This Hyatt Hotel is located in suburban Richardson on the border of Plano, just off I-75. The hotel is 15 miles from downtown Dallas and 8 miles from Addison. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle that transports guests to attractions within a 5-mile radius (on request).
A 2-story lobby displays marble floors and a baby grand piano. Boots & Brix, the on-site Texas chophouse, features daily cooked-to-order breakfast and lunch, and steaks for dinner. The 701 Bar and Grill offers appetizers and drinks. Special events are hosted at the 7,800-square foot ballroom, complete with event catering and Texenter, a 24-hour business center. 15,000 square feet of meeting space includes 17 conference rooms and high-speed Internet access.
A sundeck and spa tub flanks an outdoor pool. The 24-hour fitness center overlooks the pool and offers cardiovascular equipment and weight machines. A 24-hour roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a fee (advanced notice required). Outdoor parking is free.
Each of the 342 guestrooms is furnished with leather headboards, triple sheeting with 300-thread count linens, and pillowtop mattresses. Business travel is accommodated with oversized desks, ergonomic chairs and office supplies. All rooms offer wireless Internet access (surcharge) and iPod docking stations. Black-granite bathrooms provide Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Weekday newspaper delivery is complimentary. Rollaway beds and turndown service are available upon request.

"Hyatt name but not not the quality"
I booked this hotel because it was supposed to be close to 3 forks resturant and it wasn't in fact it was not close to anything. It was very expensive and it didn't have any amenities like most Hyatt hotels. Ie. no vallet, no indoor pool, no coffee in the mornings. "Not kid friendly at 2:30am"
Arrived at 2:30am for check in and there looked to have been a party, vomit on the floor, 1/2 empty alcoholic drinks placed all over the lobby, and in restroom. Would not have paid much attention to it except for my 3 year old trying to drink someone's frozen strawberry margarita. Room was very nice and clean, as was the rest of the hotel, lobby was […] cleaned up however come 6am, as if the night before had never happened. The breakfast Buffett was a little pricy, $15 per person, but was delicious, room service is expensive like any where. I stayed here then stayed at the Gaylord Grapevine the next night. My room at the Hyatt Regency was nicer, cleaner and quieter than my room at the Gaylord! "Lack of Privacy"
Our room was connected to another room through a locked doorway. There is no sound barrier between this door and we could hear every word the guests in the room next to us said. It made my husband and I feel that we couldn't talk to each other unless we were whispering because we didn't want our "neighbors" to here us. The water was not fit to shower in. I was forced to use a bottle of pure water. "nice stay, but fix the ice machines, please"
The best part of your hotel service came from the room service staff. The 2 gentlemen I dealt with were extremely polite & considerate. Those at the desk staff were polite, but failed to communicate to me that there were several ice machines that were out of service (in fact, they were missing altogether!). I was frustrated after traveling one floor […] up, then one floor down and finding no ice machine 3 floors in a row. When I called the front desk, the young lady I spoke with was a bit sarcastic when I was surprised that the closest ice machine was on the 12th floor (I'd been placed on the 15th). I did not expect room service to deliver ice to me, but I did expect to be told upon check-in that the machine on my floor was out of service. Not only that, but I expected to be told where the closest one was. This seems like a small thing, but for a mom just taking a weekend away for rest & relaxation, it became a larger frustration, especially when all frustration could have been avoided from the beginning with just one communication from the front desk. The lady who checked me in was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave me very good directions and recommendations for dining and shopping. Our room was wonderful, clean and comfortable. I was disappointed with our wait staff at breakfast, a little condescending and didn't come back for coffee refills. At the price they charged for a continental breakfast […] buffet, I would have liked a second cup of coffee, and when I went to the coffee bar to get myself a refill everything was empty. Since use of their wi-fi was not free, at check-out I mentioned a road I was looking for. While they did let me know there was not an exit for the road off the local freeway, they did not mention that the road was only one block away. Honestly, had the staff been a little friendlier and more helpful in the morning, I would have given this hotel a five for overall satisfaction.
