Contemporary skyscrapers and the historic Lower Downtown (LoDo) make up downtown. Situated near Coors Field and the Pepsi Center, local bars and restaurants make LoDo the go-to place for Avalanche, Nuggets, and Rockies parties. The Denver Art Museum, Colorado History Museum, Denver Performing Arts Complex, and the I.M Pei-designed 16th Street Mall satisfy the desire for high culture and couture.

From the first moment we walked in the woman at the front desk was rude, we had questions about the free shuttle services they offered, we have never been to.Denver so we were not sure how far things were out where to go. She acted as if we were bothering her with our questions & during her response mid-sentence she put her finger up to us and picked […] up the ringing phone, & proceeded to assist the caller while we stood there. We completed the check out & proceeded to our room using the only working elevator. Once we arrived to our outdated room, we start looking around, I go into the bathroom, there was a half empty till of toilet paper on the rod & tons of little black hair on the shower wall. we immediately called to.have the shower cleaned. we called the housekeeper she came up & cleaned the shower in the process she throws the dirty shower types on the clean bed, which we then requested be changed to fresh linens. once that hassle was over. we noticed that the refrigerator was making a horrible piping noise as if something was stuck. inside upon opening the fridge there was a horrible smell & strains from the previous guests item that had been left in there, the ac didn't work in the room luckily it was fresh so we were able to leave the window open for fresh air, we called front desk to let them know & no one came to fix during our stay...I wouldnot recommend this hotel to anyone!!! "Good base"
Decent enough. I did question the cleanliness of a few things, but I brought wipes with me... Shuttle to the city was a Godsend, as nothing but Bronco Stadium was in walking distance. Food at the hotel very good too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Over-rated"
It was rated 3 star but would rather stay in a Hampton Inn for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"would not stay there again"
I would not stay there again for the simple reason the internet connection sucked. half the time I could not connect and when I did connect it took 10-15 minutes of trying and trying until I finally got connected, then it would drop eventually. The other person staying with me had the same issues. Also, I also left my prescription glasses in the room. […] When I went in to ask I was told I needed to come back when the housekeeping manager was there. No offer to ask my name or contact me. I have been in twice now to try to get them with no luck. "Average"
My stay was o.k. Lots of noise - widows need to be sealed as lots of air could get through. The parking area needed to be plowed as snow filled the front parking spots. The room was average.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Housekeeping? who needs Housekeeping?"
Arrived in room and the dresser had not even been wiped down. One side had dried up toast on it and the other had remnants of drug use. Party! After inspection it appeared that only one bed had clean sheets. Lots of hairs and crumpled sheets. I thought the housekeeping may have overlooked cleaning but the toilet paper had its little v-fold, bedspreads […] were tight, and all else was in place. So the next day I did a test. I left some toothpaste on the basin and toilet and pulled the bedspread off that unclean bed. When I returned that night my marks had not been cleaned and the pub hair sheets were not changed and just covered over. I mean, a simple wipe would have done it. 2am fire alarm the next night, Motorcycle gang party the next. They needed two security guards in the elevators!! The party went through the night and into the halls. The cabs cant get you there cuz its crazy location and none could find it. You can see it, you just cant get there. It turned out to be faster to walk to downtown. Dont choose that option at nigth if you are female. One of my coworkers found a bone in his breakfast. at least its real meat I told him! He was grossed out and he is from Montana! Wind whipped through the closed windows and the "clean" bed of the two was crammed next to the window. But hey, the rate is cheap and just have a couple drinks before you head home at night!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Satisfied for the Price"
This hotel definitely needs a makeover -- the decor is dated and gives the hotel the impression of having seen better days (no flat screen TVS, dated bathrooms, pink and green marble tile in the lobby). The location isn't great for walking, so don't plan on staying here and walking downtown -- downtown is across a freeway and the neighborhood is a bit […] questionable (there's not much around except for an industrial-type area and the stadium. However, the free shuttle service was prompt and reliable, and my room was clean and comfortable for half the price of nicer hotels downtown. Hotel staff were also courteous and professional. If you can afford a nicer hotel and are looking for upscale lodgings, this isn't your place. But, if you're on a budget like I was and are willing to sacrifice a bit of ambiance to save a substantial amount of money, I think you'll be satisfied with the accommodations for the price. "Hotel of last resort"
I stayed at the VQ because I booked my trip last minute and there was a conference in town. The whole place had sort of a wet rotten smell including the rooftop bar / resturant. The room, while relatively clean, was horrendously out of date and the beds were uncomfortable. Also wifi was barely usable and the neighbood offered little one could (or would […] want to) walk to. "Would not recommend!"
