This hotel room was quite possibly the smaller room I've ever seen in the US. I asked if there was a minibar and if I needed a key. I was told there was one but no key was needed. That is because it was a wicker basket with 2 diet Cokes, and several candy bars, and a few other snacks. There was no newspaper, no paper & pen, no pricing list for the mini-mini […] bar, no tv channel guide. The hotel it's self is hard to discern because there is no name on the front door. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. This was a double digit $ room that I paid in excess of 2??$. I was glad I waited before I booked my return night in Denver. Fitness center was under construction so the Inn arranged for guests to use the Kinetic gym next door. Rather than drive across town to a 24h Fitness (or some other pay-by-the-workout facility), I was able to see a personal trainer right next door - it was wonderful. "Run don't Walk from this Inn"
I called and spoke several times to the actual hotel staff before I booked my trip with Expedia. I told them it was a 50th bday get together and we wanted adjoining rooms and separate beds - there were four of us going. We get there and there is a $15.00 Special request charge for having queen beds in the two rooms, a $10.00/day parking fee in the most […] craziest parking lot I ever saw. I was never was told that. When I get there they said they dont have adjoining rooms - they have rooms next to one another (well aren't all hotel rooms next to one another?) They were so clueless every time we asked them even the simplest tourist question. When I sat in the business office which consisted of a MAC computer on a table in the small lobby, I heard the hotel staff person talk to person after person who called or stopped by the desk about the surprise "fees" - so obviously I wasnt the only one. I asked for the general manager to contact me from minute one that I got there until I left and I was told "she'll call you" but that never happened. The air conditioning didnt work. Every morning- even Sunday morning, there was leaf blowing in the parking lot across the street- as early as 4:30AM, and construction. Very noisy in the room since you are right at street level. Very nice restaurant, albeit relaxed breakfast hours - earlier would be better if even for coffee. Strange shower configuration, standup and open with a shower curtain that doesn't reach the floor and prevent spillage into the bathroom itself. I booked my parents at this location for a 4 night visit. The location was convenient for them, both for access to my house as well as local amenities. The hotel is in a quiet location and isolated from busy streets. Understated entry is easy to miss. The room was disappointing for a couple of reasons. The view was of a concrete block wall and some […] rooftop mechanical equipment for the neighboring building. The room was quaint...clean, but had almost no character. The walls were bare - not even a headboard for the bed. No art. It felt like a dorm room in that respect even though it's in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Denver. Bathroom was clean and roomy - but almost felt like it was an ADA compliant bathroom - not a typical guest bathroom. "Housing Patients Here!"
This Hotel is housing plastic surgery patients. They do not or care to tell you this. I personally had to call the police. The woman working on Feb 19,2011 would not make the call. There was a woman crying right next door to me. She was pleading and crying for help. I had no idea at the time where the voice was coming from. I checked inside and out. […] Thats when I had my encounter with the hotel employee. Called the front desk told her to call 911. That they had a woman in distress in room 410. I was in 411. She shows up on the floor w/o calling 911. I know this because I called 911. They had no report for The Inn @ Cherry Creek. Nice real nice! I am a retired Deputy Sheriff from Long Island New York. I could not believe this garbage. Now the police show up and the front door is locked. She finally tells the cops that they house patients here. What is that all about.
