was basicly in the parking garage, kinda sketchy we […] didnt get in. I was a little nervous about staying here after reading the other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by their friendly and attentive staff, the cleanliness of the room and the overall good experience I had. "Very Great for the price!! Right off the Beach!!"
Well I enjoyed the stay. When we first got there our room door wouldn't close all the way. We also didn't get a ocean view, yet this is becoming our luck when we book hotels, Also something to point out, this hotel is very close to other hotel, and watch out for passer-bys walking through the neighboring hotel to the beach, they can be very rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
