The resort is centrally located for all activies in Myrtle Beach. We stayed here because of the fishing pier and free minature golf is a plus too. We loved seeing the planes land at the airport right over our balconey. Having two places to eat is a plus too. Would recommend to any family looking for a place to stay with kids. Check in was quick and easy. Upgraded to a one bedroom. Room is newly renovated and clean! Looking forward to a summer visit to enjoy pier and beach. Weather did not cooperate.

The only problem I had It was a very cold night the heater ran all night and the room didn't warm to my needs, 62 yr old man. In the am when I wished for a cup of coffee, decaf was all they had!!! Springmaid Resort was undergoing rennivation of buildings and pool area. Did not interfere with our stay. Our room was buitiful and any question or problem was taken care of immediately and with a friendly attitude. Great place to stay, we haven't been there in 35 years, but we will return with our family.

If you want to be close but not in the middle of the crowd this is the hotel for you. It is very family friendly and just far enough away from the crowds to feel like you are at your own private resort, but close enough to enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer. The only down side was that the restaurant was not open except for breakfast. The Barnacles food was typical of a small bar, but still OK in a pinch. The breakfast buffet was well worth the money. The omelets were made to order while you waited and were well worth the price of the buffet itself. I would strongly recommend the Springmaid to families or couples. There are great restaurants close by and each room has a full size refrigerator and microwave. There are grocery stores within a few miles. Due to serious health issues we could not travel for four years. After researching hotels on the internet, the Springmaid seemed to be the best offer. We were not disappointed! From the check-in up to the check-out the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and all other items were well taken care of. The light weight down blankets were warm and comfortable to sleep under. A great view of the ocean, and the view of the rising sun was wonderful. A tremendous place to stay.

We had a great stay- 4 days and 5 nights. Our room was beach front with a lovely view of the ocean and pier. The room was very clean and attractively furnished, the staff were helpful with a wi-Fi problem and very polite at check in and out. We look forward to our next stay there.

everything was great until we wanted to extend our stay one more night. was quoted a price twice what we paid for the first night. was told they were sold out on a wed. night. hard to believe when our first night only a quarter of the place was sold out. guess our business wasnt as important as an empty room. wont go back.

We loved the SpringMaid! Right on the beach, ocean views from every room, pools, lazy rivers, and restaurants on site! It was a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. The hotel was also close to local attractions, but not in the heart of downtown. I would definitely recommend SpringMaid! We plan to go back again.

we got there around 2pm and they not only let us check in but also upgraded us to a king size bed. The room was very clean and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. The only problem we had was that housekeeping came to clean and when we got back they had left our door open. Nothing was missing but it left an uneasy feeling. I called the front desk […] and they appologized and reported it, but the next day housekeeping didn't come at all. We stayed in the Palmetto Tower from Monday to Friday. Room was great with a wonderful ocean view. Clean facilities. Full size refrigerator with ice maker was a plus. Hotel staff was extremely courteous. We ate breakfast at Marlin's Restaurant onsite, and the omelet bar was fabulous. We didn't try out Barnacles or get to check out the pier because of […] the daily rain. My only complaints are small - the Lazy River was closed the entire time (even when it wasn't raining); and our balcony didn't have a table like all the other balconies. Kind of hard to enjoy coffee or a drink with a book when you don't have a table to rest your beverage. We asked the front office for a small table for 2 days with no response. Finally my husband stopped a housekeeper in the hall and she pulled a table for us from a vacant room balcony. We were close to many great eating spots, a bowling alley and movie theater. I would go back in a heartbeat, AND will recommend to my traveling friends and family. Read more

I stayed just down the beach a few years ago and had a dreadful experience. I was worried I might have a similar experience here since the hotels in this area are older. This was not the case. Springmaid was excellent. Rooms were very nice and well renovated. Loved the pier. The staff were all very nice and helpful. I will be returning next summer.

Really enjoyed the stay all the staff we interacted with were very friendly the room was always spotless really enjoyed the bar being so close (around back) no need to argue about a designated driver only complaint was the bottom of the balcony door was broken and it was hard to keep the room cool without the noisy a.c. unit running almost non-stop

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was close to the airport, I thought the airplanes would be too loud but I didn't notice it in the room. Room was clean and service was good. The best thing about this hotel was the distance between it and the rest of the strip. It was very private, not too crowded.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the resort will stay again. We came early and stayed a few extra days and they made the arrangements very easy I was more than pleased. The resort had sercurity day and night and we were very comfortable. The private beach was relaxing as was the pools everyone was very friendly. The thing I thought most of was everyone had manners and it showed. Me and my family of 3 stayed here for 6 nights. Was pleased with everything the hotel had to offer. Both the restaurants were great. We loved walking out on the peir at night. Also enjoyed walking out on the beach at nights. I would definitely go back to stay there if I ever visit Mytrle Beach again.
