    I'm from the area- but booked a room at the Marina Inn for a romantic New Year's Eve getaway. The room was fantastic - I found a good deal for one of... the Mediterranean Club Suites. The room was huge - had a full kitchen, roomy bathroom with a tub and separate shower, and a living room with a fire place as well as an outside sitting area. The kitchen came with all cooking utensils so was very convenient. The hotel gets only a 4 for quality of service because we arrived about an hour after check in is advertised to begin and had to wait an additional 30 minutes to get into our room. However, we couldn't get the fireplace to work and someone came to fix it immediately. As for convenience of location - it was perfect for us because we didn't want to go anywhere, but if you are visiting Myrtle Beach you can't really walk to anything and it's a 5 minute drive to the beach and about 10 minutes to other popular tourist destinations.     Beautiful place to stay with great view of the marina and the lake. Close to a lot of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our walk on the nearby trail and the peacefulness of the off-season. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are planning to return this spring.

    ONLY Complaint Hotel Dinner Experience was less then desired, Good Cocktails, Tasty Apps, Entrees were tasteless, showy and overly salted yet bland lacked flavor both entrees were Fish. Savior is Ruths Chris Steakhouse is right next to hotel on same property. Other then that it is one of the best hotels Myrtle Beach has to offer.

    Overall very nice hotel! Staff very friendly. Shuttle bus ride to the beach was our absolute favorite part! The only thing I didn't like was the bed. For me it was very uncomfortable, but my boyfriend didn't mind it at all. We would ddefinetly stay there again.

    It was our 29th Wedding Anniversary. We had a wonderful time and the price was very reasonable. We will probably make this a once a year trip (not necessarily anniversary) but to just get away. We really enjoy ourselves and would recommend it to our family and friends.

    Read all other reviews and I agree with hotel check in staff being less than friendly. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite when they did not have a room with a kingsize bed. Had a late supper in the bar. Food was very good and bartender was quite nice.

It afforded me with peaceful surroundings, but conveniently located to easily get to the hustle and bustle of the beach community whenever I wanted.     Very nice hotel. Accommodations were amazing. Flying in from Dallas, we were totally comfortable as soon as we arrived. Out room was available early which was really appreciated. the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was average at best. Stay here as you will not be disappointed.
