The Reach, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, sits on a a private, sand beach and has a health club and an outdoor pool with lounge chairs. A playground and scooter rentals are available nearby. The resort has a restaurant, cafe, and a bar/lounge. Room service is available during limited hours. The hotel offers complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access in public areas, a ballroom and conference rooms with 4,700 square feet of meeting space, and event catering.

I stayed there now the 3rd time within one year and was dissap. to not get the upgrade as usual. The Hotel was comp. booked. We ended up on the 2nd floor facing the courtyard and even the ocean for a bit. Both nights there was a wedding going on till 11 pm and next to our room was the outside dancefloor. Would have liked to be informed at check-in about […] this, bc. traveling with a baby this certainly was not good. All night people were walking up and down the hall to the elevators. The carpet could had been cleaner...one of the bed sheets hat brown rusty spots on it and the other one was torn on the side. Paul at the reception is wonderful!But overall it is a beautiful hotel and a wonderful relaxing spot and not at all in the middle of the Duval street bars. I need to point out specially the good service of JOHN and RICARDO at the pool and beach. They gave us everything we needed and were super friendly..they opened the beach door when we came back with a sleeping baby in the stroller and were so wonderful. We felt very welcome. The manager of John needs to know that we witnessed the incidence on SAT afternoon were he got yelled at from 4 people drinking in the pool their liqu. Only because he asked them to put the drink outside of the pool, He was nice to them and not at all yelling. They were giving him a hard time and joked about him. "Possibly the best place to stay on Key West"
The hotel was first-class. Situated near the lower end of Duval Street, the neighborhood was quiet yet close enough to walk to everything. The property is wonderful, with its own beach and wonderfully attentive staff. I can't find anything at all to take exception with. We paid for an upgraded room and had a stunning view of the ocean. "Great Service and Location Beachside"
Love the beach side service and "complimentary" resort fee services- all the guys that helped us were amazing! Hotel was a much better location than the Casa Marina for walking to Duval and seeing everything during the day and especially walking back at night. The pool is better at Casa but its not that far of a walk over to relax there during the day […] and head back to the Reach to go out at night. We will stay at the reach again. This was a nice hotel but not what I was expecting for a Waldorf Astoria Resort. The hotel was a little tired but being on the beach at Key West, I am sure maintenance is a full time job. The room was comfortable and clean. Maid service was excellent. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful but only to a point. It is a short walk to the major Key West […] sites so plan to walk, rent a bike or scooter, or drive to site see. The beach is nice and exclusive but small. Same for the pool. "Great for pets too!"
For less than we could have put our dogs in a kennel, we took the two dogs and although we were put on the fourth floor it was nice and quiet and so the dogs also stayed quiet. Wonderful location to walk the dogs on clean sidewalks and then also to go to dinner and shopping within a few blocks walk. "Horrible experience and not really Pet Friendly"
The first thing they told me after advertising Pet Friendly was that my pets could not be left alone, there was no pet sitter and if they barked or bothered the other guests, we were in trouble. I had to sign that sheet of information twice. So, they are not Pet Friendly, but merely Pet Tolerant and there was a non-refundable $125 Pet fee which was […] NOT advertised on Hotels.com. After this horrible treatment at check-in, the staff was just not that nice and they stuck us at the far end of the hotel I guess so that we wouldn't bother anyone. The hotel was mediocre at best and not at all as pictured, it felt like a holiday inn not a Waldorf Astoria property. I have traveled to NYC with my pets before and been treated wonderfully at better hotels than this one and they had pet sitting and walking etc. This hotel is not only not pet friendly but also not person friendly. Stayed 1st week of April 2011 for 2 nights for family vacation. Room was clean and comfy and bigger than I expected. Last year we stayed at the sister property Casa Marina and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel loby is not very nice. The staff was friendly but not very helpful even in the restaurants. Check in was very unsatisfactory. We arrived prior to check in time and front desk promised to call us when room was ready. They did not. No luggage carts available for guest who used self parking. Room layout very poor. Hard to see TV from bed. No full length mirror. In bathroom, toilet was in same room as dressing area. Shower got water all over floor. […] Could not turn on a light without noisy fan. There was insufficient lighting over the makeup vanity. The in-room furniture contained no drawers for storing folded clothing, only shelves. No listing of TV channels. Had to call engineering to show us how to get TV channels. The window from the adjoining room looked right out onto our balcony. Go here only if you like noisy kids in the pool. The location of this hotel is poor relative to attractions in old town Key West. We went here because in the past we liked the ambience when it was a Marriott and Wyndham property. All that is gone. There is no pool or beach bar. The service (drinks/food) from the inside restaurant to the pool and beach is very spotty (understaffed, I guess). First day it was almost non-existent - we finally went down the street to get lunch because no one would wait on us. Other days were better, but still not great. The one exception is the guys who supplied towels and chairs. They were great - gave excellent service. "Not the 4 star resort I had hoped"
The hotel was ok, but definitely not worth what we paid. Our room overlooked a parking lot used by the valet service so we had less than stellar views. Upon entering the room, we found a toenail on the floor. We got passed the initial disgust and settled into our room. It was nice & very modern. The shower was spacious and the water pressure was appreciated. […] The pool and beach area was wonderful. Nice sand for the kids to build sandcastles. This is hard to find in Key West so that was great! My only complaint about the pool area was that everyone was being served drinks and no one ever came by our party to see if we needed anything. "Not as Good as Expected - A Lot to be Desired"
The Reach Resort in Key West ("A Waldorf Astoria Collection Hotel" ) was NOT as good as expected for the prime cost charged - For starters, the shower had no curtain whatsoever -I cannot understand how maintenance could leave something so important out when completing room checkup. Toiletries -such as shampoo, that are replaced once you start the bottle, […] was never provided. The most problematic item with our stay at The Reach Resort and hard to understand is that the king size mattress was sagging on one side and consequently difficult to get a good night's sleep, having to move over to the sofa... to top it off the extra thermal blanket used in the sofa was never folded. It also appears that an extra small amount (not authorized or a valid transaction) was charged to our credit card after we checked out. Opholdet var rigtigt godt, hvis man ser bort fra den service vi oplevede i hotellets reception. Restauranten og pool service var der ikke en finger at sætte på, de var utroligt imødekommende og flinke. Vi fik den service vi kunne forvente på dette hotel, så alt i alt var vi meget begejstrede for denne del af hotellet. Desværre fik vi så dårlig vejledning […] og service i receptionen. På ankomst dagen spørger vi hvad trådløst internet koster og vi får at vide dette er gratis. Receptionisten er ellers ikke meget meddelsom, og således fik vi ingen informationer om hotellets faciliterer blandt andet hvor man kunne købe morgenmad på hotellet. Da vi tjekker ud viser det sig at skal vi betale et fee for daglig service, blandt andet internet og håndklæder ved poolen. Vores ophold var forudbetalt og derfor synes vi det var irriterende at de ikke havde oplyst os om denne betaling da vi ankom, specielt fordi vi specifikt havde forspurgt omkring dette.
