This was the first time staying at the Magnolia. Overall, it was a nice visit. The staff was kind and friendly and the rooms are very nice. The only suggestion I have is to upgrade the beds, they are fairly uncomfortable. They are a little hard. For the price paid, I did expect more from the bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Hotel, Bad Beds"
It's a nice hotel with great guest services like free drinks, breakfast, cookies, etc., but for as much as you pay a night you'd expect better beds. Best Westerns have much better beds and for half the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great stay overall. Bathrooms need some work though! Loose tiles on the floor, no fan, the door didn't lock...simple things.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect! In the middle of everything!"
We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The location was great, we were close to the ball park and shopping. We stayed for three days and always found things to do. Everything was within walking distance. Literally in the middle of Downtown Denver. We had a phenomenal time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Magnolia was a beautiful hotel. It had glamorous old time charm with modern conveniences. The bar down stairs, Harry's, was very charming and the free breakfast was delicious. I am sad to say that I did not get a chance to enjoy the complimentary beer and wine or the complimentary milk and cookies...maybe next time. The Magnolia was within walking […] distance of everything downtown. The only down side was perhaps parking-kind of expensive (but what do you expect in the city). The space in the suite was fantastic. Room service was good and affordable. The free breakfast was your typical buffet...cold eggs. It would make a world of difference if they had a microwave. As stated in other reviews, the cleaning crew does not clean. They empty trash & replace towels...that's it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Magnolia Hotel. Everything was perfect. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast, happy hour and milk and cookies were an awesome feature and cool surprise. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially when you go through Hotels.com and get such a fantastic deal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The lounge downstairs was awesome. Happy hour provided free drinks and an awesome pool table. Chic decor. The room was clean and comfortable and also chic. Location you can't beat. Free breakfast that was actually good too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Heart of Downtown Denver"
My husband and I stayed here and loved it. It was within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go in the city. The staff was friendly. You could not ask for a better location at this price. The part we loved most was the lounge downstairs. We are not normally the types to sit in a lounge...but that is where breakfast, happy hour and milk & cookies […] were served. My husband and I found the lounge to be super comfy and fun for people watching and reviewing or planning our day. There were a few cons...weird lighting in the room, etc but nothing we'd complain about. Except one thing...the smell of bacon. By the end of our trip we dubbed this "Hotel Bacon" because the smell was permeating everything in our room. In fairness it may have just been our room. But the halls smelled like bacon as well. We didn't mind because we love bacon. But if I were a vegan or vegetarian it might really have bothered me. But overall everything was great and we would come back in a heartbeat. Beautiful rooms and wonderful breakfast! Could have been a little cleaner in the bedroom. One spot on the bottom sheet. Something smeared on the light switch. Beautiful, quiet and relaxing for sure. Will definitely be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The deluxe room only seemed to be an upgraded desk, but no biggie. The cookies at the evening "cookies and milk" were super yummy! The breakfast was pretty good, better than I expected for a buffet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"AWESOME! Want to stay again"
The staff at the Magnolia are superb! Helpful in everyway with personality. The hotel itself is historic feeling but very comfortable. We loved it so much we stayed another night!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great downtown hotel"
This is the second time we've stayed at the Magnolia and we love it. The amenities are amazing (free complete breakfast, complimentary happy hour, complimentary milk and cookies, hotel car to drive places for gratuities.) We stayed in a king suite and it was beautifully appointed. The staff were friendly, attentive, helpful. Will definitely be going […] back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Two thumbs up for this hotel. The food was wonderful, the staff was super, the location was in a great location! Loved every single minute of our 2 day stay! The wine/beer reception was great, but best part was milk and cookies before bed!! Definitely going to stay again in the future!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"This is the one!"
