Located on the southern side of Key West, Santa Maria Suites is 1 block from the Gulf of Mexico and Duval Street. The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is a half-mile from the hotel. Mallory Square is 1 mile away.
Hotel Features.
Two heated outdoor pools are set amid tropical gardens. Poolside smoothies, fresh fruit, popsicles, bottled water, and chilled towels are complimentary. Open for lunch and dinner, the acclaimed Ambrosia restaurant serves Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, and teriyaki.
Guestrooms.
Spacious suites have private balconies or patios with pool or garden views. Gourmet kitchens are fully equipped with refrigerator/freezers, cooktops, ovens, wine chillers, microwaves, coffeemakers, cookware, dishwashers, and dishes. Suites also feature separate living rooms, washer/dryers, and flat-panel TVs in the living rooms and bedrooms. Wireless Internet access and DVD players are provided. "Great hotel if you like dirty showers/cramped room"
We checked in about 4:30, dropped off our stuff and were out the door by 5:30, when we returned at about midnight, we noticed someone had come in to "turndown" our room, however, towels are unfolded and not where they should be, our shower had "private area" hair in it giving the impression that someone had used the shower. absolutely gross, when we […] told the front desk about it, their response, not exaggerating anything was, "oh, well I'm sorry, I will have to talk to housekeeping about that, is there anything else" Is that supposed to make us feel better? we were NOT looking for compensation, maybe just some sympathy and corrective action! we were down in key west for only a short time researching beaches, hotels, and sites for our wedding coming up in september, maybe if they would've known that they would've been more helpful. would NOT NOT NOT recommend this hotel.
