The place had a musty damp moldy odor that did not go away....there are supplied linens and soaps etc but they are of the very lowest quality and quite nasty. The location is very good and local amenities are just fine but the place itsel disappoints added to which parking is far from easy.

Loved the area. Simply beautiful and safe. I would definitely stay again. One downer was the personnel. There is no sense of calling the front desk. They simply let the phone ring ring ring and ring. While they are actually in the office. I watched from the parking lot, OH one more thing bring extra soap.

Overall it was a pretty good stay. There were 2 couples my boyfriend and I and our favorite couple. We stayed at the kensington. Great location when you walked outside there were plenty of places to shop including a Victoria's secret across the street, shooz, and other upscale shopping stores. There was also a grocery store (piggly wiggly) in walking […] distance in case you wanted to buy groceries. A play ground for the kids, plenty of restaurants also a movie theater. We arrived late so we had to call the emergency desk where they gave us the lobby code and room code to get in and I had to go check in early the next morning. The only downfall was there were 2 twin size beds in the second room which was probably meant for kids and the second bathroom was around the corner from the bedroom. Being 2 adults they said the twin size beds were uncomfortable but there was a pull out on the couch. We had a king size bed and it was very comfortable to me. Other than that we its a great place to stay if you do not particularly want to stay on the beach and by booking through hotels.com we got it for half price. If you actually go on the market commons website you will pay double. Read more

We loved the location. Located in Market Commons - where there are several delicious restaurants and plenty of shopping. However, our flight arrived in the evening - and it was extremely difficult to check in and find the location as they are time share units and not a hotel which was not indicated on the reservation site. We called several times and […] kept the operator kept telling us that someone would get back to us and they did not. We drove around for approximately an hour trying to figure out the hotel's location. We were about to call another holtel and book a room and we finally saw a security guard walking around and he has a list with our name on it a a code for the door. The room itself is great space especially if you are travelling with kids. But the bathroom had mold in the shower and their wa not enough towels. This is a great place to stay, if you are not in need of beach front. Most of these units are privately owned, and then rented out by a "management" company. They are all nicely located above the shopping area, and you just take an elevator down to the street. The shopping is great, with a number of stores you will not find anywhere else, shopping includes […] a grocery store, and a movie theater-all within an easy walk. This is the kind of place I would not mind living in permantly. The only downside is that you have to find the vacation rentals storefront BEFORE you find the locaton of your unit. I been to myrtle beach before but never stayed here. My boyfriend and I absolutely loved it. Very clean, secure, peaceful and modern. Great location near everything..only 5 min from ocean blvd! The size of them were smaller than you would expect in a room that size. Bring your own soap because the soap they provide was bare minimal. Building was hard to locate & security kept trying to direct us over the phone at 2am in the morning instead of coming out to assist us. Only one negative. If you arrive after 9 PM you will have to call the after hours #. The person I spoke with, was not rude just not very pleasing to speak with. I'm sure it would have something to do with the fact that it was after 9 PM. We had a great time!

I had never before heard of Suites in Market on the Commons and I discovered the location via Expedia after spending a week browsing through all the locations in the Myrtle Beach area. Everything […] was wonderful, the size of our suite, the full kitchen which gave us the option to cook if we did not want to eat out. The proximity of the restaurants the stores and a Piggly Wiggly which were all within walking distance. Our suite was right opposite a movie theater and a Cold Stone Ice Cream and pizza store. We had a washer and dryer in the suite which gave us the chance to do laundry before we went home. I did not mind the fact that there was no maid service as I tend to be a little leary of leaving my valuables for hotel staff to go through. We always stay at Market Common because the hotel is nice and clean. There's a full kitchen and it's close to a grocery store, lots of restaurants and shops. It's about 2 miles to the beach and the beach is not over populated. For our family, it's really perfect.

This was a great affordable alternative to staying on the beach. On the grounds, there was a supermarket, restaurants, movie theater, and shopping. The two bedroom unit was roomy, comfortable, and clean. We were told that the second bedroom had twin beds and it was a queen size bed, but other than that the condo suited our needs.

The room was a great deal, and Market Common is a great alternative to beach front. The room itself was very large and well furnished. My only problem was with the staff and check-in. Their office closes at 9 pm. I knew I would arrive after 9 pm, so call ahead to ask what to do once I arrived. The website said they make arrangements for late arrivals. […] When I call I was told there would be a number on the door of the office, and to call that number to get numeric codes for the lobby and room door. The staff member I spoke with was rather curt about the whole thing, as if I would bothering her by asking. When I arrived I called the number on the door of the office. I was connected to an answering service what should have been able to give me the codes. But they had no record of me at all, nothing. The answering service was actually very helpful and ran down someone to get the needed info. But that took over an hour. On top of that, the room code I was given expired the next morning and I was staying 2 days. So, I am standing there at the door with a blinking red light and all I can think about is getting the shower after the run on the beach I had just finished. But I had to go over to the office and get another code. The room was great, but the staff seems like amateurs. Read more

We enjoyed walking around in the commons and taking in the sights during the early evening. The location very convenient for going to the beach. Our room was not as nice as the prices would indicate. I had a missing outlet cover in the bedroom, a door knob hanging off in the bathroom, a slow drain in the tub, a dirty red sofa and a ragged chair that […] should have been replaced long ago. There was a bag of soiled lenin and/or garbage next to the elevator for 2 days while we were there. After checking out, I stopped by the rental office to make sure I was all clear to leave, I showed the manager some pictures that I had taken of the maintenance issues. Instead of simply apologizing and owning the problem, she gave me a snide remark, "we don't know it is damaged if you don't tell us". Well, I should not have to call and report maintenance short falls to a place that is suppose to be so upscale. Some one should make sure the place is in perfect condition between each rental. I did not stay to argue with her about such utter nonsense, however, I think she needs to learn more about customer service and service recovery. I am USAF veteran and have never been treated like that on an Air Force base before.... Read more

The suites were great overall. I loved the kitchen and view over the community. It even had a washer and dryer. The only thing is towels are not changed on a daily basis, but you can use the washer and dryer to keep them clean. Bring your own detergent and dish washing liquid.

I really like the location and the hotel itself. I was a little disappointed in the fact that we stayed their 2 years ago and the contract was with someone different. It seemed the prior contract included access to the Myrtle beach state park in the price (which we loved) and the new one no longer provides this. Loved it!!! I could do without the door codes though. It's a little pricey but worth it. Perfect location & my teenaged kids didn't want to leave. Everything was right at your doorstep but it was still peaceful rest at night. We will stay again!
