"Couple's Stay - Event at Staples Centre"
The hotel was chic & modern, and we were able to check in early (around 11 am). Lighting was dim in the elevator & hallways, but it might be the hotel "theme' - I guess it gave off a chic, romantic, lounge-y vibe to the hotel. Our room was clean and smelled nice when we first entered. Not very big, but had everything we needed, so we were satisfied. […] Modern decor and nice lighting. Perfect for romance, or if you like being able to control lighting in your room. Quick room service, although the ladies didn't quite understand our request for a second bathrobe. Booked the hotel mainly because of it's location to Staples Centre. We watched a concert, and were able to walk the 2.5 blocks safely. Although we enjoyed our stay very much, we would choose an alternate hotel if the price was right. We would pay the parking fees surrounding Staples, and stay somewhere outside of the downtown area.The neighborhood was clean, but seemed a bit sketchy as we walked back from Staples to the hotel. "Convenient for those relying on public transit"
Neat and clean. Perfect if you don't want to bother with renting a car, but still want to see places around LA - we visited Santa Monica, Disney Land, Santa Catalina island, Hollywood, Chinatown. Not bad for the price. But they said we would have a "city view" which was no where near that. Our view was of a building. The bathroom door doesn't close all the way which is not enough privacy. The shower is not comfortable no door and you have to hold the shower head. "Great Boutique Hotel close to the subway"
We really liked this hotel. It is a well designed boutique hotel in a downtown of megahotels. Only a block or so from the red line that took us to all the big tourists sites without needing a car. The beds were very comfy. The restaurant is amazing. The food was incredible and a great stop even if you don't stay here. They serve craft cocktails and […] a very select unique beer and wine list. My only complaint is that the bar closes at 11pm making after show/game drinks impossible and they shoo you away from the lobby sitting area when the restaurant closes. Outstanding experience. Room was a little smaller in size than I'm used to, but it was adequate. Bed was extremely comfortable and the allowed a very restful sleep. "So Convenient"
Stayed at the O Hotel recently because it was close to LA Live and we had a concert to attend. The staff was so courteous! It was our anniversary and we were upgraded to a better room. First of all, the hotel is clean as well as our room... but there is a mandatory $12 fee for their services which includes newspaper, breakfast, gym access etc... Plus their parking fee is $11 daily without in and out privilege. So, I needed to drive around to find a parking in the evening since I was going out at night. The hotel lobby had a great ambiance. Very trendy and seemingly geared toward a young crowd. The rooms and especially the bathroom was tiny. But decorated contemporary and fitting to the rest of the hotel. It was a great location to the Staples center (easily walked) with a grocery store and a few restaraunts sprinkled near by as well. Om man är ute efter att bo centralt i LA är detta ett bra val. Jag är dock inte jätteimponerad utav själva hotellvistelsen. De två killarna i receptionen var helt ointresserade och ville nog allra helst bara sitta hemma och surfa på facebook. Däremot träffade vi även två tjejer i receptionen och de var jättetrevliga och hjälpsamma med allt möjligt. […] Rummet var vad man väntar sig utav ett hotell i den prisklassen, fräscht, fint och städat. Frukosten däremot, var undermålig om man jämnför med priset man betalar för. Bagel, cream cheese och en kopp kaffe är helt enkelt inte bra nog om man bor längre än en natt. Ett plus är att gymet har ett avtal med närliggande Gold's Gym Downtown LA, så man får träna gratis på ett förstklassigt gym om man vill.
