"Could be better"
The first surprise was having to pay for parking. A sign in front of the hotel says $15 valet, $8.99 Self parking, plus tax. When I checked in I asked the front desk why parking was separate from the room cost, because if I'm staying here, one would assume I'd park here. She stated that they were working on making it part of the cost of the room. This […] notion was quite ridiculous to me. The second thing that registered on my irkometer, the shower had a slow drain. It was disgusting to stand in the shower-a shower used by the public, filling with water. I made the hotel aware of this issue in the morning as I left to eat and shop. But sure enough, I had to endure the pooling water during my next shower. The rates were too expensive for these types of issues. And my time off is too precious to tolerate meger accommodations. I know the value of the dollar has dropped but sheesh. I have no desire to revisit the Hilton at Myrtle Beach. On the plus side, the beds slept like a dream. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hilton Myrtle Beach time share sales resort"
Not at all what I expected from a Hilton resort. Restaurant service on site was horrible, food was disgusting... room was okay. Within 5 minutes of checking in I received a call to the room requesting we come down to the lobby for a "special" guest package: Time share sales for the neighboring property. No thank you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"REPEAT STAY, TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED, READ THIS"
Where to begin? Hotel's run down, door jamb was busted, counter with crumbs upon check in, bathroom subpar with NON working bathroom ventilation fan(!), was told no longer pet friendly (which is fine) as a result of renovations (which were absent and in dire need of), rates raised and new rate of $8.99 per night to park, water damage and mold in corridor […] between Hilton and Royal Palms condos (smelled very badly, water was actually pouring into hotel and staff only places towels down instead of a sign and fixing the problem), pool area TOTALLY vacant of staff on wednesday with no poolside towels (not even behind in storage, so walked inside (wet) stood in A/C and upon asking hotel assoc for assistance, she tells me I need to wait in line because she can't handle those problems, the Hilton doesn't allow her to! Disgraceful; she should be embarrased at her conduct. LISTEN - NOT AT ALL A CLASSY HOTEL, IN FACT QUITE POOR. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY, GO AAAAANYWHERE ELSE! By the way, waited 15 min before I got a towel, had to hunt down maintenance!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, terrible hotel"
The actual location of the hotel could not be better. We were right on the beach and just about every room overlooks the ocean. You are steps from the pool and beach and the restaurants and pool bar are great. The room, however, was disgusting. The vent over the shower was rusty and caked in at least 1/4 inch of dust and grime. The only place to charge […] my cell phone at night was behind the bedside table and when I had to move the table to reach the outlet, the cords, wall, and outlet were caked in years and years of dust and dirt. The shower curtain had long, dark hair all over it from a previous person. Will not be returning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"a clean luxury hotel at a good location"
My family enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is next to the beach and provides multiple outdoor pools. People there were kind and courteous. We had good breakfast at the cafe on the 2nd floor. One thing I didn't like was there were not enough towels in the bathroom for four of us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great getaway for those seeking quiet beaches"
The beach and hotel property are quite nice. It is in a quiet section of beach with calmer water that is good for small children. The room was nicely decorated and the beds are quite comfortable, with a variety of soft and firm pillows on each bed. The overall stay was great. There is a small children's pool that kept my daughter very entertained. […] My only qualm was with the add-on parking fee. The hotel charged $8.99 + tax for each night's stay for "self-parking." We thought that was a little cheesy, especially for such a nice hotel. The elevators were also incredibly slow, which turned quick trips to the room into 30-minute ordeals. "Face life to the property badly needed"
Hotel is in high maintenance mode. Pool out back by the open air bar/restaurant was closed for 2 days. Hot tub had mildew on parts of the surrounding top. The outdoor kids water park is 3 doors down at the Embassy Suites so a pretty good walk. Rooms are very small and in my opinion hard to really get clean. Very dissatisfied with this Hilton property. […] Hope they have it on their scheduled to refurnish asap. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hmmmmm......needs some work here..."
Pools were nice....beach was nice...great bar...food was mediocre. Decor was dated. Could use some updating. Overall it ws fine for an overnight. I wouldn't want to sty here for a week. Had a great view of ocean. I'm used to staying in nicer hotels. This hotel was not up to par with the Hilton branding. Have stayed in other Hilton's and this was by […] far the most dated one I have ever stayed at. If your only intention is to sit By pool and beach and party, it's the perfect place. "Good hotel: Except problems at Check in"
Despite requesting a non-smoking room, we were checked into a Smoking room, and the front desk did not inform us at the time of check in that we were being given a smoking room. When I entered the room, it smelled of cigarette smoke. I called the front desk immediately and requested a room change, and they at first told me that they have no rooms available, […] and they could spray the room to mask the smell. I have serious allergies to smoke, and I had to convince the desk for quite some time, who then magically came up with another room, same room type on a different floor (10 minutes ago, the hotel was sold out). So, beware, despite being a "Hilton", they might try to trick you to get a smoking room. I was at a convention, and the next morning met several other people who had been given a smoking room. I thought that this was a room preference most hotels guarantee. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very disappointing!!"
