We booked the hotel last minute, but good a good deal on the rate. It is only about a block and a half from the 16th St mall, and walking distance from pretty much anything you want to do in Downtown Denver. The stay at the hotel was good, upon our arrival the guest services was very pleasant. The room was clean but very small especially the bathroom, it was a little uncomfortable but for only one night it was ok. Naturally this is in a great location for the downtown scene. Not this particular hotel's fault, as all downtown hotels have taken to gouging the patron for parking, but it would be nice if Denver would stop punishing tourists by making them pay $24-29 a night for parking. Pretty stupid. This hotel is quite classy...the staff is knowledgeable and direct […] but still friendly. My room faced 17th street and the building next door was doing construction. At 6am. That was a little annoying but not Marriott's fault. It only lasted for about 45 minutes so i'm thinking the masses complained and got them to stop. Excellent service, beautiful hotel, very comfortable beds. Only downside was the parking. If you want to self-park, you have to drive around the block to use a parking garage. Was a long walk to carry luggage and the parking garage did not have an elevator. "Not much value or convenience for the price"
Though there were 4-5 kids on hand for valet service, it seemed one hand didn't know what the other was doing; very unorganized. Other than $20+ valet service, the only other option for parking is a $10 per day garage one block over, but watch out for one-way streets and construction detours when trying to get one block over. I was only there ~12 hours, […] and was probably only at the hotel to sleep for 8 or so, so i probably didn't get to explore other things this hotel has to offer. Seems this hotel is best suited for out of town/country Lacrosse teams, in Denver for 3 day tournaments, as opposed to someone in town for a day on personal business.