The only good thing about this hotel is that it is VERY close to the football stadium so, if you're staying in Denver for a game, this hotel is pretty convenient. The hotel is very old and outdated. I had to wait 10+ minutes to get assistance when I checked in because the woman at the counter was on the phone and didn't acknowledge my presence at all. […] There weren't any other staff around. The room was very hot when I got in so I turned the air on to try to cool it down. I left and came back about an hour later and the hotel room was even hotter and the thermostat read 80 degrees. I called the front desk and was told that the A/C didn't work and my only option was to open the window (in November). The window had no screen or anything so that was a bit unnerving. The wi-fi never worked for me either. The drain in the shower was clogged so, when showering, the tub would fill with water. Overall, the hotel was pretty gross and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. "Very OLD!!!"
Terrible review I know but because of several conventions in town everything was booked. One good thing was the front desk service. Super nice and helpful. This property is old though and the heat didn't work in my room. Very nice people but you can do WAY better for the same $$$ or less.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This place needs to be remodeled. The room paint is chipping, sheets had holes in them. The pros were the shuttle into downtown, free parking, and a decent breakfast at the Skybar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Business Trip"
I always stay at the Hotel VQ because of the hotels location and shuttle service to downtown Denver. The staff is always very friendly and the rooms are comfortable. However, the rooms are in need of upgrading. My room has some tears in the carpet and it was outdated. "VQ was a good budget decision"
The hotel is quite old but ok if you need just a place to sleep. Don't hope for too much at the restaurant on the top floor. It is more of a beek bar than a restaurant. Wi-Fi is ok, the shuttle cervice to Denver Downtown is great. You walk out of the hotel and here it usually is - a white van that can take you to the Convention center in Denver in 5 […] minutes. If it is not there - ask for it at the front desk. It is free but gratuities are appreciated by drivers as. You cannot walk from VQ to Downtown easily because there is a highway between the two. If you are planning to share a room and you are three people, in double queen rooms the hotel would not put a rollaway bed because of a safety hazard. So, make sure you mention that you are three people and will need an extra bed at the time you check in. Hopefully, they can find you a bigger room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"VQ Denver"
Booked here as an alternative to expensive downtown Denver hotels during a trade show. Glad that Bronco's season was over or this would have been a nightmare as the hotel sits in the parking lot of the stadium. Rooms were a little worn, probably due to post game partying. First night was horrible. I was given a room facing downtown and the freeway, […] The traffic noise, especially trucks, between 1am and 6am was brutal. Don't accept a room on the East side. Staff was very cooperative on switching rooms next morning. West side was significantly quieter until the trash truck showed up one morning at 6:30am........... Free shuttle to convention center, $10 cab rides back. Wireless was pretty slow for this day and age. I might stay here again, but wouldn't recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Value"
After reading the prior reviews, I knew what to expect...a hotel in need of updating, but a great value. The VQ did not dissapoint. While not glamorous, the VQ was comfortable, and the people working there are great. And you can't beat the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice accommodations, good location, and great scenery. (my room looked out to the stadium)Genuine Expedia guest review
"Less than thrilled"
The hotel is old - inside and out. They have updated the lobby and their restaurant, but the rooms have not been updated. It was a fairly comfortable hotel, but not as modern as the preview shots would lead one to believe. It is, however, convenient to access the 25 corridor with quick driving access to downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Dan S at Hotel VQ Denver"
Fitness center did not open until 8. This is not what one would expect. I prefer to workout inthe am before work. They said that the late opening is due to complaints from rooms next to and below the fitness center. Maybe they should consider moving it to a different location in the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel VQ: Not so nice..."
The manager at the hotel had a lot of attitude. When asking for simple things such as enough towels for each person in the room he had attitude. Also, the hotel advertises a shuttle service. It was horrible. Quotes were always wrong. Usually we had to wait double the amount of time quoted or they just forget about us. If you are going to advertise a […] service it should be done right. The location is great. If you're at an event it is worth just going there to leave your bags and then never go back to the room... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
