I've stayed in this hotel twice. Once recently and before about 10 years ago. They changed everything for the better! All the renovations they made to... this place make it look awesome. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. The only thing I didn't like was I couldn't control the heat in my room. When I called the desk and asked if they could teach me, they offered to bring me a heater instead...and sure enough within seconds someone was at my door with a heater that was more than adequate! The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was just ok. It's nice that there were restaurants and a Starbucks close by, but venture much further and downtown Birmingham is not so nice. Definitely don't walk around by yourself at night.

We are very pleased to have stayed at Hotel Highland. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was great. The area was perfect. Lots of thigs in walking distance. Great area restaurants. You will be plaeased if you stay here.
