"Great Hotel for a Marathoner"
I just had a one night stay prior to running the Cape Cod Marathon. There is plenty of parking, the hotel buildings are close togther, so easy to get to the morning breakfast room. The breakfast area was roomy, clean, and well stocked with food and juices for a good breakfast. The hotel was sold out that night, but I never heard traffic in the hallways […] or any noises throughout the night, got a good nights sleep, just what I was looking for. The front desk staff gave us a good recommendation for a good carbo loading meal of pasta at the Stone Lovin Pizza Restaurant about a mile down the street on the Flamouth town green. "Convenient for family wedding"
I have stayed at this hotel before. It was the only hotel available for a family wedding. it was clean and beds were comfortable. I didn't like the steps outside the room and also at the exit doors. The shower was good, but there was no shelf for shampoo, etc, in the enclosure. The room was spacious and the iron and ironing board were a plus. "good for one/two night stay"
It was good for the one night we stood there.. no longer then two days would I stay.. I would suggest you bring your own towels the one there are like sand paper.. "Not adult friendly or for business travelers."
The only saving grace for our stay was that we had a jacuzzi in our room. We were unable to use the indoor pool as it was full of unruly kids at 8:00 pm splashing and screaming. The guest information said that between 8:00 & 9:00 pm were for adults. When we asked the woman at the desk she said that was the old owners rules. She wasn't very helpful. […] I also told her that we were unable to access wi-fi in our room; she said they don't guarantee it in our room, only in the lobby. "Addressing safety issues is needed"
The upstairs bedroom was like an oven when we arrived. We figured out how to turn on the free standing airconditioner and fan, but it wasn't the best system for really cooling and dehumidifying the upstairs bedroom. There were two safety issues in the motel that should be addressed. "In need of repair."
I chose this hotel because it was inexpensive. Because I was going to be at a wedding, I didn't need something super nice as I wasn't really going to be there. I've stayed in a lot of cheep hotels but this one was among one of the lowest IMHO. The room I stayed in did not have weather stripping to the outside deck - light could clearly be seen coming […] through the door. The evenings were quite cold and I had to use duck tape to cover the door crack so as to keep the room at a comfortable temp. The bathroom was clean enough for my standards but it was clear that the bedside table had not been wiped clean for a while as there was sticky residue of something along the corner of it. I could not use the phone to call the front desk because the key pad was sun bleached so badly I could not tell what any button was. It is clear this is an older hotel and in need of repair. For the price i payed they should have payed me to stay there the soda machines were broken the ice from the ice machines came out dirty and with some rust it took atleast a good 10 minutes for the hot water to run and actualy get hot water.
