The hotel is being renovated, but most of the work was out of the public view.Parking is a nightmare as you cannot park within blocks overnight, forcing you to use the "Courtesy Valet" as the sign says. Found out during check out that "Courtesy" means $28 a night plus tip... Annoying, but you have no other option, just wish it was disclosed up front […] when I made the reservation. This may seem a bit petty to some but it irks me to no end that a hotel does not provide complimentary wireless service in the room. I travel frequently on business and it is a necessity. For a hotel that is centrally located in the downtown area of Denver that caters to what I am quite sure is a substantial business climete it is poor policy to charge […] a service fee for wireless. The Hotel was very impressive, however, we booked a single King Sized Bed and ended up with a double. We called the front desk and they switched us to a room with a pull out bed......the room was beautiful, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I wont be recommending this hotel any time soon.

The Grand Hyatt was a nice place to stay and a very good value. It is not a luxury five star hotel and not as high end as some of the other Grand Hyatt properties. I used this hotel since it was fairly close to the convention center. It was affordable, but not the cheapest option. It wasn't a bad stay, but a couple of things bugged me: - the advertised fridge wasn't really a fridge, just sort of a cooler. It sort of chilled drinks and such, but I was hesitant to leave milk in tehre for a long period of time. I […] ended up using the ice bucket and refilled the ice frequently. - the desk was a couple feet from the window - there was a pretty significant draft coming in at that location, so I was bundled up when doing work (and if I flipped to the other side of the desk, facing the window, I couldn't watch TV, but i did this a bit. - the worst part was that I had to pay for lousy wireless access. For a business hotel, this should come standard. Shouldn't have to think about it, even if this is embedded in the cost. On the plus side, the service was quite good. Overall, it wasn't a miserable experience, but I don't know that I would stay here again. Read more

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Denver on business and found this hotel to be the perfect venue for my stay in Denver. Very good location near 16th Street Mall, Starbucks at base of building, very fast room service (no need to wait long for food to arrive after placing order), very friendly hotel staff which is very much appreciated as you don't […] always encounter that. The hotel was also very accommodating on providing a room with a view as requested -- plus it was hypo-allergenic! Bill the evening shift manager upgraded me to a corner room which is spacious and very clean. The only downer is that the LCD TV had a lot of snow - static interference. Since I had checked in late and needed to get up early the next morning, I didn't bother to have it checked by a tech. I thought the location of the hotel may be a bit far from the 16th Street Mall but it was a nice walk for me as I am a hiker so I walked the 8 easy blocks to reach The Curtis - Denver Hotel where my meetings were being held. Room was very clean. The hotel was very quiet, even with a convention present. Nice pool and exercise room on the 4th floor. Very secure hotel. A room key is needed to access your floor with the elevator plus a nice size safe in the room perfect for laptop and more. Very nice above average hotel overall.

Most frustrating thing was using the hotel key to access each floor in elevator. Mine didn't work on multiple occassions causing me to 'ride' several trips before getting off to get the card re-configured.