Very disappointing! The room was very small and we found a giant dead bug on the floor of our room. The water in the bathtub was not draining.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Horrible!!!!!"
First of all, you have to pay a daily fee to park at this hotel because security is on the premises but there are notices everywhere that they are not responsible if your vehicle is broken into. As far as the room goes, there was a horrible odor in the room that was coming from the mattess pad on the bed. After it was changed, the odor still persisted. […] The shower/tub had a hole in the porcelain with lots of rust. For the amount of money paid for this hotel I really expected much better quality. I am not a complainer, therefore, this experience was pretty bad for me to submit this review. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The outside facilities were outstanding! However the room was small and the bathroom was small! The bathroom shower head was low and it was difficult to take a shower! "25th Wedding Anniversary Get-away"
Overall, it was a nice week. We had reserved a non-smoking, King bed room with an ocean view. We got a nice view, but we had two Queen beds. They were "full" and couldn't move us. The room had also been smoked in. They gave us a fruit tray the second night we were there with a card from the staff related to our anniversary. "Very Noisy"
The experience at Hilton was dreadful. I would say one of the most unpleasant experiences we had staying at a hotel in Myrtle Beach. The hotel was pretty empty, but they set us up with a room at the 11th floor. We paid a lot of money for our room and it was not refundable. We had a partial side view of the ocean even the room description was ocean front […] view. What was very unpleasant was the on-going loud noise from 2 big fans located on the bottom of the building. During the night had so much trouble sleeping due to all that noise. They did not want to change our room. Another inconvenience was that we had to walk thru a patio outside to get to our room. It was windy, so every time somebody will be coming in or going out, the door was making a loud noise and it was disturbing. Overall we end up feeling more tired after our vacation and not being able to relax at all. The hotel is far away from everything. Swimming pool had a yellow caution tape all around the deeper side. Freezing cold water, as the swimming pool was not heated. We had to pay for parking and internet. The carpet was stained from somebody that vomited. It was smelling funny and it was not cleaned during the time we stayed there. Outside of our door somebody left some empty glasses and plates from a room service order that were not picked up during our stay. Not worth your time and money. You can definitely find a better place for your next vacation. Not a 4 stars hotel experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too much $$ for what you get"
If you like pools, they have plenty of them. The hotel could use a makeover. The doors are really heavy so you hear everyone slamming them through out the day and night. The beds should be way more comfortable for the price of the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hilton March 2012"
Great stay! Contractors were working on the deck while we were there, but that is to be expected this time of year. Really enjoyed the pool area, with the bar right there, a little music and close to the beach. Relaxing. Room was good, although the bathroom could be upgraded a little. Good rate for the room. "Hilton Myrtle Beach"
Off season (Christmas) and hotel seemed quite empty. Door captain was quite helpful and check in was a breeze. Room was nice and at the holiday special, seemed to be a good value. First complaint: mini fridge needed defrosting. Looked like it hadn't been done in about 1-2 months. Second complain: air vent in bathroom showed some rust. This would be […] expected at a Super-8, but not a Hilton. Breakfasts: Gratis thanks to coupons provided at checkin. Good BIG breakfast in Southern Tradition. Hostess was friendly and personable, as was wait staff and chef. Very good service and a very good breakfast. On a side note, not an instant grit to be seen. Ate dinners off resort mostly to capture some of the local fare. Good places to eat if you take time to look. On my last night, I did partake of room service, ordering a NY Strip (medium rare) and substituing fries for the loaded baked potato. Meal arrived on time (30 minutes) by a cheerful hostess from the restaurant. While the steak was indeed cooked to medium rare, it did however lack a good "crust" or sear. It was still edible and I did enjoy it. Once again, this is more of a small dissatisfaction rather than a major complaint. Also, Southern Hospitality is NOT a myth as evidenced by all the helpful people I met during my stay. For off season, this is a good way to spend Christmas in Myrtle Beach. "The music was the best part"
This was my first trip to murtle and unsure what to expect. I have had success with Hiltons in the past. Unfortunately this wasn't what I was looking for. The cab ride from the airport is $40! There is nothing to do in this area past 8pm. The pool was super crowded and unable to get a chair past 9am. The band plays from 1-5 and is awesome. Your only […] option for breakfast in the hotel you have to wait in line for if you get there after 8am. There is shuttle service, but they only go to several locations. There is a concierge service. I tried calling from the room a couple times and was trasnferred twice to a ringing phone that was never picked up. I wound up having to go to the desk at use the "red phone" to talk to a concierge off site. She was very helpful. Staff at the hotel, I felt like I had to pry information out of. I wound up renting a car on my second day and drove myself around to broadway at the beach, a bbq festival, and shopping all located about 10 miles south of the hotel. I would reccomend bringing a gps. The roads to get back to the hotel are a little trickey. This hotel is not meant for a young crowd. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
