Multimillion-dollar mansions flank Beverly Hills’ palm-lined streets. Lifestyles of the rich and famous are on full view on Rodeo Drive’s boutiques, from Armani to Zegna. Not coincidentally, the Melrose District east of Beverly Hills has excellent secondhand shops. Many up-and-coming design studios are based in Melrose. Nearby, West Hollywood, or WeHo, is the epicenter of Los Angeles gay life.

"Perfect location"
We were so pleased with the location of the hotel. It is within easy walking distance of LACMA, La Brea tar pits, the stop for the Star Line day tour buses and it is on the regular city bus route so we could easily travel to downtown and Santa Monica beach. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and "The Roof" restaurant was THE place to be. […] Highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really great!"
I honestly loved this hotel! It's kind of funny because when trying to find it I drove by it since it is amongst the other buildings, but after making my way back and turning into the parking area/valet I knew I was in good hands. I've never parked valet before and the attendants were very kind and told me exactly what would happen with my keys, car, […] etc. and when I needed them to just call. I checked in about 2 hours early and my room was ready to go. The bed was comfy, even though it did have some sort of plastic lining on it. When I went to sleep I never even noticed. Comfy pillows too! I rarely like hotel pillows and these were great. The room was spotlessly clean. The mini fridge was packed with different beverages (for a fee) if you're into that sort of thing. I just went out into the area to eat and drink. The hotel is a short drive to specific sights like Hollywood and Highland and La Brea Tar Pits. I was going to a concert and that literally was about a 2-3 minute drive. Perfect location. I will definitely stay here again if I see another concert at the venue. "Accessible"
Pretty easy to get to considering we were not familiar with the area. Minutes from some of the typical tourist spots which is why we selected the hotel in the first place. The only downside was the mini fridge, which was barely cold enough to chill a beverage, and it was packed with overpriced beverages which we simply moved into a drawer to utilize […] the not-so chilled fridge. "Nice Place"
Very nice, clean, quiet place to stay. The only thing I can say was that the bed was wrapped in something that was crunchy?? maybe some sort of a mattress protection that made it a little noisy otherwise great place. The food at the restaraunt was very good the service was fair. Very nice and attractive but they all seemed to be new. I'm sure that will […] get better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not too bad overall..."
Being a brand-new built Hotel, The Hotel wilshire comes across as a very modern. Our room was very large (jr. Suite), and overall very impressive. The carpet was a little dirty in our room, though, which I remember also reading in a past review. The service was largely OK, but a few requests we made took quite a while to be fufilled (eg. extra towels). […] The hotel was still a very nice place to stay, and was a quick car-ride from everything in Hollywood. If you don't have a car, you'll be taking a cab everywhere, though. There is an awesome farmers market and high-end strip mall (featuring a Gordon Ramsay restaurant) within a 10 minute walk, though. The restaurant on the top ("The Roof"), leaves a lot to be desired, though. I read pretty terrible things in past reviews, but we were tired one night and wanted to give it a try. The service was poor and the food was horridly overpriced (even by LA standards), with micro-sized portions. You'd be better off just going to the Melrose strip which is 5 mins away, and the restaurant capital of hollywood. If you do happen to eat there, the side dishes are actually very large, as as such, good value. Just order sides and your bill will be 1/2 as much with 2x as much food. "Comfort plus."
Great hotel at a very reasonable price. Staff very helpful. Good for relaxing or good for a base for busy sight-seeing. Need to be organised with transport as everything in LA is quite spread out. I'd definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Meget bra!"
