Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort

Room service is over priced. We stayed for a week. There are no laundry facilities on the property. They are located at their sister property. Rained all week. There is no indoor pool. You can take a shuttle to get to indoor pool at Kingston Plantation. Our toilet over flowed. Housekeeping took forever to get to our room. We checked out a day early. […] There are only two drawers in the room. Our trip was for a week. We had to keep most of our clothes in our suitcases. The hotel is fine for an overnight stay, but not for a week long trip. The bath products by Peter Thomas Roth were the only plus. We asked for two queen beds. These are full size beds. Extremely small, so I requested a roll away bed for my daughter and they said no. It was a fire hazard. Real comfy if u sleep in one position all night. A steak at this hotel is 30 dollars. Tea was not fresh. 50 degree weather and rain all week for Spring Break. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. We enjoyed our whole week outside if the hotel at shows. Read more

The hotel was beautiful and location was great! Being able to use the pool and hottubs at the neighboring hotel was very nice, except both of the hottubs were full of unsupervised small kids every time we went to use them. The toiletries (ie...toilet paper, soap, etc) were not refilled daily and we ran out of toilet paper the last night (with four people […] and two teenagers staying in a room for 4 days, two rolls aren't going to cut it!) Also, we had to leave a note for the maids to leave more coffee and creamer as they did not refill that either! The vending machines were either empty or were not accepting money. The prices of the drinks at the outside bar were a bit high, costing us over $20 for two small cocktails. If you are a guest at the hotel we feel there should be some sort of break on the bar prices, if the prices were lower we would've gone back for more while we sat on the beach. Overall, the hotel and service was great and we would definitely recommend the hotel to others looking for a place with the beach outside the back door and in a quieter location for people with families, but next time we will probably look for a place with a kitchenette. Advertised as under renovations, fair, was, but we were placed in room that was formerly a smoking room and odor was still strong. We should have requested to be moved, but we chose to stay in that room; next day cleaning service was late and we just took replacement supplies, slight hassle, only there 2 days. We actually had not been to that hotel […] in 20 years and wanted to go back as quaint quick vacation. No wi-fi, breakfast and paid to park in November, seems like nickel and diming customers. Overall, if this was a lesser brand, it would be a nice hotel, but since it is the Hilton, it should be a lot better. Maybe this is a brand on the decline? Read more

I found the location to be very relaxing and also close enough to attractions that it was easy to get around. Security at the gate was comforting. I do not agree with the parking charges however the covered parking garage is very nice. Overall we had a great time and we will return.

The overall stay was great at the Hilton. The staff were nice people. The hotel was clean. The layout was nice for the kids and it had an overall great spot on the beach. Fun for babies with the kiddie pool and fun for the family. Would stay there again. The concierge went out of her way to stop at the store to buy my wife a birthday cake and flowers […] for her birthday after she was off her shift so that we could enjoy it by poolside the next day. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. It was a delayed check in, but they did try to make it up to us. The only downfall was they failed to mention a convention going on that had people yelling in the lobby and outside until two am. For a Hilton I expected more but it was alright.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is an older property and due to be renovated. The rooms and exterior could use some improvements. I think it will be great once it is updated. Location is great...kind of quiet and tucked away. Resort has a lot to offer.

On Hotels.com the images of the rooms were beautiful but when we arrived at the hotel the room looked nothing liek the pictures! They were not very clean and needed alot of attention. We had to change rooms 3 times before I found a room that was acceptable and even then I was still not happy! Paint was chipping off the walls, the bath tub had black […] stains on the ceiling and tiles were popping off the wall, air conditioner was not strong. and we had to call the front desk to remind them we needed our room cleaned bc the cleaning lady never came. The hotel is way under staffed and waiting for your car at valet took 15 minutes and waiting for a bell captain took alot of time too. The grounds and the pools in the hotel were amazing, but it was inconvenient that hotel staff was painting the floor around the pool 10 minsutes beofre opening the pool for the day. If the service and the cleanliness of the rooms were as good as the grounds and pools this would a 5 star resort. Read more

Pretty nice hotel, they have valet parking but it costs. It's 8.99 a day to self park, 15 a day for valet. Of course we self parked. Rooms are pretty decent, need a few upgrades. The rest of the hotel is very nice. Pools are first rate, they have an outside bar on site, you can also use the amenities at Embassy suites. Overall a nice hotel, albeit a […] bit overpriced. This place is really a dive compared to all of my Hilton exposures. The carpet is worn and nasty, the rooms need updating all the way around. Shower heads are only 4 feet off the ground, old carpet!!, outdated phones, basically everything is from 1975 when the place was built. We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious, we took long walks on the beach, the hotel was close to great restaurants and area attractions. We enjoyed the pool and the staff excellent at bringing towels, an umbrella, and refreshments from the bar and restaurant. We had a wonderful stay!

The hotel is in a good location. The pools are nice, and there was a DJ playing music, which really gave it a nice overall feel outside. However, the rooms need a serious update, and the service left a lot to be desired. The room we were originally placed in was on an "outdoor wing" of the hotel, which made me feel like I was staying in a cheap motel...not […] good. That first night, we realized there was a water leak in the closet ceiling. Also, cash we had placed in the safe was soaking wet. (Aren't safes water proof?) We notified the front desk, who told us they'd put us in a new room (which was not on an "outdoor wing", so that was a plus). However, no one called us back to tell us our new room was available until 3 hours later, so I was stuck in the hotel room waiting for that call for a while. :( When they finally had a room ready for me, I had to go down and request for a bellman to assist me in moving my things. The staff was less than friendly. We were told that our first night's stay would be comp'd by the manager. Great news! So we asked if we could just extend our stay by a night. The front desk told us they didn't know and gave us an 800 number to call. ???? We called, and the lady who answered told us that our room was available for an additional night and that we should contact the front desk of the hotel to reserve it. When we did this, the front desk again told us they could not reserv it. We just hung up and waited to speak to the manager the following day. She took care of it. The manager was very accomodating and personable. Her staff, however, was not. Overall, we did have a great time, but you should be aware of these things before booking. Read more

You may read in other reviews that the hotel or rooms are "worn"....that may be slightly true but everything else is wonderful - so don't let that bother you. We booked this hotel solely because it was pet friendly & we were thrilled w/our vacation w/our mini schnauzer! Hotel has dog park we used daily - thank you! My husband & I commented several times […] how friendly not only the staff was but the other hotel guests were always greeting you friendly. The location is wonderful, pools, restaurants (even tho we ate maily off grounds) - we used them all! I'm hoping to return next year.....all because they are pet friendly - we can enjoy ourselves AND have our pet with us - a perfect combo! Read more

The room size was very small. The bathroom had mold in the shower area. The pools were very loud with a DJ playing loud music all day that you could hear from the beach or your room. If you like loud and crowded this place is for you. We received excellent customer service from the staff.

The hotel is perfectly off the main drag on on a very clean North Myrtle Beach. The room was clean and had a great view of the water. In addition, the pool area is perfect for everyone.
