Situated on the beach, Camelot By The Sea by Oceana Resorts is a quarter mile (0.4 kilometers) from the Children's Museum of South Carolina. The Myrtle Beach Convention Center is half a mile (one kilometer) from the hotel.

This waterfront property features a a public beach with direct-access from the property and two pools. The outdoor area has a 90-foot (27-meter) free-form pool, a children's pool, a spa tub, and a sundeck. The glass-front covered area is equipped with a 70-foot (21-meter) free-form pool, a children's pool, and a 200-foot (61-meter) lazy river. Other on-site recreational amenities include a fitness center. The hotel gift shop also features boogie boards for outdoor entertainment. There is a business center available for guest use, and wireless Internet is accessible throughout the property. A 10-story parking garage is located on site with free parking for guests. Hotel was your typical Myrtle Beach Oceanfront accomodations. I must say that Camelot rooms were slightly better than other comparable ocean front hotels. The beds looked better because they did not have the old outdated floral quilt on them. Still had same typical stale couch by the balcony. One small thing to keep in mind was that i had a room on the 10th floor -- that is same floor as top level parking garage --- OH MY Sweet Jesus, when the wind picks up the parking garage cries out loud howling noises. Great condo, good facilities indoor for winter activities. Consistently ran out of hot water every day, called and were told to run it for a while. We did that and still had trouble. Camelot by the Sea was nice for what we needed, a weekend getaway. A really nice feature of the hotel is the attached parking garage (unlike other MB hotels) making it possible to park on the floor of your room. Our visit was during off season, so I imagine that parking would be difficult here during peak season. (There are 15 floors of rooms, but only […] 10 floors of parking) Our room included a kitchen with a frig, microwave and cookware making it possible to eat in (although why would you with all the surrounding restaurants). The private oceanfront balcony was my favorite and the lazy river, pool and hot tub are also a plus. "Never again...."
Location of hotel was awesome. Room was pretty nice when we first walked in. Later on that night we laid down to go to bed. My husband laid down first and i moved the covers there was a brown spot under my side of the sheet. Lifted the sheet up and there blood stains on the mattress cover. Went to talk to management. They had cleaning guy come with […] new sheets. As he was removing the mattress pad cover there were huge pee stains all over the mattress. We check our second bed and it was also like this. Told management i didn't pay to be sleeping in someone's pee. They moved us to another room which was way cleaner but the bed was very uncomfortable and squeaked everytime you moved. As we were leaving the next day we saw a couple going into our old room. Just wondering if they actually switched the mattresses. Dont plan on ever going back to this hotel. "Nice hotel that needs alot of cleaning."
Pros - Our room was a 2 bedroom condo. We had a flat screen tv in both of the bedrooms and the living room. This was a good size condo for a family, The beach was wonderful and the staff was great. The bathrooms were in very good shape. This condo did have a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Cons - The carpet, which appeared to be clean, was so dirty […] that the soles of your feet were black after walking across it. The living rm. chairs and couch need to be replaced. They were dirty and ripped. One of the dining room chairs had a cushion that was being held on by one screw. The kitchen utensils were limited. We had one teaspoon and several smaller spoons that you would normally feed a baby with. The blankets in our room need to be replaced. They had holes in them. The refrigerator as well as other areas in the condo had rust on it. We had a chair on our balcony that was broken. Major items were okay but minor things were frustrating. Only one towel rack in room and they piled about 8 towels on it. When I went to pull a towel off for use, the whole rack fell down. My expectations were high from reviewing photos on internet. This hotel looked upscale. The rooms were nice but not as upscale as the pictures portended. A little better than average. Rust on the refrigerator door and stove took away from the overall appearance. The pull out couch was worn and too low for comfortable seating and for some reason the […] shower did not work. "Find a different hotel"
The resort was filthy and smelled. One of the elevators was broken all week and it made it quiet inconvenient when having to wait every time we came and went. In addition, the hot tubs were broken half the week which was upsetting to us and the other guests. Not worth the prices they were charging.
