"The beds could have been better"
The stay was OK overall. We only had 2 main issues with the room. (1) The toilet was not bolted to the bayjroom floor, every time we would lean over to wipe our butt the toilet would tilt as well. The toilet had a huge amount of caulk around the base , I guess to hold it down, which didn't work. I guess maintenance was to lazy to attach the toilet to […] the floor like it was suppose to. (2) When we arrived home our hip joints were killing us due to the bed we slept on at the hotel for 3 days. It was hard as a brick. "Convenient access"
Was struck by overpowering scented air "freshener" upon entering the lobby. The hallway outside the bedroom was a bit better, but there seemed to be traces of cigarette smoke underlying. "Unmet Expectations"
I had booked a room that had 2 queen beds, upon arrival, I had 1 king size bed. The hotel did offer me an additional room, but that would have put 2 12 yr olds in a room by themselves, which was not OK. I asked for a rollaway bed. When I set up the bed, the sheets were huge (king size) for a twin rollaway. The front desk said that was an oversight on […] their part as they did not order sheets for the rollaways. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling about a foot. The staff was very nice. The continental breakfast was delish! "Not worth the money"
Great location with nice people working at the front desk cannot make-up for a average at best hotel. This hotel is not worth the almost rate per night rate. Will not go back. Poor choice. "Nice Night, not very kid friendly."
We were there for a weekend baseball tournament. Checked in around 9 pm, it was 90 degrees and humid outside, and we walked into our room and it was an oven. The AC was off and it took over two hours to cool off, so when we went to bed, we were sweaty and hot. THere are NO kids channels on the tv, no Disney, no Nickelodeon, etc.....so the kids had limited […] channels. We were on floor 2, it said there was a ice machine on there, there wasn't. We had to go down stairs for ice. Then tried to turn TV on, however the remote batteries were dead. I called, and they said no problem, come down and get some new ones......so I waited till the morning because wasn't going to leave my kids alone sleeping......It was a nice hotel if you are just traveling, and need a quick night. "weekend Getaway"
Hotel is not bad. Very close to good sit down restaurants. There is one right next door actually. It is also close to local grocery. Not as updated as the area that it's in. So the pics on the site are exactly what it looks like except they do have flat screen TV's. Front desk clerk informed us that they will be renovating soon. It was very quiet at […] the hotel. Liked that there was a frig available. King size bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping kept us fully stock on the things we need. They did offer breakfast but we never got up in time for that. So I can not rate that. One down side was that the wireless connect was kind of slow and the lobby smelled like smoke. Don't worry the rooms did not! Other than that not bad for the price. "Not impressed."
There was a pool party going on one night until 3 in the morning. There were 20 guests out there. When aske to keep the noise down they just hollered all the louder. The person working didn't get my back either. I complained the next day, but the manager never called me back. I will never stay their again.
