This hotel was decent. Our oceanfront room was on the smaller side with some needed repairs and updating, old tv, hole in the carpet, crack in the bathroom vanity. This hotel was a nice place. We did not have them come in and clean our room as we were only there for 2 days. The indoor pool was nice but they need better ventalation. The room was nicely decotated and clean. The balcony had a crumpling on the edges and being 14 floors up it can be quite scary.

My 9 yr old son and I did a quick Spring Break getaway stayed at the Sands Ocean Club. The hotel is older but our room was remodeled with granite tops on everything including the dressers. Our room looked as if it was just remodeled and had a great view of the ocean. It was also located right off the elevator. Very clean and we had no problem with the room keys working. That's a plus! WE FOUND OUR STAY TO BE VERY PLEASANT. MY 10 YEAR GRAND=DAUGHTER MADE EVERY MINUTE COUNT AND SMILED THE WHOLE WEEK-END. AS FOR THE GRAND-FATHER, I ALSO WAS ABLE TO RELAX AT OCEAN ANNIES DURING THE DAY, AND ENJOYED THE LOUNGE ENTERTAINMENT AT NIGHT. I PLAN TO RETURN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sands Ocean Culb Resort. It is located close to Restaurants & Shopping. The hotel is older but the rooms are very well maintained. We were treated very well and the staff members were extremely nice and very polite. The prices of the rooms were reasonable and affordable and the fact that the hotel is right on the beach, […] made it that much more enjoyable. It has the 2 pools (1 inside & 1 outside). This is a great location that has been terribly neglected. Great beach views, nice bar on the beach. Room was NASTY. Stains on the carpet, furniture falling apart. The positives were the A/C worked well and the sheets were clean.

I will never stay there again. I have used Hotels .com to make many reservations. I was let down this time. The Hotels.com agent recommended this place. The room was dirty. The bathroom sinks were clogged up. The floors were dirty. The halways were trashy.

Room was clean but many of the appliances and furniture pieces were very well used and not pretty to look at. Hotel staff is always helpful and friendly. This was our third visit. Love having a live band daily. Kids loved playing in inlet from ocean that forms pond close by.

The only problem I had with this hotel was the elevator in the parking garage quit working on several occasions during our stay. Very inconvenient when you are parked on the top and have 3 kids and a stroller to get down. Other than that our stay was great.

We went with another family. Our room was in a seperate tower from theirs. Our room was outdated and needed repairs. The shower in the bathroom had mold along the ceiling and the ceiling was falling in. Their room was beautiful! They did not book through Hotels.com. I do have to admit that we did have a beautiful view.

The Resort had everything we wanted in our stay. No need to leave the resort at all if you didn't want to. But was conveniently located to shopping, dining, area attractions and all that the area had to offer. Amenities were more than we expected and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Our floor 10th smelled like a sewer it was horrible. Loved the location of our room (ocean view) but the room was not that clean. Could not open the fridge unless you pulled it out from the closet, then you could not close it. No plastic cups in the room. Lobby bathrooms were dirty always wet and out of toilet tissue, someone should be checking them. I have stayed there 2 years in a row and I'm not impressed with the interior (lobby and rooms) it really needs updating. We stayed at the breakers the year before and it was very clean and beautiful. I am not sure we would stay at the sands again. The floor in our room was so filthy ny feet were black after I got out of the shower, I cleaned the floor myself. I booked an efficiency (non-view) room at Sands Ocean Club for a Sunday-Wednesday to save money and got an unbeatable rate. I was a little nervous of what we'd get at that value but figured if I was saving money, we'd give it a shot. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised!! Our room was at the front of the building but had almost a full ocean view! The room […] had recently been remodeled and the kitchenette had a full refrigerator, microwave oven, stove top, coffee maker, and all the pots, pans, and plates we needed. It was WAY more than I expected. The room had tile floors (which made it feel much cooler and cleaner) and nice wood accents & furniture. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful. When we lost our wake boards, housekeeping helped us track them down. The beach area was lovely and very convenient to the pools and restaurants on-site - we never wanted to leave the resort. We loved Ocean Annie's live music every night, even on the week nights. There are so many hotels and resorts to choose from at Myrtle Beach and many are much newer and swankier than Sands Ocean Club. If you're looking for something glamorous - it's not here. If you're looking for a very comfortable, convenient place to stay, then Sand Ocean Club is a fantastic option.
