The hotel smelled like smoke as soon as you entered as well as had ash trays every few doors. Being allergic to smoke and the hotel being labeled as a smoke free hotel, was very disappointing. Just terrible, I booked several rooms because of the location just right for my needs. Arriving at the inn we noticed the police, ladies of the evening asking if anyone was ready to party... As soon as I walked in to the room I knew that I had make a mistake. For the price, I would expect carpet and bedspreads that are less than 30 years old. I stayed here with my girlfriend when plans to crash with friends nearby fell-through. It was great for our needs. This place was a pleasant surprise. It's only a few minutes away from the Hollywood strip, so the surprisingly low price made me think that, well, something would be sketchy. Maybe a little pricey for what it was, but it was not bad. You could tell the hotel was an older hotel and the room smelled old too; opening a window and turning on the fan helped with that, though the street and even the a/c unit were loud. I stayed here in large part due to the positive reviews. Who is giving these reviews, though? The room had cheap dilapidated 20 year old furniture and smelled of nasty Indian fragrance to cover up the cigarette smoke. The bed was supposed to be a queen, but was closer to a double and the sheets had cigarette burn holes in them! No hair dryer, iron, […] nor ironing board was available. I wasn't comfortable leaving anything of value inside the room because there was no deadbolt and the door didn't close tightly.
