"Newer again"
I had one bedroom condo and it was disaster. First room was so dirty that I had to request another room. Even second room was disaster ( old filty furniture and bathroom ) Third room was somehow acceptable but housekeeping was terrible. They show up first time after third day of my stay and did not do almost anything. It was really bar experience and […] I will not stay ever again there. Price is extremely high for condition of the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Find a different hotel"
The resort was filthy and smelled. One of the elevators was broken all week and it made it quiet inconvenient when having to wait every time we came and went. In addition, the hot tubs were broken half the week which was upsetting to us and the other guests. Not worth the prices they were charging. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Huge disappointment. Worn out mess. Nothing worked"
If you want to sleep on a horribly uncomfortable, worn-out mattress, in a room with constantly breaking air conditioning, and a place where Wi-Fi won't actually reach most of the rooms, this is the place for you. This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. The room looked like it had been trashed by drunken frat boys about a thousand times, […] the air conditioner didn't work, and the Wi-Fi didn't either. After multiple complaints, I insisted on a different room, which I was reluctantly given. That room was only slightly less worn, and the internet still didn't work. Occasionally if you sat on one particular couch cushion, you could detect one of their wireless routers, but you'd be lucky to load a single page before the signal vanished. So you can forget about trying to do some work, look up a restaurant, or find out about any local activities. The pool water was so nasty that you couldn't actually see the bottom of the 3ft pool! The parking garage is ridiculously tight, even if you don't have a huge vehicle. All the rooms open up to the outside (not indoor hallways), most of which actually open up 10ft from the noisy parking garage. If you like squeaking tires and car alarms all night long, this is definitely the right hotel for you. There is nothing redeeming about this property, and I wouldn't stay there again on a dare. I felt trapped, ripped-off, and it was a struggle to not let this horrible hotel ruin what was otherwise a pleasant trip. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"dissapointed"
place looks' nothing as shown through internet. place very shaby. my room smelled of old sweat. the carpeting were old and dirty. the hotel needs' to be renovated. it has this stop pit feel to it. i was so dissapointed we paid top dollar and it felt old and dirty. one time i came back prior to the cleaning lady finishing, so my husband and i waited […] in the balcony. one of the last things she cleaned was a small plastic table out in the balcony and she said she wa leaving, guess what she locked the door to the balcony and so there we were on the 14th floor. lucky we had our cell phone and were able to call the lobby. no one opologies-no big deal. but what if we didn't have the cell with us???? if you like the 1980's look-unkempt, then go there. oh before i forget, the beach was good but the chairs and umbrellas on the beach were renting for 30.00 dollars a day and most of them were broken. a big big problem because things are protrayed differently and when you get there it oh well-too late. i hope this helps' somebody Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Camelot By The Sea-stay somewhere else"
If you must stay here, do not accept a room near the elevators or carry earplugs for the noise. Be sure to drive the smallest vehicle you own for navigating the parking deck. Don't expect the service desk to assist you with extra blankets, if they answer they will tell you the blankets are in the dryer we will try later(at 10 pm, really?). By the way […] for clarification, "all the Movie channels" means one and that's after you program the tv yourself. However the maintence guys did a great job keeping the elevator running between its breakdowns and cleaning the graffiti from inside the elevator door every hour. The room and linen was very clean and smelled fresh. The king size bed we requested was provided and was as comfortable as any hotel I had ever stayed before. There are pros and cons to any vacation. Good luck with your decision!!! For the price tag there are definitely better options than this one. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"myrtle beach's version of motel 6"
More than Disappointing! I stayed in a three bedroom suite for three nights with my parents, husband, and 15yr old. Upon arrival, we were given a room which smelled of mold, had stained carpet, and did not have the bedding layout expected. We were shown two other rooms and decided to stay in the last one offered to us. To say this place needs updating […] is an understatment. The rooms we saw had stains on the walls, broken remotes, and very worn sofas and mattresses. I woke up with a back-ache every morning. The room we stayed in had a toliet with black mold around the entire underside which is in plain view as you approach it. Housekeeping used the same sheets that were deliberately let on the floor given unusual stains. The only instance we saw housekeeping was the day of check-out as we were walking out. "DO NOT STAY at CAMELOT!!!"
