Unfortunately, we weren't there long enough to take advantage of all of the amenities. But it is worth going to if only for the great buffet breakfast. "Great hotel, but didn't sleep well..."
Almost everything about this hotel was great. The room was clean and modern, even included a small fridge and microwave. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy - check-out could be done from your room on the phone. They even offer exercise equipment that you can check out and use in your room. The only problem that we had was that neither my wife […] nor I slept well. The bed was comfortable enough - it even had an adjustment for firmness (although I could not feel any difference from one extreme to the other in the settings). The problem, I think, was temperature. The bed had a sheet and a very nice, plush comforter for covers. My wife and I prefer a cool room to sleep in, so we opened the window to cool the room down (the air-conditioning appeared to be disabled, being that it was December). The room was comfortably cool, but using the comforter was too warm, and using only the sheet was not enough. Consequently, we tossed and turned all night. This is a 3-star hotel that feels like more. The firmness of the king-size beds are independently adjustable on both sides. They offer free wireless service along with free printing from the room. Room service is available and the fees aren't outrageous. And the breakfast buffet is easily the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel...made to order eggs […] & omelets, pancakes, french toast, waffles, pastries are all fantastic. Definitely pay a few bucks extra per night when you book the room (this will include the buffet for everyone in your room) because you will want it and it's $10.95 per day per person otherwise. The location is convenient to Portland (just five minutes to the zoo) without the extra costs of Portland hotel rooms, parking, and traffic. I had minimal needs, basically a place to sleep and shower after a half-marathon. I found the hotel to be very convenient to the venue -- the main reason I booked. the price was reasonable, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. I have stayed here several times and absolutely love it. However the price has went from around 79 a night up to 189 a night and that is WAY to much to spend for a hotel room.
