Very nice. Impressive size for the price. We are from San Diego, but will stay here again the next time we find ourselves in the beautiful Carolina's.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Awesome resort and very convenient location"
We rented a condo on the beach with ocean view. The condo was nice apart from the beds that were extremely uncomfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great beach-front hotel"
The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. The views were nice and the beach and pools were right in front of our room. Wish the weather was warmer but otherwise it was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to relax and catch up with family"
Very relaxing stay. Attended a wedding which the events team and F&B handled very well. Service was overall good, although the housekeeping staff had a hard time understanding our needs despite multiple attempts to explain ourselves. Location of resort makes it really difficult for cell coverage - I had no service most of the time - but this makes it […] a great place to go if you really want to get away. The walls were thin in The Village and we could hear sounds easily in the hall from our living room area. Did not prevent some good rest and relaxation though. "Awesome Resort - Carpet Needs Cleaning"
The carpet in the bedrooms and the upholstery of the living room furniture need to be cleaned....desperately (Room 302G - A 2 bedroom condo in Village Gardens. Otherwise, awesome! We stayed here 2 years ago and had no complaints at all. They have added another pool outside the Village Gardens which has a zero entry...can't wait to try that out when […] it's warmer! "Bring your own food"
We were very pleased with every aspect of our meal except for one: our dinner! I mean everyone treated us like royalty and like VIP's while we were there. The problems with our dining experience were as follows: Not enough places to choose from, called and got a reservation for first available and told it would be 45 minutes, waited at least 30 minutes […] after that and heard others complaining about the same, heard another couple order 3 things that they came back and told they were out, limited selection and I thought it was very over priced, and much of our food tasted bad with a strange smell/after taste. Got to the restaurant at 8 and left finally at 10:30. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great...however"
The location and facility are very nice. Th biggest problem we had was that my wife and I arrived on a Friday for a nice, romantic 3-day weekend. The reservation we made said we would receive a King bed, however, we not only got a room with two doubles, but it was in the corner on the first floor with essentially no view. All of this is fine if the […] hotel was completely booked, however, the parking lot was not full, and we never encountered lines--we did not believe that the hotel was so crowded that we should not have received a much nicer room. At least one that fulfilled the promise of the original booking. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great home for a family"
The home we rented was in the villages at Isle of Palms Resort. It was very comfortable and super for a family as it had lots of sitting areas and a really nice view of a pond. It was well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans and there was an abundance of sleeping areas. Would highly recommend!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Very nice experience for my husband and I."
This was a very nice experience never having stayed in a condo unit before, always a hotel room. We found it was much like having a suite with two TV's, large bedroom, very large living room and a sizeable lanai. We had a couple of maintenance issues and they sent someone over to fix them within 10 minutes, very friendly and experienced. All the amenities […] like shampoo, soap, coffee were there, plus what I NEVER get enough of - coat hangers! Large bureau, sitting area in bedroom, couldn't have asked for more. We also had mid-week maid service because we stayed 7 nights. Totally equipped kitchen which we didn't use, but if someone wanted to it was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. "Condo's not so great. The Villages were awesome!"