Awful! Not only did the internet NOT work on the 15th floor (although I was told it was "supposed to"...) but there were NEVER any towels in the pool area (I went 3 times on Sat day night trying to get towels as well as 3 times on Sunday morning...)there were NEVER any CLEAN towels available then entire weekend! As far as the "hot tub" that was a JOKE! […] The one inside was ice cold and the jets would not turn on. The hot tub that was located outside by the pools was also not working properly, it was luke warm (at best) although the jets on that one actually did turn on. As far as customer service, AWFUL! When issues were taken to front desk the staff acted as if these were not real issues and that I was being a "pain" because they had no intentions of addressing these issues! I will NEVER again stay there!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Never again"
DVD player and hair dryer not working. No one ever came up to fix/replace them so luckily we had our own. No dishwasher, washer, dryer, or disposal. Indoor pools always had sand on the bottoms for our entire weeks stay, so we didn't use them. No maintenance in hotel after 11pm, so when our toilet backed up at 11:30, we were handed a plunger. When the […] plunging took a while, the man standing in the hall waiting for the plunger seemed to get irritated and began knocking loudly. No housekeeping at that hour, so we had to wait until a.m. to have the dirty floor mopped. This took several calls to finally get it accomplished. When checking out, we were not asked how we liked our stay and since we were soooo glad to get out of there, we didn't stay to chat. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The Salvation Army has Better Accomodations"
Rooms were small, carpet and furniture looked as it has neve been cleaned since it was put into use. Nice view from balcony no screen doors. Beds were worse than the ones I slept in in the Army, the place smelled so bad, we had to go to store and buy room freshener just so we can breath, we also bought coverings for sofa and chairs, they were so dirty […] and nasty smelling. "The hotel Camalot By THe Sea Ocean Resort in Myrtl"
Good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel only has 4 elevators and more than once at least one of the elevators was not working. As far as the pool goes.. it is a free for all...there aren't any lifeguards and no control in the pool or the lazy river. Kids were horsing around while there were little children around. I would not stay there again or recommend it....Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Rooms had an odor..didn't feel clean once you remained in room. Area is not a friendly place for vacationers...it is used by teenagers that are very noisy, rowdy and boisterous. "WORST EXPERIENCE"
The Hotel was ill equiped for "Black Biker Week" at Myrtle Beach as was most of the hotels and area business'. After going to my car in the parking garage with men following me making lude remarks I could not longer go alone. You could not enter or leave the hotel for all the people gathered at the entrances and exits. They parked their cars in the […] garage in the lanes going up/down and washed them! You could not sleep because people were "reving" their sports motorcycle engines in the garage. I stood on my balcony and looked down to the jacuzzi and there were people having sex in there! Who would DARE get in there after that? In the morning there was so much garbage etc on the grounds you could not walk! After a final attempt at sitting by the pool NOT DARING to get in........people who were regular guests left because of all the language, and horseplay. One could had their children there and they basically ran. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The pictures of the hotel rooms on the internet are not what the rooms really look like. We went to two different rooms and neither one of them were like the pictures. The front desk was not very nice. The rooms are very outdated and not very clean. They need to replace the couch because it had stains all over it and was ripped in a lot of places. The […] room are very small. Also they do not have a indoor pool. Their meaning of an indoor pool- a pool outside with cover on top. Not good at all. We are never going back to this hotel. "Not Recommended"
This hotel was not at all what we expected. Carpets were extremely worn. Sofa bed was so soiled that we were not comfortable sitting on it without a sheet covering it. There was spackle all over the walls. The 1 bedroom was actually just a room where the 2 queen beds are separated by a very narrow hallway that is both the kitchen and entrance to the […] bathroom. We complained and were offered 2 other rooms where the condition was consistent with the first room. Although we had already paid we checked out as soon as we found availability at another location. We did not even sleep there one night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The worst stay ever."
This place is a slum. Apartment has worn carpet, stained sofa, ripped blankets. The balcony had spots were cigarettes were rubbed out. Front entry to room opens into the one bedroom, not a true bedroom. You need to close two doors for privacy all the time. Front lobby is like a taxi stand, elevators are scratched with names, hallways are dirty. If I […] could give it a negative rating number I would. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel was FILTHY. It is a non smoking hotel, but our room stunk of cigarettes and had cigarette burns in the comforters of both beds. The carpets were so dirty that when we took our shoes off, our feet were visibly black on the bottoms. There was grime on everything possible. I kept waiting for the roaches to crawl out, as it seemed they were the […] only thing missing. Housekeeping kept banging on the door to service the room, even with a do not disturb sign. One of the two elevators on the north end was broken the two days I was there. I would NOT stay at this hotel again, even if it was free. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wasn't what the photos portrayed"
Right off the bat. Overall give hotel a 1 to 1.5 and that was because of the hotel location and housecleaning staff. What I saw as pictures of hotel on web site and then got to hotel. Not the same. It seemed hotel was more interested in selling condos then taking care of guest. From time of arrival at hotel till in room. 2.5 hours. Room I had been reserved […] still not ready. Hotel room size was nice. but hold in door where someone before us punched it in and ripped up couch. Made sure and called front desk on that. Sheet look like they had not been changed. Hair on sheet was not ours. Free internet, only Monday through Fridays and if you want to get online do it before 6:00AM or forget access. Staff could or would not help us. Positive was hotel was right on the beach. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Motel Hell"
Upon check-in the room was NOT clean in the least. Peanut shells on the floor. Dried sugar crystals (I hope) on the table top. Hairs (undeniably pubic despite my best efforts) on the bathroom floor and vanity. Badly stained carpet. Black mold on the shower curtain...but hey the beds were made! I asked for a re-clean and despite the "effort" was still […] unsatisfactory. A total waste of a beautiful ocean view. I've never written a hotel review before but in this case feel compelled to do my civic duty. I'm forgiving when it comes to hotels-I've stayed at everything from The Ritz to a Red Roof Inn. I just ask that the rooms be reasonably clean. This place is an inexcusable hell hole. When I pointed out the unsanitary conditions to various staff I would receive the same drool cup response you'd expect from someone with a brain injury. Ex. "Yeah your right we need to fix that" followed by incoherent mumbling while desperately trying to escape the conversation. To sum up, if I may be so blunt.....Camelot By The Sea-SUCKs. I feel dumber for having stayed there and just hope I haven't caught a dormant virus from the bed comforter. For the first time out of many Expedia bookings I felt duped. The reviews we're mostly positive and with the nice looking room photos and surprising Expedia endorsement I thought I booked a winner. My wife no longer trust my judgment but at least no longer tortures me with singing Camelot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
