Locals joke that the Denver International Airport is a shopping mall with a runway. Roughly 80 retailers and restaurants do business at the airport, one of the nation’s busiest. Located 15 miles east of downtown, the airport area caters to travelers who have early or late flights. Nearby, environmental work is helping turn the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge into an urban oasis.

Room was clean, but the room is older and a bit dated. Bed was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quick stay"
The location was convenient given that I needed to stay somewhere close to the airport since my flight arrived so late, I just wanted to get somewhere and rest. They have shuttle service but when I called to request it they said the driver had a family emergency. I ended up having to take a cab but they did reimburse me for the cost, so I appreciated […] that. The room was clean, the lobby was okay and they had plenty of breakfast snacks. It was fine for a quick stay and a good night's sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"fine for one night"
My family of 5 stayed here so that we could catch a 6am flight. There was a pad in the bay window that we used as a 3rd "bed" for our youngest. The free breakfast started at 4am and included a belgian waffle machine!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good gateway to DIA"
Pros: Good service Comfortable beds Quiet Clean Cons: A little shabby Tiny breakfast area with limited selection We stayed in this hotel twice in one long weekend. We got in late Thursday night before an early flight Friday, then arrived here again after a late Monday flight and stayed the night before heading home Tuesday morning. We were pleased […] with the service and cleanliness both times. The breakfast was well stocked at 5 am the first time, but many of the (already limited) options were low or gone when we got breakfast at 8:30 on Tuesday morning, with no apparent intention of them being refilled. That having been said, we were fine with the quality received for the price we paid and would stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I was looking for a good rate on a hotel close to the airport as I was flying out first thing the following morning. I found it in this hotel. Personnel was polite and helpful and the room was clean and provided what I needed for my stay. I was offered a shuttle to the airport more than once and the continental breakfast was available much earlier than […] I have seen elsewhere. This afforded me the opportunity to eat something before I had to purchase food at airport prices. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Helpful staff, rooms need help"
This was my second stay at this hotel. The fist time I stayed, which was on the first floor the room was bright, clean and spacious. This time I was in a second floor room and the room was worn looking and lacked a refrig and micro. I will be staying again this weekend. I asked for a first floor room. The price and location was excellent. Eight minutes […] from the airport, good resturants and it was right of of Penna Blvd. For staying overnight to get a 6:00a.m. flight, it is worth it. "No Sleep"
First night the room alarm went off around 3:30 am. Maids forgot to check it from previous guest. Second night the alarm went off in empty room next to ours at 3am. Had to call front desk to get someone to turn it off after 30 minutes. Won't be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs to be updated"
Our stay was okay for its purpose which was just one night to be near the airport. However, there were some issues. When we arrived, the desk clerk was speaking with another employee who was dressed inappropriately (skin tight jeans, and a ripped shirt that showed skin). She then got a call on her walkie talkie from the airport shuttle driver who was […] complaining about not finding a customer. Her response was, "I'm not going to deal with that now. I just got off a 10-hour shift in the bus. Let him deal with it." The hallways and public areas were smelly and run-down. The carpeting was stained also. The room itself was adequate, but nothing special. The worst part of the stay was the breakfast. When we went downstairs (at 8 am - still early), there was hardly any food available. The milk and OJ containers looked dirty. The coffee was terrible. There were only 3 tables. We ended up eating breakfast at a nearby diner, which added $45 to our stay. It wasn't the worst place I've ever been, but I would not recommend the place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent choice"
I was hesitant about reserving a room in this hotel because of the bad reviews. My first reaction is, the people who wrote the reviews must have stayed a a different hotel. The desk service was excellent, the room bright and clean, the towels were thick and fluffy and it was nine minutes from the Denver airport. I will now stay at this hotel when I […] fly out of DEN. the cost is much less than Comfort Inn and Choice Hotel and the room was cleaner and brighter.. Best of all was the 4:00am breakfast. I had one complain, the guests did not clean up after themselves when they finished breakfast.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"One of Good hotels"
nice ,economy good hotel with all comfortsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel room I was originally booked into smelled of smoke. Instead of immediately offering me another room I was handed a spray bottle to get rid of the odor. I then asked for another room and it was given to me. The breakfast buffet seemed nice and opened at 4 a.m. (a treat for my early flight departure). Overall the experience was a great one […] once I got to sleep in a non-smoky room. Can't beat the price. I called directly to the hotel also and found out about a parking plan that was cheaper than the "normal" parking lot I use. Overall I would go back again -especially when just needing a place to lay my head! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was fine, but I didn't get the wake-up call I requested. I had a backup on my phone, and that was OK.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Value"
I love the window bed. Helps when you have 3 children. Everyone was excited to see the breakfast buffet had belgium waffles. The other Microtel we stayed at only had a dry breakfast. It was a 30 minute drive to every where we had to go. The public restroom was closed and the toliet in our room overflowed. Apparently they were having a problem. The staff […] quickly came to take care of it. We were checking out and just got out of the way. Outside of this problem I would definately recommended this MicroTel Inn. overall the room was very clean, but very small.. good place to stay if you are traveling light.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"shared shuttle allow at least an extra hour"
Microtel has dropped thier private shuttle and now use Super Shuttle. Big Mistake. They are unreliable. We scheduled the shuttle for 3:15, got to the lobby at 3:10 and waited until the shuttle showed up at 4:00. Rooms are average, but next time I will stay at a hotel that has thier own transportationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Microtell Inn at DIA"
Very easy to get to and from the airport terminals. Also close to downtown attractions with a more quiet setting. The room was clean and comfortable and would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasantly Surprised"
The receptionist was extremely nice and seemed very happy. Our room was very clean, and the beds were really comfortable for what we paid for the room. Breakfast the following morning was pretty good, and it was nice to have it. I was pleasantly surprised, and would gladly stay there if we're ever in the area again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The shuttle was 45 minutes late picking us up from the Denver airport. The rooms are ok if you just need to stay overnight. Wouldn't recommend staying any longer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
