McCormick's Fish House and Bar - Daily seafood specials are served for lunch and dinner weekdays in the wood-paneled dining room. Saturday lunch is served in the adjacent lounge, a lively bar frequented by locals and businesspeople. McCormick's Sunday brunch is also popular.
The Cruise Room - This sophisticated bar opened to much hoopla the day after Prohibition was repealed, and was renovated in 1933 to resemble a lounge on RMS Queen Mary. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains a popular downtown institution. Genuine Art-Deco decor and wall panels depict light-hearted "toasts" from around the world. Open late, serving from a full bar and upscale pub menu.
Guests have complimentary access to the Oxford Club Spa & Salon, that offers an ideal urban escape for men and women seeking relaxation and renewal. Inside an elegant Victorian building built in 1912 is a fitness club and a full service spa and salon that is open to the public. The downtown Denver spa and salon, the first in Denver, opened its doors in 1987 after award-winning preservationist and visionary Dana Crawford saw a need for an urban sanctuary.
The South Platte Valley, a sprawling area less than 1 mile northwest of downtown Denver, has a river lined with bike paths and parks. The 314-acre City Park, less than 5 miles from downtown, contains a golf course, tennis courts, horseshoes, baseball, football and soccer fields, two lakes, and picnic tables.
Summit County, a little more than an hour west of Denver, includes four popular ski areas: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin. The Ski Train takes skiers and sightseers from Union Station, across the street from the hotel, to Winter Park Resort on Fridays and weekends from December through April and Saturdays in summer.

Contemporary skyscrapers and the historic Lower Downtown (LoDo) make up downtown. Situated near Coors Field and the Pepsi Center, local bars and restaurants make LoDo the go-to place for Avalanche, Nuggets, and Rockies parties. The Denver Art Museum, Colorado History Museum, Denver Performing Arts Complex, and the I.M Pei-designed 16th Street Mall satisfy the desire for high culture and couture.

"Beautiful and clean"
Beautiful old, but well kept and clean hotel in the Lower Downtown area of Denver. Close proximity to everything. Staff were most helpful and kind. Very clean. Only complaint would be the poor water pressure from the shower and although the traffic noise was minimum, the noise from anyone talking in the hallway was very loud and transferred through […] the walls/door. Fortunately the hotel wasn't very full the night we stayed so not much people noise. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We registered as a party of two elderly adult men, and were given an inferior room at the very back of the hotel with a view of the air conditioners and parking garage, with a single queen bed for two adults. We were told that online reservations often yielded inferior results. The desk clerk (, female,) joked that we could get cuddley, because no other […] rooms were available since the hotel was busy. We were instead offered a rollaway bed. I was shocked by her attitude. No attempt was made to better accomodate us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Second time visit was as ideal and comfortable as the first. We will always return to the Oxford. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and very accommodating to the children. The ambiance for Christma season was expecially impressive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
