Our first trip to Myrtle Beach so we had high hopes. The room looked nothing like the picture online. The weather was bad, so we spent more time in the room than expected. The cable picture was horrible on almost all channels, so we got movies. We bought food, but the stove didn't work. We will be back to Myrtle Beach but not Compass Cove.D

Overall a nice place. Lots of water stuff for the kids to do. Loved the free movie card and the ability to get movies to watch anytime. Great location to be able to get to anything you want to do quickly and without tons of traffic.

Sean at the front desk was amazing... although the shower current was a little icky and there were bobby pins on our floor that did not belong to me which means the floor was not vacuumed very well. Other then that we had a great time

They put us in a 2nd floor room right above the pool so there wasn't much privacy when we had the curtains open. Bathroom is small but good counter space. All in all not too bad for the money.

Upon arrival the parking garage was blocked by construction going on.That night we heard machinery running back up alarms till 9:30 pm.The room was nice. Upon check in we were not informed of all the construction that was taking place. The bathroom sink had a leak in the plumbing. The exhaust fan for the oven/range did not work. The smoke alarm went off 2 different times for no reason. The t.v. kept freezing along with the picture cutting in and out. First set of keys quit working the last night we stayed, […] had to wait for staff to bring extra set of keys. Overall, the room was very spacious and well decorated. All amenities were up to par. Stayed here many times, always a small glitch to prevents 5.0 stay. This time no wifi for first 26 hours, Bed was not made after first day, we were out of the room by10:30, returned at 5:00. Called desk, reported bed not made, went out to dinner, bed was made when we got back. Hot tub was HOT, HOT, HOT and not in a good way.

This place was awesome!! There are 3 separate towers to this resort. It is bigger than you think! From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, EVERYBODY we encountered here were friendly and very accommodating. We knew the minute we walked in to check-in that the staff was one of the friendliest we have ever encountered on our stays at […] Myrtle Beach. We were most impressed with the staff as they went out of their way to take care of us! The room was clean and nice too! Nice flat screen TV and we had an ocean front room with a nice balcony. What a view of the sun coming up, on the water. The three different spa's the night before where great. We found time for a show which was a wonderful Christmas event at Pirates Voyage, and the shopping was very good. The people at the hotel were very helpful. The room was very nice and clean. Parking was no problem. We will gladly stay again.

Hotel was at a great location and room, although dated, was comfortable and clean. However there is no relaxation for couples in the pools or hot tubs. This hotel is way to kid friendly for what we were looking for. The pools were only okay and of the 3 we tried the chlorine content was way to high and not very clean. We spent one night here for our anniversary. We arrived at the end of one of the bike weeks and were seriously concerned about the crowds and noise. Fortunately, we hardly noticed (at the hotel, at least) the bikers who were staying an extra night. The pools seemed clean. The charcoal grills would be ideal for a family spending several days here. Could have just been one of those days when everyone was trying to come in at once but then again thats not a problem if your room was ready on time. There were a few things that I did not like about my stay. First off, during check-in we were not acknowledged at all for about 3 minutes. None of the desk attendants even looked up to say "I'll be right with you" until my boyfriend decided to say something. For the price and room on the beach, kind of hard to beat this. We didn't use the pool or restuarant so can't comment on them. Only contact with staff was at check in and check out. I will say they had plenty of staff on had so the lines moved quickly.
