We absolutely loved our stay at the beachside Marriott over Memorial Day weekend. We were there for our anniversary. We were greeted with champagne upon check in and the staff was very friendly. Our room was perfect, very comfortable and spacious with a separate living room dining room and full kitchen. Also we were on the top floor so we had a regular […] balcony with cozy furniture and an additional roof top balcony. The pool is centrally located with lots of chairs and loungers and a great bar. There is a small beach area near the pool with beautiful views but not a swimming area. There is a shuttle to Duval throughout the day but if you have a car it's nice to drive around the island. The hotel has amazing landscaping. The colorful gardens around the pool area make it a very relaxing place to be, especially the dock off of the private beach with the amazing sun sets. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was very happy with my stay at the Key West Mariott Beachside Hotel! The first nice surprise was the champagne offered to me as I arrived to check in. When I asked them why the champagne, they simply said; "to celebrate the beginning of your stay with us here at this hotel!" Nice. Very nice! The room I chose was one of the smaller, "standard sized" […] rooms. Although it had no balcony nor any ocean view, it was, in my opinion, an excellent room for someone who is alone and not in need of too many of the amenities available in most of the other, larger, "suites". The staff went out of their way to be polite, professional and, above all else, courteous and helpful! Trust me, I've done a lot of traveling and that is not ALWAYS the case....even at some of the other Marriott properties I have stayed in! There is an exceptional shuttle service provided by the hotel directly to the center of Duval Street every hour, on the hour. They also pick you up and bring you directly back to the hotel from the same location twenty minutes past each hour. Nice arrangement ! The shuttle drivers are fantastic! One of the drivers is a retired Key West Policeman who goes out of his way to give you a "guided tour" of all the historical, cultural and interesting facts about Key West. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean and the beds were nice & comfortable. Our only advice would be that if you want a chair by the pool or on the beach, get down there early in the morning because it fills up quick! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel.

It took a little while to get from the airport. Their shuttle never came but the front desk paid for the cab ride to the hotel with no hesitation. The room was very nice. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was huge with nice tile and a large shower. The pool was also very nice and there was never trouble finding a lounge chair. The free shuttle to Duval […] street was really great. I booked a jetski tour at the hotel and it left right from the hotel beach - very convenient. The beach was not huge but at least you had a view of the water from the pool. Service was good. They gave complimentary champagne. I ate on Duval every night- outdoors. Saw a comedy act. It was a great stay and I would recommend the Marriott to anyone and will probably go back there again. My wife and I spent a week at this hotel. We would go back in a heartbeat. We had reserved a room with a king size bed. However, upon learning that the room we reserved opened out onto an outdoor hallway and since we were going to spend an entire week there, when we arrived we requested an upgrade to a one bed room suite and paid the additional charge. […] We were extremely pleased. Fortunately, there was one available which made our stay extraordinary as it was located on the third floor overlooking the water and the court yard. Even though the hotel is located away from the city there is a shuttle which takes you downtown every hour on the hour and picks you up 20 minutes after the hour every hour. This was very convenient as there would have been little parking available if we had driven. We highly recommend this hotel. Recently stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Was worried when we checked in because there was an Offshore Powerboat Race having their awards ceremony at the hotel. BIG TRUCKS and trailers taking up all the parking. But, that was the only negative of the trip. The racers cleared out that night and the next two days were great! I was afraid that my Hotels.Com reservation was fouled up and that I had been booked into some $$$$ room, but no...the room was at the rate I had booked. To say that the room was nice would be a huge understatement: marble floors, Sub-Zero appliances in the kitchen, big screens in the living room and bedroom, great patio, whirlpool tub, marble shower, plush mattress...OMG! Also, nice pool, cool little private beach and pier...awesome! This is a great hotel if you have a car and want your hotel to be a little distance away from downtown's craziness (about a five minute drive away.) The hotel offers free shuttles on the hour to Duval Street. The drivers were extremely helpful and the staff friendly. Our room was fantastic and bed comfortable. We come to Key West a couple of times a year and will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The shuttle service provided by the hotel was a great selling point for this hotel. We never had to rent a car while we stayed here which was a great benefit. We had a wonderful stay at the KeyWest Marriott Beachside. We booked a "1 Bedroom Suite w/ Gulf View", when we checked in we were informed it was a presidential suite (more on this later.). It was gorgeous. The description online did not do this room justice. Marble floors throughout. Beautifully decorated. Huge kitchen with SubZero fridge. Huge whirlpool […] tub. We checked in and were given a level 1 room, it was beautiful.. the balcony had a staircase directly to the beach, just a short walk from the small private beach. We were only staying one night, and there was a wedding reception directly outside our room, staring right at us when we were on the balcony. I called the front desk, and they immediately had another room upstairs on the top level for us.. level 3 (really 4 stories as the garage is the ground level). The top floor balcony had a sun deck! 2 balconies! Watching the sunset from this room was incredible. Tons of photo opportunities. Ok.. So back to the Presidential suite/1 bedroom suite thing. When we booked, we originally saw this hotel on a competitor website for the same rate, under the "Presidential Suite" description. My fiance booked, without my knowledge, on hotels.com, which had the room listed as the 1 bedroom suite, with a totally different room description. I called hotels.com to see if there was a difference, and they had no knowledge of the presidential suite. I called the Marriott to see if they could make sure we had booked the right room.. they had no idea and couldn't put me in for an upgrade as it was a third party reservation. I work in the travel industry, so I'm familiar with this, and understood. My advice was to just try when I checked in, they assured me it likely wouldn't be a problem. It wasn't at all, as I said in the beginning, it was actually the right room in the first place. Anyway, this hotel is not walking distance from Duval. It would have been nice to be closer to Duval Street but we rented a moped and they also had a shuttle to downtown. Overall, this was an excellent hotel and we will go back to Key West again.. The Marriott was a good choice and in Key West you can eat at a different place every night it was an excellent choice.

Great hotel and location. The shuttle is accomodating to Duval Street entertainment and at the same time provide peace and seclusion for the craziness of the Duval Street. I can't wait to go back! The only thing I would do different is, rent bikes. We walked to much without realizing it until the next day.

We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but went to the bar a few nights and had friendly service there also. There were quite a few people trying to fit on the shuttles (which ran hourly) and they always brought an 'extra' vehicle to make sure everyone was accommodated. They even made specially requested drop offs for many of us. We liked the fact that it was away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street--very relaxing after a long day of activity. The only little problem we had was a 'parking fee' on our bill, when we did not have a car, but they quickly removed it when we asked about it. We will definitely stay here again.
