This is the perfect beach resort. You are right on the water and the atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. The patio bar looks out on the water and you can have drinks and snacks without putting on shoes or changing out of your swimsuit. The staff is terrific -- everybody is friendly and is working to help you have a relaxed, stress-free holiday. […] (We loved Damon in the bar!) There is a nice pool and the ocean is swim-able. Breakfast (included) is fine. We found the restaurant adequate but not great. There is always something happening in the bar area and it can get noisy, so if you are looking for a really quiet holiday that could be a problem. We loved all the different bands and watching the Karioke. The rooms right near the bar area might be noisy, but ours was not and we were just a hallway away. This is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the sun and the Caribbean atmosphere. Read more

Overall we had an amazing time. The place is very secluded but people seem to know about it, so there is a cool atmosphere throughout the day and night. They have a pretty cool jukebox with a good selection of music. The view of the ocean and sunset is unbelievable. You should not leave without trying their signature drink the Pirate, which is served […] in a coconut. They also have jet skies which is also a unique experience because you can ride them freely, pretty much as far as the tank allows within the hour. Staff is very friendly. I spent 2 nights at the Villa Cofresi with my family. The whole area of Rincon is wonderful, with a very laid back attitude. The hotel is located directly on the beach. The strip of sand isn't very wide, but you can walk along the beach about 7 minutes in each direction from the hotel. The hotel has beautiful public spaces that are kept clean. The continental […] breakfast is good, and the bar is definitely lively. Visitors from other hotels and houses/condos frequent the hotel bar in the evening for gorgeous sunset views. The room itself was very large, but not impressive. The room was clean, but the decor is very outdated. The beds were old, but we still got a good night's sleep. We didn't mind the room too much since we spent very little time in it. The comfort and quality of the public spaces seemed much more important since we spent more time out there. The hotel location within Rincon is good as well. Big beaches were all around, and a 10 minute drive away for the farthest beaches. All said and done, we'd definitely stay here again. Read more

We stayed at Villa Cofresi for only 1 night, sadly for us! Reading the reviews, we thought this was a small family-run B and B-type place, but it is a proper beachside hotel property, with a pool, bar and restaurant, not to mention being right on the beach! We used the beach and the pool towels provided the afternoon we were there, then rinsed off and […] hung out at the beachfront bar the rest of the evening to watch the sunset. Great atmosphere, very laid back & relaxing. Try the 'Pirate in a coconut' drink, and be warned - it is strong! Continental breakfast is included, and has bread, bagels, cereal, pastries and fresh fruit, quite filling. The only downside to the place is that there is no elevator, but the hotel can provide you with a strong-shouldered guy to help with your bags. Overall, a great place to stay in, our favourite on our PR trip, and we look forward to going back and staying longer! Read more

I stayed here with 2 friends. We had a wonderful time. The ocean and pool are just steps away. The bar and patio is a fun place to relax during the day or night. On the weekends there is live island music at night which made for a truly enjoyable evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Villa Cofresi was just as described...a well-kept hotel right on the beach in Rincon with comfortable rooms, excellent and accomodating staff and lively outdoor bar. We got there too early to check-in and the desk concierge went out of their way to make us comfortable until our rooms were ready. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the waitstaff […] outstanding, especially Ada and Luis. We were limited to staying at the hotel in that we did not rent a car. I would recommend doing so for anyone looking to stay here as you can explore the surrounding area. The mini-shopping mall across the road did have a gem of an Argentinian restaurant called Vacas Gordas which I highly recommend. I came to Villa Cofresi to relax, enjoy the beach and lovely sunsets and was not disappointed! The bar is lively with friendly bartenders like Yandres and Kareoke is not to be missed! The drinks were cold and refeshing and inexpensive by my NYC standards. I would definitely return in the future and see more of what Rincon has to offer using this hotel as a starting point. Villa Cofresi is a great place for the family. There were many activities for teenagers from swimming in the surf, or pool, to playing pool & ping pong. Great surfing beaches and instruction is just minutes away. We also had one of the best meals in Puerto Rico at the restaurant in Villa Cofresi. It was a wonderful place.

I always stay here when i go to PR -i love the that its on the beach and is way better than the rip off hotels or dicey cheap ones in san juan. I love the family friendly atmosphere and everyone is friendly too. It seems like such a genuine place for visitors and locals alike to hang out and have a good time. the hotel was very quaint but with everything you could expect it it to have, pool, bar near the pool, both overlooking the beach, the beach was a about 5 steps down from the pool and bar deck, beach chairs were lined up on the beach, umbrellas are available at the front desk for no extra charge, jet ske and similar type things were available from the […] beach which were able to be charged to the room, the food was good especialy the fresh caught snapper which seem to run rampant in puerto rico. the location was close enough to town but not too far. most of my nights were spent at the hotel bar. would definitely go back again. We spent 4 days in march 2011. Great location great staff. Most of the people staying here and in the bar and restaurant were locals and we felt that we were part of the culture not just tourist. Though you might not want a room over looking the bar as it is hopping every night.
