"Nice hotel in a convenient locationp"
We just got back from a LA trip staying at O hotel. The location is central to a lot of transit and it's very convenient. The room was big and clean. but I felt the elevator and hallway was a bit dark. and there were way too many switches in the room to control all the different lighting. Joe at the morning frontdesk is fabulous and give excellent information […] and suggestions. Commute to Disneyland: No. 460 bus stop directly outside hotel $2.90 one way. unfortunately, halfway through the trip, once it gets to Norwalk, the bus goes on local streets, so better plan for a 2 hr commute. (Knotts Berry Farm is also along this bus route) (coming back from Disneyland at night is a 1.5 hr commute and get off at 7th and Figueroa) Commute to Hollywood: 1 block walk to 7th street and flower metro station. $1.50 one way, take the red line to Hollywood and Highland. (Universal studio is one stop after) Commute to LAX: take the metro red line to Union Station at 7th street and flower for $1.50 one way. Go up to street level, Bay 9 take LAX flyaway shuttle bus, $7 per person. Commute to Santa Monica beaches, pier, shopping district: 2 block walk to 8th and Grand, take the Big Blue Bus $2.00 one way. about 45mins bus ride. get off at final stop. "Extra $12 fee"
A $12 charge was added to our hotel stay as a convenience charge for water, gym membership and continental breakfast. I did not ask for this charge and only found out about it when I was checking out of the hotel room the next day. I think if they are going to require an additional charge then it should be included in the hotels.com fee or written as […] a side note on the website. The bathroom also had a sliding translucent door allowing other hotel guests to see your shadow on the toilet, which is a little awkward no matter how long you've been married :-) I would not recommend this hotel. Just a 3 block walk to the Staples Center - no parking headaches. Good choice of places to eat in walking distance... PLUS quick options IN the hotel. Great boutique hotel. "Pretty awesome"
The technology in the room was top notch. They thought of everything as far as convenience goes. The hotel is small and most LA attractions are in very close range. The only issue I had was that the TV was kind of ridiculous to set up. It had never been turned on before and we had to spend 20 mins just setting it up. This was absolutely incredible. Right downtown, walking distance from some cooler places around 2nd & Main. The service was attentive, well-versed in the area, and was most accommodating. Getting there and back from LAX was easy. There's a Ralph's across the street and a subway stop (yes, the LA subway) just a couple of streets away. The hotel's decor […] is boutique and modern. "The o hotel, no frills, but comfortable."
O-hotel was a unique place to stay. Decorations were modern but minimal. Bed was comfortable, room smelled a little musty. The cooling,heating unit was impossible to figure out, it had it's own remote with instructions but I couldn't get it. Hotel staff was pleasant and I felt safe at this hotel. Contenital breakfast consisted of two kinds of bagels, […] apples, oranges and coffee and a few pastries. Parking was expensive but typical for downtown. Had to pay an additional day-use fee, even though I didn't use any of the amenities, but that fee was listed In the hotel info. Red elevator was very cool, provided a nice effect!!! "Stayed for Laker Game"
The room was very nicely decorated. Was just like the pictures advertised. Shower does not have a tub but it works. However what didn't work was the AC man I turned it down so low and it was barely blowing room temperature air terrible! Also, I requested a DVD player in my room before I checked in, at check-in, & about 30 mins later when I went out […] for the night and Nothing! no DVD player was ever brought over to me. "Not many good things to mention"
I chose this hotel for being mentioned as a new, boutique hotel but I was disappointed in most aspects. The location was close to the metro station but the surrounding neighborhood was scary - homeless people, darkness, I did not walk around the hotel after dark. The small size of the room is fine, but it was too dark - I couldn't even read a book […] in bed. The shower was dirty with hair from the previous guest on the shower wall, cracks in the bathroom wall as well. Carpet was stained. The room I was given was right in front of the elevators and was very noisy. You could hear the music from the first floor and people chatting in front of the elevators at 3am woke me up. Although I put the "do not disturb" sign on my door, a hotel staff knocks late at night while I was asleep to bring a food menu I haven't even asked for. "Not Impressed"
Check in and check out took forever. Nickel and Diming got lame very fast. Hotel rates don't include a $12/person charge; the only reasonable parking is the ramp next door for $20/day (no discount). No wifi in rooms, no ethernet cords in room, have to request. Continental breakfast very limited. Entrance way nice, room have clean style, enough room […] for 1-2 people, but by no means are upscale. Personally, I would not stay there again on my own money. I guess its just unfortunate that even today the standards for hotels typically include bad taste (e.g. disgusting floral prints) so any place that has a modern clean look (even though multiple items appear from ikea) feel like they can overcharge. "Flot hotel med god beliggenhed"
Hotellet var rigtig fint indrettet, flot interiør. Hjælpsomme i receptionen, hjalp med at leje bil samt andre detajler til at finde rundt i byen. Ligger perfekt i downtown LA. Der var dog lidt larm til kl 01 om natten da der var en bar nedenunder. Men det havde de advaret om i receptionen. Der var gratis morgenmad, hvilket vi ikke havde regnet med.