My husband and I stayed at the Magnolia for our six year anniversary, neither of us had really seen much of Denver before. Our stay at the Magnolia was absolutely exceptional from the minute we pulled into the hotel. The staff were all very friendly, approachable, and informative of things to do in the area. The hotel as well as our room was very clean […] and comfortable. The hotel had a very homey type feeling. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and their was quite a variety of food an beverages to choose from. The complimentary drinks in the evening were appreciated and the atmosphere in the lounge was relaxing. The hotel is located around the block from 16th Street Mall, making everything conveniently in walking distance. We stayed at the Magnolia for two nights and had a wonderful time. It was not long before we headed back home to Pueblo, that we were already missing our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel for any type of trip and my husband and I definitely can't wait to be quests of the Magnolia again soon! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is well above it's competitors in Downtown Denver. Very nice amenities. We had a service issued with housekeeping. I made one phone call and the issue was corrected and they left a note aoplogizing. The service was excellent and we felt very comfortable there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stay for Fest"
Nice place to stay overnight after a festival in Denver. Pro's: Great amenities of evening reception, cookies and breakfast. Great service especially from valet. Con's: hard mattress on bed and ice machine only on 1st floor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Magnolia Hotel Denver Thanks for writing a review about your stay. You mentioned what you liked and what you found lacking and that helps us identify ways to improve services. Next time your with us - holler downstairs, we got the ice and ways to find you a mattress you like. Best, Ryan
"Get parking lot validation"
The room was really small for the price I paid. The parking lot was the worst thing of all. We paid for valet and had to pay for our car to be in the lot. Whichs was an additional 39 for our trip. On top of that a clerk miss informed us that the hotel did validate parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Magnolia Hotel Denver Dear Germaine, Thanks for reviewing your stay with us, your concerns in regards to parking and price have been noted. You're welcome back anytime and we appreciate your business. Regards, Ryan
"Great room for good price!"
When I made our reservation, I didn't get the most expensive room by any means. I was shocked when we arrived and it was the king-size suite! I doubled checked the reservation and apparently their rooms are just that reasonable. Our TV broke and maintenance was up within minutes to check it. Luckily we had two TVs in the room too. They were friendly […] and professional. The Bar&Grill was the only thing we weren't totally pleased with. It was very expensive for what it was. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We appreciate everything and hope to have you back. Best, Ryan
"Will Be Back"
I'd recommend this to any outta towner or natives who want a romantic getaway. Great room, great views, I sprung for the fireplace. The happy hour and cookies are great, the lobby and bar are great. The included breakfast was a biiiiiit sad in comparison though. All in all GREAT experience here. Thanks!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Magnolia Hotel Denver Dear Rob, You dug the feel, the ambiance, the amenities, and the bar, but breakfast was not up to snuff for you. that's cool. Unfortunately, without anything specific to mention, I'll only be able to tell our chefs that someone thought breakfast was sad. While we work on getting our breakfast some positive psychological help, you work on coming back to us. We'll have all you love, plus a radiantly happy breakfast. Cheers, Ryan
I booked this hotel for a romantic night out. It was wonderful everything except Slight street noise was great. We had a great time. The cookies and milk was a nice touch. We will definetly book this hotel again for our short getawaysGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice, older hotel. Free wine and beer til 6pm. Stick with the beer. Great buffet breakfast included. Easy access to bus and rail system. Concierge was knowledgable and friendly. If you want a view of the city, make sure you ask for a room with a view.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful stay. My room was not available upon check-in however they upgraded me for no charge to a suite. Fabulous. The pillows were a little too soft for my liking. I stayed on a holiday weekend, and the listed breakfast was listed for the day before check in not the day of. So I ended up missing the breakfast in the morning. They also had a free […] cocktail hour which was fantastic, try their house Pinot grisio its fantastic. However the cookies and milk bar was shut down over an hour early. There are unfortunate exceptions so show up early if you're looking forward to it. Other than that the dining options are great, but the hallways and elevator sometimes smells of cooking oil. "Amazing Location and very Trendy"
The Hotel itself is amazing. The staff was on point with everything we requested. The parking was a bit off, but we just valeted so we didn't have to deal with it. Lobby is a little off putting from the size, but there is an entire downstairs lobby area that is AMAZING. Room was on point with everything they described. Didn't order food so I can't comment […] on that. The girlfriend was thoroughly impressed and loved it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Classy old hotel"
The rooms in this classy old hotel are large with high ceilings. The lobby area has been updated to look very modern. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Located 1/2 block from the 16th Street Mall, it was very convenient to all the restaurants and shops.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would come again."
