"close to the beach"
I wasn't very happy at all with the room. As soon as we walked in the room smelled bad and the beds were very uncomfortable and the was mold in one corner of the bathroom. "very old and in need of updating"
The gentleman that checked us was terrific. Then it was downhill from there. This place is old and outdated. Needs a good cleaning too. Floors were filthy. Plenty of nice fluffy towels. I certainly would not stay there again nor will i recommend it to freinds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I initially chose this Hotel because of the price, amenities and promise of oceanfront, I had a sliver of an Oceanview, more noise from passing traffic the Heater in my room was broken and Maintenance never came to fix the problem. Trying to get help from the staff was a joke; Once we got unpacked we were having problems finding our parking pass, we […] asked if we could get a reprint, we were told to park on the street when the Marathon was the next day. The elevator continually took me to the wrong floor even though i was the only person on the elevator it took me to different floors and announced it was my floor. in the office there were regularly three or four sets of people complaining about their rooms being given away or being told they had no rooms, or something being wrong. Cooler/AC in main room leaked all over the floor during night and our things were wet and sticky, floors were sticky, shoes, had to use towels to stop it from spreading...Out of 2 closest elevators to our room on 15th floor 1 was not working mor 2 our of 3 days..everytime we had to go down we would stop on every other floor to pick up or drop off people...it […] would have been faster to take stairs..hallways are dirty. 4 pillows in closet had old pillow cases, 2 of them had black prints (make up) on the bed cover when i pulled it off there were dry booger smeared...sooooo gross....good thing i brought my own blanket and pillows...Ocean front view - which is what i booked- ended up being a room facing the hotel across and you can only see a sliver of the ocean between buildings...i had a rought last few months and did not go to complain, but why is it that everytime "ocean front" room is reserved you (me) have to go back and demand the actual ocean front room, why cant people just put you into a room that you reserved???? "Disappointed this time"
I have stayed here several times, but this time was disappointing. The screws in the bed were loose, so every time I moved, the bed banged against the wall. The bathroom sink made a loud screeching noise when turning on the water, and the bathtub kept running. The roorn the hotel placed us was too high (15th floor), ice machine not working, shower did not drain and hot water took to long to when taking a shower (longer then20min) The hotel needs an upgrade. Location is great - convenient walking distance to various attractions and great pool area/swim up bar...*great Tiki/Karoke bar at motel beside (right side) okay that was the good ....the first disappointment was that you are only allowed 1 parking space, more than that you have to pay to park at meter...Secondly, extremely disappointed in the condition […] of hotel - needs ALOT of cleaning & updating done...Room: we had the Oceanfront Studio Apartment...which consisted of full kitchen, bathroom, two DOUBLE (not QUEEN) beds and it was completely apparent they had downsized the mattresses as the foundation was much larger than the DOUBLE size mattress and I'm not a tall person 5'1" and when sleeping on these very uncomfortable mattresses I ended up w/my feet hanging off the end of mattress. I did see daily cleaning of pools, so that was a definite plus. I will say all the employees I dealt with were very nice and helpful. As far as recommending to others ?? depending on what they're looking for.. I would most likely in the future consider staying at a motel in the area, (loved the location) and I may would consider staying here again, but would definitely consider others first...SORRY, but I was not impressed with the hotel itself...the amenities at sister hotel down the road did help, bowling alley was nice.... This was a terrible stay. The furniture and appliances are well outdated as well as damaged. Electrical outlets had NO covers. The sheets were stained. The shower was broken and there were NO linens to even take a shower with (if the shower worked)! When we complained, the management would only give us a coupon for 2 free breakfasts!!! "Desperate need of renovation"
This hotel looked decent from the outside. When I got to the room, the size was small for 2 full size beds. There was barely enough room to walk around. The restroom sink. toilet and shower were antiquated and in desperate need of renovations as the entire room was is need of as well. The bed was not comfortable at all! Did not like this hotel. I travel a lot for work and would never stay here again. Very loud. I think I woke up every night to doors slaming, people running and yelling. Hubby and I went on a one night get away to work on our marriage. Decided to stay at Hotel Blue based on website photos and price. The location was nice, the view was nice from the room, the lobby was nice, and the staff was friendly. "Hotel Blue Myrtle Beach-Is it worth it?"
After making reservations through hotels.com and paying for the room, the girl at the check in counter charged my card again. She immediately refunded the charge, but transactions made on a weekend are not processed until Monday. This caused the bank to put a hold on my available credit until monday. After getting to the room, the key cards did not […] work. Make a trip to the front desk to get new keys. When we get into the room we discover that the toilet seat is broken, the toilet paper holder is broken, the hot water knob in the shower comes off in your hand, and the handle on the bathroom sink feels like it could come off at any moment. We immediately left the room to go out for the evening. When we returned at midnight, the TV had no reception. After discovering the end had been ripped off the cable that plugs into the TV and making another trip to the front desk, maintainence is sent to the room. He did get the TV fixed and offered to fix the other problems, but, it was midnight. The front desk said they did not have another room that we could move to, but I could talk to a manager in the morning. After spending about 45 min. in a managers office and giving him a list of complaints, he offered to move us to another room that had been vacated that morning. Only problem is housekeeping hasn't cleaned it yet. Later that day he calls to tell me the other room is ready and I can come to the front desk to get keys to the new room. The front desk clerk tries to charge me $640 because she doesn't bother to ask my name and assumes I am someone else who is trying to upgrade rooms. After this is handled we did get to stay in a nice room, but we were only in town for two days. I felt like I spent money to go out of town and deal with a bunch of problems and haul my luggage around instead of spending my time with my wife for our first anniversary.