The only reason this resort didn't get all "5's" was our first "condo" - Read on: Our “condo” was ~.75 miles north of the main check in: The building was called “Port O Call” – our room number was A 102. My wife used the restroom and promptly found hair under the hinge of the toilet and human hairballs behind the bathroom door. I investigated further […] and found more hair in the shower. Curry, the night manager showed up w/i the half-hour. He gave us a room upgrade. He carried our baggage back to his car, and lead us back the main buildings where we checked in. He lead us up to our room, 411B, in “The Village”. These are the newer high-rises you’ll check-in at. Compared to our “condo”, this was very nice. The second day we came back and our fridge had a bottle of Champagne and card. It was a hand-written letter from the “Village Concierge” once again apologizing for the inconvenience and congratulating us on our nuptials. The resort also comp’d us in two other ways: 1. A $100 credit for any use at the resort, which my wife used at the spa. 2. Food comp’s at the Sea Island Grill (no alcohol), which was also excellent. *** I cannot speak to as how our honeymoon would’ve been if we had not voiced our concerns over “Port O Call – Condominium A102”, but the room upgrade to “The Village” and treatment we received after the room upgrade was nothing less than outstanding and fabulous.*** Pro’s: Imagine a great resort staff, great honeymoon, great resort dining and wait staff. "End of summer respite"
We stayed in the Lagoon Villas, and while showing their age, the condo was comfortable and had all the necessities for our stay. Due to the time of year and it being a weekday, I had the swimming pool all to myself and enjoyed relaxing poolside.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beautiful facility and grounds. It was off-season so not busy or crowded which we appreciated. One drawback is no shopping or food nearby and prices on-site were high. Definitely recommend this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"mariners walk"
the ease of check in and the beach front upgrade. Very nice. Only bad thing is I was told when I booked the room, I would be able to ride my Motorcycle, which I hauled down, thank goodness, for when I arrived they told me it was gated and i could not ride it on property. This was the main reason for the trip, to ride my HD and tour the island(s). Only […] one day ride so sad. However, with that said, I will stay agian. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very comfortable resort"
Stayed here to attend a wedding. Stayed both at the Boardwalk Inn as well as in one of the Boardwalk homes with friends. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The resort is big but not fancy, which I liked. It is about half an hour outside of Charleston, so it takes some planning to go into the city. Really enjoyed the view, access to beach. Couldnt have been happier. The place was clean, it was a condo with kitchenette so you did your own cleaning, own washer, dryer.. Great location on the beach, rate was good for a 2 bedroom beach view. "very near the beach"
Our stay was great. However, there were room issues that were a distraction. There was no internet capability. Initially, there was no TV. The clothes dryer would barely dry due to a possible stopped-up exhaust pipe. On the last day a small leak developed in the master bedroom ceiling. There was a great deal of rain during our visit which may have somewhat […] flooded the room above us. I believe that room was empty. A technician came the first day to check the internet and TV. Wild Dunes is a beautiful resort and our condo was tastefully decorated and well appointed! Right on the ocean! Wish we could see on a map where condo is located before/when making reservations. "Very nice resort, just not what we prefer"
Very nice resort. Staff was very friendly and offered to help. They were not the most knowledgeable though. No microwave in room was disappointing. I asked for one but was told it was a fire hazard. Uhh, ok? Booked two queens but got a king and a pull out couch. They offered to switch me the next day but we didn't want the hassle. Pull out not comfortable. […] Little bit of a walk to the beach from the hotel. Not as close as they made it seem. Not all that bad but a bit disappointed. Would be great for golf and tennis if you are in to that. Probably won't go back. Just a preference. For what we wanted, a condo may have been a better choice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Upon registering at the hotel, I was not provided the room that I requested and assured I would get from Expedia. "Great Resort"
We totally enjoyed our stay at Wild Dunes. There was a problem with our reservation when we checked in, but it was cleared up very quickly. The room was clean and I loved the atmosphere of the Village. I only have two complaints. For some reason, and it may have been because of the reservation mix-up, we didn't receive housekeeping service on our first […] day. On subsequent days, the housekeeping service was good, but they didn't replenish all of our supplies. Secondly, we would have liked to have had a couple of comfortable "reading" chairs in the room. It was decorated beautifully, but the chairs that were there weren't they type you could sit in and relax. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

While I enjoyed my stay, I was disappointed that when the reservations were made I was not informed how far away the condos were from the swimming pool areas. "Memorial weekend 2012"
The beach is very nice and wide, and it was just a little walk from our condo. The drive to Charleston was only 20 minutes and we ran in there each day after the beach for tours and amazing food! Very nice area, great for families. Condo has a great location. For beach front property it was very nice place. Beach was nice, we had the unfortunate windy weather at the time of our visit. "Great Trip"
Wild Dunes is a wonderful facility. We were upgraded to a beach view when we checked in. The Villa was a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. It had a screened porch with a total view of the ocean and a resident's board walk to the beach right from the porch. We would go back again any time. There are lots of things to do at Wild Dunes besides […] walks on the beach. They have golf, tennis, bike rentals, restaurants, pools and a few shops. We took advantage of the bike/walking paths that run all through the complex. Depending on what you are looking for, you can stay in condos, town houses, hotel rooms, etc. Great Trip!
