"convenient for early flights at Denver Airport"
We have family of 5 and the suite worked out great for our needs. One night stay at tail end of ski trip to be able to catch a 7AM flight the next morning out of Denver Airport. Free and very reliable shuttle service. Great value; less than a daily lift ticket at most resorts plus a basic breakfast included starting at 5AM. One caution is to not use […] a cab service to go to any restaurants as Yellow Cab (both ways) had drivers that turned a 5 mile drive into a much longer ordeal and $55 fee EACH way. There are a few decent restaurants you can walk to at other nearby hotels so avoid the cabs (plus one of the drivers, originally from Ethiopia, admitted to his childhood plans to hijack an American Airlines plane out of Russia!) Breakfast selections are limited. Had to have key "renewed" half way through the stay. The room was clean and quiet. Small fridge was not cold but cooled quickly once the thermostat was set. Excellent value, 25% discount . Courteous helpful staff. Excellent free breakfast and free shuttle to and from airport. Secure (free) parking. The room had a few small problems: broken switch on exhaust fan in bathroom, only one sheet in the sofa bed "bedding kit", very thin wall between rooms -- we could hear conversations in next room, and they were […] using normal speaking voice. Their alarm woke us up at 4 AM, we did not need to get up until 5 AM, there were 5 adults in room, reservation made three days early, and only towels for 3 at check in. "Very Pleasant Hotel"
The appearance from the front and the lobby, etc were very clean and appealing. Staff was very helpful and the free shuttle was very much appreciated. Only problem I had was the bathtub needs a mat as the tub is very slick and I did fall in it but didn't hurt myself just some bruises and pulled muscles. "Book your shuttle early."
Checked in easily. Hotel staff pleasant, but not overly helpful. I called the morning we were to be checked in to book our shuttle ride for the next morning. I was told there was no need to book ahead as it would not be a problem. I insisted because of past experience. We were booked on an 0415 shuttle for an 0615 flight. Later, when we checked in, […] I asked if there was availability on the 0445 shuttle, as I did not want to wait any longer than necessary in the airport that early with three kids. I was then told "No, it's all booked up. ...huh?" I was glad we had called ahead for the shuttle that was available and wondered what if I hadn't. A plus was being able to check in for our flight the night before in the hotel and print our boarding passes for free (the last Marriott I stayed in charged by the minute for internet service and to print the passes).The room was clean and pleasant and very reasonable in price. "Unimpressed"
With the reputation of Marriott and the standard cost of this room, I expected better. When I arrived, the toilet, bathtub and floor of the bathroom had several hairs. It was late and I didn't have time to request it be cleaned, so I cleaned it myself and left a large tip for the maids, with the hopes it would be better the following day. The same hairs […] that had been on the floor were still there 24 hours later. I liked the layout of the suites, the bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent, but I could not get past the gross-out factor of a dirty bathroom. I would not stay here again. Nice hotel, great staff. Hotel was clean and spacious. Only thing was the bathroom amenities were skimpy or missing. TSA has prompted people to benefit by the small hotel sizes when travelling so it is necessary that they are made available. The shuttle was 10 minutes late, scheduled for 4:30 am, didn't show until 4:40, flight at 5.50am. We had carry […] on only so it didn't make a big difference, but it could have been ugly. Kind of stressful first thing in the day. We were able to leave our vehicle at the hotel for no charge which was a big plus as well. Ruby Tuesdays is right next door and the food there is good. My family (2 adults, 2 children) was returning from a ski trip, and we needed a hotel room for one night that was near the Denver airport. This hotel was convenient with restaurants within walking distance. (The restaurants also delivered for a fee.) Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious enough. Complimentary breakfast was good and […] had something for all of us. We were able to park very close to the front door which made it convenient to get our bags in and out. We had a little trouble locating the hotel but that could be because it was late and we were very unfamiliar with the area. The front entrance of the hotel was not easily locatable, but we found it. All of the staff from the front desk to the bar attendant were very nice, helpful, and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised with the small kitchenette […] and sitting areas in the room. And the bed was very comfortable. We did not eat at any of the restaurants as it was late, but there was a decent variety within a close proximity. We had a car, but I imagine the hotel would have shuttled guests to the restaurant if requested. If not, I don't think any eating establishment was more than a mile away from the hotel. We were experimenting with the park and fly option at the hotel vs. driving into town super early, parking at one of the airport lots and waiting for that shuttle to take us to the terminal. The convenience of the hotel shuttle alone made our decision worthwile. It paid off immensely for us with an early moring flight.
