We enjoyed out stay at Hotel Blue. Biggest complaint was the elevators were very slow. Room was clean and spacious with lots of extas. Stayed this time just the two of us, but will probly come back with the kids next time. Pool was nice and warm for October. Location was an easy walk to resturants, minimarts, and attractions.

I just spent a week at Hotel Blue and I would absolutely visit them again. For the price our room was wonderful, full ocean view decent pool and hot tub, pleasant staff and a parking garage. The only downside is that the hotel is somewhat far from any of the attractions so if you're ok with driving from place to place it is an excellent choice.

Visually, the room looked excellent. even took pics of it to send to friends. Great view of the ocean from the ocean front, 8th floor studio. Very big kitchen with everything needed for family of four. Huge refrigerator; appliances seemed really new. Hotel has attached 8 story parking garage. Only thing that failed in my opinion was the shower. Water […] was easy to regulate but 30 seconds after shower started, it changed to ice cold and a minute later went to scalding hot and I had to jump into it when it warm and regulated and back out when it went to the extremes. The oceanfront studio apt was nice and clean. The beds were a bit uncomfortable and there should a be a couch in the room. The shower was very spotty with water pressure and hot and cold temps. The pool bar is awesome! I loved how close hotel was to the places I like to visit. I will stay here again.

We walked in our room and was amazed at how big it actually was. The room had a small odor, but upon talking with maintenance/housekeeping, they came to the rescue and sprayed for us and the staff was so helpful with all of our needs. We will definately be returning to Hotel Blue!!

We went during Labor Day weekend and the entire following week and 1/2. We had a wonderful time. The hotel was very nice and our room, which was oceanfront was just what we wanted. We were put on the third floor but it was too noisy with the pool right there and so we asked to be moved to a higher level and the hotel was very accomadating to put us […] up on the 8th floor with NO hassle at all. We don't have any small children and wanted some peace and quite along with privacy. We didn't use house cleaning everyday, but when we did, which was every other day, the maids were very efficient. All the staff was very nice and pleasant. They made us feel like we were actually on vacation. The only complaint we have is, the swim-up bar was closed for a couple of days after the Labor Day weekend. That was one of the draws for us and it was closed! It was about Wednesday, when a couple swam under the chains and sat at the bar waiting to get served and the bartender would not serve them until the manager came out and gave his ok. That really upset me, so I asked the manager why it wasn't open and he said because they didn't have a lifeguard available and it was a state law. Well the lifeguard was sitting right there and didn't bother opening the bar up. I had seen him sitting there the previous days when the bar remained closed. According to the manager, IT IS the lifeguards job to open the bar. Obviously, someone drop the ball! After I mentioned it to the manager, the bar was open for the rest of our vacation. Shame though, because they could have made allot of money during those few days it was closed. I guess it was because it was the end of the season. But at the same time, people were arriving as we left on September 13th. It was one of the busier hotels on the strip for that time of the year. The only thing about booking this hotel is read the fine print only one car per room so u are joining someone u have to park down the street ,My husband was already at the beach and was gonna join us for a vacation with the grand kids but when he was told he had to park down the street he went back home he had alot of expensive golf equipment with him […] and wasnt going to park his vehicle somewhere else . I've stayed many places in Myrtle Beach and checked on many different hotels and resorts. Hotel Blue does havedownsides (slow elevators, very chaotic, unorganized check in process, very small kitchens, tight parking garage and very late housekeeping service). However, the conveience and location are good and the kids really enjoy the pool. The staff […] is friendly and the overall cleanliness of the room is good. I found the kitchen to be less than clean but you're at the beach to relax not cook so really not a huge issue. I've stayed here many times and probably will again. This was a nice middle of the road resort. The location was nice and right on the strip. However the time we went was senior week and this was not very pleasurable for me and my girlfriend. Also what they consider a ocean view and what I would think of a ocean view are not the same. The hotel is on the beach but they consider the rooms on the sides […] of the building to be ocean views as well so be aware of that. Also the beds are very hard so if you like a real soft bed I would recommend you bring your own cushions. Other than that the staff was friendly and the location was good. The hotel was great. They gave us a upgrade when we checked in, which was great for us because we brought an extra person with us. The kitchen came with all that we needed if we wanted to cook. It was very spacious and a great location to the beach and the strip.
