This area hosts the world’s largest hot-air balloon festival. Each fall, more than 700 balloons take off from Balloon Fiesta Park, also home to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Other nearby attractions are the Petroglyph National Monument’s 20,000 rock-art images and the Sandia Peak Tramway, a 15-minute tram ride from the base to the 10,378-foot summit of Sandia Peak.

We had a good stay. Best accomodations in Albuquerque in years. My wife is handicapped and the handicap room was perfect. The restaraunt was perfect in that the menu caters to a vegetarian diet if so desired and the prices were reasonable as well. Staff was very accomodating as well. "pet fee"

"Perfect Place to Stay"
Absolutely perfect place to stay -- hotel is very user friendly. Overall, there are only a couple of things that could be improved upon - 1) $6.50 for oatmeal should be corrected. Entire breakfast buffet is $7.50 -but if you want a bowl of "instant" oatmeal - it's $6.50. 2) elevator is slow, slow - but really can't see what can be done to improve this […] problem. Someone broke a vase in one of the parking spots and the glass was there for five days. All of this seems like a lot - but overall, outstanding place to stay. Theresa with Housekeeping services goes above and beyond to see that everything is perfect. She is a Gem! "Will be a must again n not for business next time"
I loved everything about it. It had a homey feel to it and was a comfortable inviornment. My husband and kids adored it and didnt want to leave. They cried the whole time we packed up n checked out. we requested early check but the check in desk was NOT happy about it. our room was way at the end of hallway even though we asked for closer to elevator. air conditioner was frozen (room was 100 inside) and toilet was missing seat, maids did not understand our request for maintance. front desk FINALLY moved us to another room down the other hallway […] so had no help dragging spouse oxygen tanks all over. asked for kleenx and none left in hotel. the bathtub drain was full of hair so told front desk they need to be proactive and not wait for people to complain. "Easy access to interstate"
The hotel is showing some wear but the rooms are big and the bed is comfy. Internet access is free w/o need for access code. Food & bar in the hotel which is very convenient. Staff is VERY friendly. "Worst Customer Service Ever"
The workers at the front desk were very rude. There were no towels at the pool, employees were too busy to go grab some towels when asked for one. Requested and paid the extra fee for a roll away bed and didn't receive it till 11:45pm! Toilet wouldn't flush. Found trash left behind from previous lodgers left in our room. For someone not from New Mexico, this would be a great place to stay, for all of the Native American Lore. The Room wasn't as grand as the Lobby, but Comfortable. It just seems as though all the Thought, and Hype go into the Lobby, and less attention is paid to the Rooms themselves.
