This area hosts the world’s largest hot-air balloon festival. Each fall, more than 700 balloons take off from Balloon Fiesta Park, also home to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Other nearby attractions are the Petroglyph National Monument’s 20,000 rock-art images and the Sandia Peak Tramway, a 15-minute tram ride from the base to the 10,378-foot summit of Sandia Peak.

Upon arriving the night clerk didn't want to have anything to do with me. I was given the wrong room and told "too bad I can't do anything for you". When I asked for some extra linen, since I would be sleeping on the floor since there was only one bed for 4 people, I was only given two blankets and told that is all they have take it or leave it. Was […] told to ask the following day for the correct room and was told to come back after house keeping was done. I was still not given the room I paid for as was told that since I booked through Hotels.com the exact room I requested was not gauranteed by this hotel chain.
