THE HOTEL STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THE ROOM WE GOT WAS SET UP WEIRD SO THERE WAS NOT MUCH SPACE WITH ALL THE FURNITURE THAT WAS IN THERE.I COULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT SOME OF THE FURNITURE TO MAKE SPACE FOR LUGGAGE BUT THIS WOULD NOT EFFECT MY STAY AGAIN. "Close to NYC"
If you want to go to NYC and save on hotel, you should try this one! We took the S62 bus from the Hotel to the St, George ferry, which the ferry rides for free and then you are just there in NYC!! "Excellent location in quiet neighborhood"
We have stayed at other hotels on Staten Island and this was by far the best. Our refrigerator was not working and we reported it on our way out for the morning. It was immediately repaired/replaced. The staff were very nice especially at the front desk. The hotel is located on a residential one-way street. "Ramada Inn on Staten Island-15 min away from ferry"

"Ramada Staten Island"
For those who want to drive to New York but don’t want the Manhattan traffic, this is a great choice. Right off the interstate, it's easy to get to/from. It's also within driving distance of the ferry, which is easy to get to from the hotel. "Must be newly built"
Let's start with the good. This hotel must be newly built (or recently renovated as of June 2011) because the building and the room looks really new (even the furniture). It's also very clean as well. It's literally right off the exit on the 278W (so pay attention when exiting because its parking entrance is about 50feet off the exit). Although it's […] right next to the freeway, the windows and walls are soundproof, so you won't hear anything (at least, we didn't hear anything during our stay). There's free breakfast and free internet, so that's nice. If you're visiting Manhatten/NYC, you can drive to Staten Island Ferry (about 3-5 miles) and pay about $5 for all day parking. The ferry is free and it runs every 15-30 min and will bring you directly to Manhatten/NYC. You can also visit Staten Island as well, so not too bad of a location. Now, the bad part. When we were there (June 2011), they are still renovating, so you can see construction going on in the building. I can't speak for the noise level on that area because it occurs on the side away from the freeway (I stayed in the side next to freeway). If you get a 2 queen beds, the room will be incredibly cramped, so beware of that. Also, the parking lot is small, and there's no parking lanes, so people pretty much park however they see fit. Generally, people are courteous enough to not block off a car, but it might be hard to get out if you have a big car and the lot is full. This might part of the renovations, where a bigger lot will be built later. Also, if you're a tourist, it's located in a residential area, so no immediate tourist stops. I thought this was a great hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean, the beds were comfortable, the AC worked real good, there was free parking, and the staff was professional and polite. "Good value and convenient location"
We stayed 3 nights at the Staten Island Ramada. The hotel is very clean and the room was so quiet. I'm a light sleeper, but I managed to get in three wonderful nights of uninterrupted sleep. Wireless internet is free, but a bit on the slow side. The free continental breakfast had enough selections (waffles, eggs, sausage patties, pastries, yoghurt, […] etc.), but quantities were often running low. The location is convenient and easy to find. Stayed here for a few days while visiting the city. Very clean, comfortable hotel, and the service was great. Debra was on reception,many sorted out our room when we had been booked in to a smoking room inCorrectly. She got us moved quickly and without fuss. Getting to New York city was a breeze, we had a 20 minute drive to the ferry car park, and then […] used the free Staten Island service to go to the city, what a great service that is. The hotel is righ by the freeway, so some of the rooms can get quite a bit of ambient noise, as the freeway never stops. Il y a un arrêt de bus à 200m de l'hotel qui vous conduira en 40 min au terminal des ferries et […] compter 25 min pour arriver à manhattan par le ferry. Très bonne façon de découvrir la Statue de la Liberté et le Skyline de New York le jour comme le soir. L'environnement est agréable, le Mall de Staten Isalnd est à 10mn en voiture ou en taxi et Denino's Pizza à 2km6 où sont servis les meilleures pizzas de New york .