Instantly upgraded to a suite and the breakfast, cookies and hot chocolate were awesome!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Upon check in, we were upgraded to a "fireplace suite" for apparently no reason, then informed of free beer and wine, free cookies later, and free breakfast. This pleased us greatly. It is also super close to everything downtown. We have found our go-to hotel in Denver.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Nice Ambiance"
I really like the atmosphere and the location of the hotel. It made it very accessible to tour around Downtown Denver. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect downtown location"
Stayed four nights at the Magnolia. We were upgraded to a suite, which was clean and roomy. Fridge and microwave were useful. The Magnolia offers a happy hour with free beer/wine for one hour nightly. Harry's bar downstairs is a great place to start your evening. The windows of the room are not soundproofed, so there is some traffice noise (6th floor). […] The best thing about the Magnolia is the location. We were within walking distance to Coor's Field, Pepsi Center, Sports Authority Field, Downtown Aquarium. Hotel is one block away from shops, bars, etc on 16th St. Mall and the light rail system is right outside the door. No need for rental car if you you don't miind a bit of exercise. It was wonderful, walking distance to watch a Rockies game as well as walking distance to 16th street mall. Good times!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Supra-adequate downtown Denver accommodations."
Overall, we were pleased with the Magnolia, finding the accommodations more than adequate but not overwhelmingly impressive. The hotel is situated nicely near the 16th Street Mall and other downtown attractions. The common areas of the hotel were very nice, and the valet service was good. Having a hotel shuttle car was an added convenience for short […] trips, but be sure to check with the valet for its scheduled availability first. The complementary breakfast was on par with what one would get at a moderately priced restaurant, so we took advantage, eating there every morning. The complementary beer/wine reception was also an appreciated amenity. On the negative side, the standard room was somewhat small, the room's lighting was poor (CFLs throughout and in the bathroom), and there was an occasional slight sewage odor emanating from the bathroom or toilet. Towels were also an issue; they never seemed to replace washcloths and we had to request them from the front desk. Overall rating - 3.5 to 3.75 out of 5. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to getaway!"
All we can say is wow!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok, not great."
The hotel seems to do ok with what its got, meaning, it is an old dated hotel but they have done there best to make it hip and modern. It succeeds in the lobby but once you get into the rooms and bathrooms, you see that they didn't continue with renovations. Staff was very nice. A milk and cookie bar at night is a fun touch. Room was spacious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cute place, not too big, not too small"
Parking was GREAT, just $10 to park it yourself for the whole weekend. The hotel is just a block from the 16th St Mall. It's an old hotel but has been remodeled and looks terrific. Breakfast was super and the breakfast room itself is kind of artsy. Bed was firm (perfect for me). We would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I love the Mongolia. My boyfriend and i stayed there last year for his birthday. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay again. We live in Westminster. So we only live 15 min away. "Found a new gem in Denver"
First stay at the Magnolia was great. Room was fantastic. Plenty of room and great looking hotel. Kind of off the main clusters of hotels in downtown, but actually works out better than a few of the other hotels down there. I think we found a great new spot to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we expected for our honeymoon"
We spent quite a bit of money on this hotel for our honeymoon and were very disappointed. We had made a reservation 3 months before and when we arrived the front desk said the hotel was booked up and this was the only room they had left. The hotel room was very basic, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly and there were pieces of used floss on the […] floor and hair left over. The room was very dark as well as the bathroom. Honestly save your money! Or go to the four seasons ! The location was about the only good thing. For the money it is not worth it at all . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel. Well appointed room. Layout was a bit odd, but still a nice space. A positive experience all around though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed in downtown Denver many times but I have never had the pleasure of staying at the Magnolia. I booked the room as part of hotels.com hot deals. I was able to get a King Suite, which is essentially a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, separate living and dining room, bathroom, and bedroom. The rate was $179, which was a steal, considering […] most of the other surrounding hotels were at $200 and above for a regular room. They are a block from 16th Street Mall and within walking distance to many attractions. The service was great. Valet parking was an additional $26 a day, but you had in and out privileges. We loved the room so much we decided to stay an extra night and the rate was only $129. Room service was reasonable and the food was great. We plan to stay here again.
