Marina Inn At Grande Dunes

Overall it was great. Nice bedding and room was great with kitchen, fireplace, view of intercoastal, etc. My only complaint was the pool was not warm although they said the outdoor pool was heated.

Loved this hotel. Great great service and the nicest people. Have nothing to complain about honestly. Room was really nice (bath tub a little small but at least there was one). Nice bedding, small screen tv, decent room service, easy parking and location was pretty central although nothing in walking distance.

Love the hotel, very spacious. The rooms were huge, shower in king room was awesome . The staff wereveryhelpful. The only problem we had was the Internet connection. This is a great place to stay anytime of the year but due to costs, easier on the budget to stay in the off-season since the weather in SC is great all year round. Staff, facilities, and comfort of our suite were perfect and we never felt rushed or disturbed... We will be back!

My boyfriend and I went early September. We stayed for a week . Great because kids are in school . Very peaceful and relaxing. The room was not as clean as I expected. Under bed was dirty , cobwebs in bathroom. The tv sucked, old and fuzzy. The 3 on premise restaurants were a plus. We rarely left the hotel. A mistake was made with the reservation and it was fixed, the resort was nice needed new carpets in the hall ways rooms were nice and also very clean and the staff was great. lots of activities for kids close to stores and the private beach was great we would stay here again.

Very well maintained property. The two bedroom Caribbean Villa room was nice, spacious and comfortable. The only complaint I have pertains to the outdated TV's with just fair picture quality and the 1990's looking cordless phone. The restaurant food was adequate the one time we ate in it. We weren't blown away, however, our waiter was exceptional as was the poolside service, too. My mother and I were staying at the Marina Inn for her birthday. Our only complaint was that there were some rather noisy folks in the adjoining room. Our neighbors decided to continue their party (no doubt, after a night of clubbing) at 2:00 a.m. We called the front desk three times (they did send security to investigate) and were moved to another […] room so that we could get some sleep. We were told that we could leave our things in our original room if we chose to. After the exchange of keys, etc., we were finally able to get back to sleep (in our new room) after 4:00 a.m. We moved back to our original room the next morning, had a good breakfast and a nice time at the beach. Hotel was nice however a few minor negatives for attention to detail. There were no drawers to put your clothes in so we had to leave them in the suitcase. You had to be 6:4 or more to reach the chain on the ceiling fan. Had to crawl underneath the desk to find an outlet to plug my in my cell phone. The two bedroom suite was updated and decorated very nicely. It was clean and the bathrooms were quite large. I liked how they offered a bag for recycling. I was here for my wedding. I had a wonderful time at this hotel. It was very clean, the room was better than expected and the view was wonderful!! We stayed on the fifth floor and faced a beautiful courtyard and bridge. We only have a few little issues. We had a day where the room was cleaned and we were not given fresh towels. We had requested a room […] with a king bed and got two doubles. The staff checking me in didn't tell me about all the amenties offered at the hotel. It wasn't until the last day we when asked about parking that we were told about the valet and the additional amenities we missed out on. I was there for my wedding so that really didn't bother me too much. The staff at the bar in the lobby were fantastic as were the gentelman that helped us load and unload our vehicles! Wonderful! Wonderful hotel we were treated very well by the staff and velet service. The room was well prepaired, of high quality and quiet. They should update the old TV to HDTV to match the room quality. This is the best place to go to be not far from the coast but not around the hustle of the strip on Kings Hwy and Ocean.

My only complaint is that the matterress was not the most comfortable. Otherwise the hotel was clean. The staf were great. Room Service was great. The beach shuttle and private beach access make life very easy. I would go back again.

Read all other reviews and I agree with hotel check in staff being less than friendly. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite when they did not have a room with a kingsize bed. Had a late supper in the bar. Food was very good and bartender was quite nice.

Marina Inn is lovely. It is both good-sized and intimate. It is very family-friendly. The pools are wonderful for kids. And Waterscapes restaurant was good for a two-year old with gourmet options for Mom and Dad -- the service was a little slow, but overall a great dinner. Our room was large with a huge bathroom. It was nicely furnished, but there were […] a few maintenance flaws that kept it from being perfect -- carpeting pulling away where it meets tiles, paint blemishes, scratched furniture. The personnel were friendly and service was exceptional at the pool bar. The only real hiccup was that it took three requests to get the pack-and-play for our little one to sleep in and it finally showed up just in time for bedtime. The overall experience was more than worth the price, and I would choose the Marina Inn again if I was headed to Myrtle Beach. Read more

Very nice hotel. Accommodations were amazing. Flying in from Dallas, we were totally comfortable as soon as we arrived. Out room was available early which was really appreciated. the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was average at best. Stay here as you will not be disappointed.

We were in town for a family event so were not able to spend as much time at the resort as we would have liked. Great location as north end of Myrtle Beach is certainly more towards our tastes. Shuttle across to beach was fine although there was no information in the room about this; had to ask at the front desk. You just kind of find your way through […] the maze of walkways and figure out where to get towels but once there, it was nice. Restaurants were nice, bar was plain and just ok...rather dated. Pools and workout room was great. Gift shop is very small and no one on site; you have to go to the front desk which is really not a front desk, just two writing size tables. A bit awkward. Grounds were pretty but walking around later in the evening was very messy. Lots of used towels and cups, etc. Were everywhere. No one seems to pick this up. Our room was very nice with a good view of the inter coastal waterway. Large bathroom with very comfy bed. Door on hutch for TV was half broken and no maid service came the second day so we had to call down for clean towels. They were very apologetic but offered nothing else in return for this lapse in service at a seemingly much nicer hotel. We would recommend but likely will not stay here again. We appreciate a nice hotel and would expect all to run much more smoothly and look more professionally kept. We had previously stayed at the Marriott at Ocean Watch and will go back there on our next visit in 3 weeks. Read more

The room was nice although it lacked sufficient drawer space (we had to live out of our suitcases). Simple things like towel hooks seemed to have been overlooked. Pool area was small but seemed to be sufficient. Ahi tuna salad was a highlight there. Waterscapes restaurant was good. Dinner entrees are overpriced and the kids eat free is no big deal as the kids meals are inexpensive and very basic (mac & cheese, chicken fingers, etc.) I'd recommend exploring the area as there are quite a few less expensive but high quality places to eat. One place to avoid is the Anchor Cafe as the lunch there was the worst we had on our trip. The shuttle to the beach seems a hassle at first but you get used to it and it's not a problem.
