"Not really a suite"
We wanted a suite where the bedroom had a complete privacy door from the living room. The hotels.com representative confirmed that's what we would get. Upon check in we found that the hotel had very few of those rooms, which they considered a premium suite, not the standard "suite" they were trying to give us, which was really just a regular room with […] some decorative carpentry attempting to differentiate the seating area from the sleeping area. "Unscheduled Layover"
It all started and ended with the shuttle from and to the airport. The front desk clerk told us the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting in the cold the front desk explained that the delay was due to the shuttle waiting for a passenger to arrive on the other side of the terminal. When the shuttle finally arrived there was […] only one passenger onboard. I asked him how long he waited for the shuttle and he stated he waited 5 minutes for the shuttle to arrive and that the shuttle was not waiting on him. To make matters worse the shuttle driver, instead of apologizing, didn't say a word. He got out, opened the back door to the van for our luggage and walked away as if we were making his night difficult. To complicate matters the front desk clerk sent us to the wrong pickup location on the other side of the baggage terminal. When I questioned the clerk she stated that's where they send all Frontier passengers, which might make sense except all Frontier baggage is delivered on the opposite side of the terminal PLUS the man the shuttle picked up before us arrived on a Frontier flight and was picked up on the Frontier side of the terminal! The next morning we got the same shuttle driver for our return trip to the airport who once again did not say a word and simply opened the rear doors and walked away. This hotel was in a great location. The name is a bit misleading, as you aren't actually within sight if the airport, no plane noises, but it is a quick and easy drive there. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was much more than we expected, the lady in charge of the dining area made the stay worth it. Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Tiny room. The smallest suite I have ever stayed in. I just went on cross country road trip and this was by far the worst hotel of the 7 I stayed in! The room had not even been cleaned and when I complained, the people at the from desk did not even say "Sorry". We had to wait standing outside the room for 45 min […] waiting while it was cleaned. "Problems with shuttle service from DIA to hotel"
I was very dissatified with the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. First of all, the phone booth at the airport to access hotel service was not working. Secondly, when I called the hotel direct, I was instructed by front desk to take luggage to door 509 and wait approx. 15 min. for shuttle service. We took luggage off the conveyor at door […] 515 by baggage claim. We rushed to door 509 and waited at island 3 as instructed. The shuttle did not arrive within the 15min. After 30 min. wait, I called the hotel and asked about the shuttle service. I was told, "oh, the shuttle showed up early." I was upset because the driver did not take the time to circle around the airport to find us and just went back to hotel. The front desk asked to wait another 15 min. The shuttle finally arrived. As our luggage was being loaded, a lady with a baby asked the driver to wait for her husband. 15 more minutes passed, yet no husband. The other customer had not even picked up his luggage, but because the lady was standing by the bus, the driver waited. So you can imagine my frustration. Once the "husband" showed up, the lady walk back into the terminal with her baby and left. It is late, I am tired and hungry and diabetic if I may add. This was not a good experience. "Very clean and comfortable at great price"
We had just come off a 4 1/2 hour nightmare drive from Breckenridge to Denver through bad conditions and horrendous traffic. The kids were tired and cranky. So what a lovely surprise that check-in took less than 2 minutes and our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. "This hotel does not have "suites""
My reservation slip said I had a suite with two queen beds. When we got there, it was one room with a sitting area on one end. This is NOT a suite. We got a suite because we had three adults and two of us have trouble sleeping. Sure enough, my son couldn't sleep and had to go sit in the lobby and watch TV because we didn't have the suite we thought […] we had. "Just Decent - nothing amazing"
We were traveling in Co., and needed a place to stay the evening before we flew out. because we had our kids with us, we needed 2 beds and a pull out. They fit the bill. In retrospect, there were a couple other places that would have been $10-20 more and also worked. i think next time I will try them out. The hotel was clean, but dated. It was not really a suite; I expected a room for sleeping and a room with a hide-a-bed separated by more than a half-height wall. It was just one long room. "Great overnight comfort"
The hotel is on the older side but maintained well. The best part was the room: large with fold out couch and all the amenities. Not a huge fan of the continental breakfast routine but as good as any (I must say they generate a massive amount of garbage). Shuttle service was quick.
