"Photos are misleading"
Construction in front of the building. As for the roomstay the bedroom there were two windows together and each window had a different set of blinds. Both of the night tables we beat up and the tops were nicked up. In the front room the two lamps were the same style but different lamp shades. In the kitchen area the freezer door was rusted at the bottom. […] The photos are very misleading. Located at the waterfront Key West does not really have much of anything that can be classified as a nice beach little or no sand. If you like boating and fishing Key West is the place. The room smelled of urine. The wallpaper was peeling and walls were cracked. The walls and fixtures were dirty. The bathtub had holes in the fiberglass. The bathroom door had scratches all over it like someone had locked a large dog in there (probably the source of the urine smell). The remote for the old fashioned, CRT television didn't work. "Better than I expected"
I was a bit concerned for some bad reviews I read, but I got what I expected (and a little bit more). I think is a matter of being reasonable, nobody should expect a fiver star plus hotel deal and pretend to pay peanuts... The room was big, clean (it has good air conditioner and a small refrigerator). Breakfast was included, basic but good enough. "Not the ritz"

"hotel stay"
Check in went well. We walked into our room 101 and we noticed a large spot on the floor by the TV. I went to wash my face and the towel had toothpaste on it. I tried to call the main office. Phone wasn't working. I could hear her, she couldn't hear met. So i walked to the front office and received new towels. My mother used one bed that the mattress […] was so low and squeaked, you could tell it wasn't a new mattress/box spring. That was Monday. Tuesday had a nice breakfast and my husband wanted to use the hot top. Well the heat wasn't on. So we went to Mallory square. Came back to our room and beds were made but only one set of towels. I called from my cell phone to request more towels because there were three people in the room and one set isn't enough. Phone still wasn't working. Went to the lounge area to use the computer and it was down. The office said the IT person was called. That was tuesday. I tried to use it again on Wed morning before we checked out still not working. Other than those issued we had a nice time in Key west. The area around the hotel was quiet and close to the sites. "Bad service and dirty pool and breafast area"
Breakfast area smelled really bad with mold smell and pool was really dirty and bar was closed and you said it was open. we only had one face towel and was told we would have to come get it and i was really tired and didn't feel like it. Later remote would not work and called they wanted us to come get it and we told them no they brought us another […] but didn't even stay to see if it worked. "Good for a night"
We stayed here in Jan 2013. Getting to the hotel was a bit of a pain due to the construction, but that is not the hotel's fault. There isn't much in the surrounding area and a Cab to downtown can be pricy. We ended driving and paying metered parking. Worked out cheaper. The hotel itself is dated and in need of reno. The room was reasonably clean, but […] you can tell it has had its share of wear and tear. Washroom was tired and old. Furniture and carpet was old and stained. Nevertheless we weren't in the room much so like the title says.. good for passing through but I wouldn't stay here for more than that. Note the beach isn't really a beach. You can't actually go into the water. It is just a bit of sand (not even enough to play in). Breakfast was just some coffee, bagels and danishes, nothing special. Bathroom had a constant smell of urine,They were never able to find the source. shower did not have a consistent water temperature, hot to cold to hot to cold, all the time without touching the water taps. Die Hotelzimmer sind relativ groß und sauber. Das Hotel hat sicher seine besten Zeiten schon hinter sich aber die Anlage mit Pool, Frühstücksraum (man kann auch ausen Frühstücken) ist O.K. Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti scegliendo quelle che vengono chiamate suites, ma che di suites non hanno niente. Bagno molto vecchio alquanto fatiscente. La connessione wireless non è disponibile nelle camere, ma solo nella lobby e in un'altra sala comune (lontana dalla nostra camera). La colazione è abbastanza scadente.
